Welcome to Ann☆'s lore post!!
I figured out that I feel the need to tell the story behind my oc so I can present it to people clearly!
Ann is basically me but also not me, like many people's mychara. She's basically me in an ideal PriPara Universe™️. So yeah basically the oc.
Ann is a lovely type idol whose preferred brand is Fantasy Time. She's adult year old and her character phrase is "um-um!" (used when she agrees deeply with others or with what she says; because I'm really shy, I actually “umum” instead of saying “yes” irl and I got people telling me it's a peculiar way to express agreement, so I thought it was quite funny as a character phrase). Born June 3rd. Her motifs are angels, bunnies and stars. Her favorite food is the fluffy and round angel food cake. Her image color is marshmallow blue (sub is white). The coord she usually wears in Pripara is the Kirakira Yumeme Coord.
Inside Idol Land Ann has the appellation of "Angelic Idol": she's gentle, soft spoken, slow, a bit childish in the most moe way possible (e.g. Kirara Hanazono). It seems like she has her head somewhere alse all the time, so much so that sometimes she forgets about Promises she signed up for and you'll find her in the Idol Land forest wandering around. Unfortunately her bunny manager is a literal ばぶ baby, so that also doesn't help her that much. Her idol goal is to spread kindness and to reach the hearts of those who are in need, especially children. She's easy to approach, a great care giver and will partake to any plan, even the most risky one (and she'll come back mysteriously all safe and sound…).
Outside Pripara Ann
As mentioned Ann is an adult. She aspires to become a children book writer and illustrator. Despite sharing the same naiveness of her IL persona, real world Ann is quiet, reserved and speak very few words to people. Because of this she thinks her attitude might scary strangers away, so she uses her Pripara counterpart to archive her goal to take care of others. She also wears big round white glasses but I don't like how I draw them so you have to take her glass-less! lol She shares her apartment with a pet chicken named Piyo-kun who will log in Idol Land to cheer on her lives (system desu!). She started Pripara during her first years of high school, were involved in the great memory cancellation thing, but gained her memory back when she found an old self-produced picture book about Pripara.

Hi, I'm trying to do art commissions, but no one has commissioned me yet. Do you have any advice for attracting customers?
I wrote a lot of words for you in hopes that at least some of it will be helpful, so I'm putting the bulk of this answer below a read more to save people the scrolling. The quick and easy two tips that I find people forget to do the most are:
Is your art easy to find? Having a pinned post with a tag for your art, a link in your bio, or an art-focused / reblog-light blog (like this one!) make it so that people know you draw, and knowing you've been posting art for a while makes you less likely to be a scammer.
Is your commission info easy to find? People can't buy things that they don't know you're selling; clear and accessible links to your prices and terms are important.
Now for the real bulky meat of advice giving, where I say a lot of words that may or may not be relevant:
I have a lot of advice, but I do want to say before getting into it:
A lot of selling art (especially in a non-industry setting, like with social media commissions) is luck.
There is no one size fits all method for selling art, and it's best to go with what feels right to you (I'll go more into this later)
Tips for selling are not necessarily tips for creating, and there will be advice in here that I don't apply to myself. Determining what you do and do not implement is something you should decide for yourself and your work flow.
Your art not selling doesn't mean nobody cares about it.
Personally I think the idea of intentionally curating a single subject demographic of Customer and Consumer for your work is limiting and doomed to burnout in a non-industry space. I will also touch more on this later.
Now for the rest of it in varying orders:
✨ Attracting Customers
This one is going first because you mentioned it specifically. It is kind of vague though, by nature of the term, so what I advise doing is specifying.
When you are thinking of a customer, are you trying to appeal to:
People who will buy pre-made art products? (Pins, stickers, prints, etc)
People who will buy custom work? (Commissions for specific subject matter)
People who will buy art resources you've created? (Fonts, bases, texture packs, 3d models etc)
There's also frequency: a repeat customer of custom art will usually be appealed to more by a wide range of options (like illustrations), while you might get more single-purchase customers if you only offer a limited range of options (like only icons).
Demographics also, of course, play a substantial role in just custom art commissions; furries get lauded as high spenders, but they're also a huge community that is focused around OCs, so by statistics alone they will have more people with spending money and will be frequent customers of people drawing OCs. A narrower audience means fewer people, but often the spread of the people within that audience is the same - and at the end of the day, selling an art piece only requires one other person, it's just a matter of happening to find them.
The follow up question is of course the finding: the average artist in fandom spaces selling commissions does not have the platform or budget for an ad campaign. This, however, is also its own category:
✨ Posting Online
Right out the gate: anyone who has told you that just drawing x thing is the way to get easy money is wrong.
"If you draw more fan art, you'll -" wrong.
"Nobody cares about that, you should be drawing this instead -" wrong.
"if you need to sell fast, just sell porn -" wrong. And also re-evaluate your perceived lack of quality or value about the subject.
The things you will be able to create easily and consistently will be the things YOU, SPECIFICALLY, like to create. It is also entirely impossible that you are the only person on earth to have ever liked those things, which means that if you create them, there are people out there who will enjoy them.
It feels itchy to be like "and those people are Potential Customers", but it is true; your work will resonate with people. They will want you to create it. It is vitally important to your own well being that the things you create, that you want others to enjoy, are things you enjoy as well.
(This is also why the "just draw porn" joking advice that gets tossed around is particularly fucked up. You as the artist should not feel forced into drawing things you aren't comfortable with, and the vast majority of customers for explicit content also don't want the people making it to feel forced into doing so. It's basic consent. I have strong feelings about this.)
If you are creating things and putting them out into the world, they will find an audience. That audience may be one singular person! The number does not matter, because that's still a person who - again, sucks to frame ig this way - has the potential to buy things from you.
If you're constantly chasing a bigger follower count, more interactions, etc etc for the future, it can genuinely be pretty taxing on the people who want to support you in the present. When you enjoy someone's work, and want to support them, being told constantly that that support is not good enough is frustrating. Trying to follow your work should not lead to seeing more "likes are WORTHLESS and NOBODY reblogs my things" posts than it does art. You are a person making things to share with other people, and you have to remember it or you will burn yourself out into a desiccated husk.
TL:DR consistency is key and the easiest way to be consistent is to just draw whatever the fuck you live drawing in whatever ways you want to draw it, and then slap it on the internet somewhere and Keep Doing That
✨ The Actual Commission Information
this one is just factual really. A lot of artists have really shitty commission sheet layouts, because advertising graphic design and illustrative art are different skill sets. That's fine. You don't have to remake the wheel. A good commission sheet should include:
More images than text (if you can't see what the examples are when zoomed out, you have to rearrange or cut down on words)
Examples organized by price / type, and clearly labeled
Your personal favourites for examples - one really strong example piece is better than twenty tiny images of work you think is just "okay"
Contact information - having a method that works WITHOUT a social media account (email.) Is important and way easier to keep organized, imo
A SIMPLE list of strengths (the things you draw the best) and things you won't draw (common example: mechs). You do not need to list every fandom or subject matter. Limit yourself to a top five.
A clear and easy to type link for your terms of service. Carrd, and sites like it, is good for this. This will go into details about your process, what you will and won't do, permissions granted to the commissioner (like "no, you can't make an NFT with this"), your privacy policy (saying you won't sell commissioner details to third parties), and other stuff. You do not want to have all of this on your original post, because it should be thorough and you want your main post to be showcasing your work and not your legalese. Here's mine as a reference; if you have trouble writing your own, feel free to copy from it and make the necessary alterations for your work.

What is the first thing each of your OCs does when they wake up?

Ok, this got me thinking a little and it's become a morning routine description, oops? xD Alyra on top and the rest under the cut!
(hi, if you're reading, feel free to ask me about my blorbos! :3)
Alyra: Grabs the knife under her pillow better. Just to be sure, she checks she's alone in the room. She found out three assassins this way, don't blame her. She gets up, get dressed, has a quick breakfast up to her room as she reads her mail and reports. Cleaning up takes longer, she has a very precise routine (she's the one that in a modern AU will go fully Korean routine), carefully braids her hair so by the time she walks out she's in pristine condition.
If she's with Morrigan, the first thing in the morning is greeting Kieran and teach him to wield a dagger. Mages can use some self-defense too, keep that dagger straight, you don't want to cut yourself. (it's a real dagger? Yes. He'll pay more attention like this). If she's with Alistair, the ritual includes waking him up when she's done with her hair. "You can't braid anyway, why would I wake you up sooner?" "You're so romantic, my heart is melting." "Don't let it trickle on the carpet, please."
Raina: Rolls over, groans loudly, begs Beowoof to let her sleep and to go to her brother (but scratches his ears anyway because he is a good boi). When said brother arrives and free her from the dog, she falls back asleep for some times more, if she's not particularly stressed or anxious. Stays in bed anyway. When she wakes up for real, it's a kiss to Merrill and one to Bela, and then she goes kick Fenris out of bed (he's very happy about it, yes, only besties threaten each other of very painful deaths. "Yes yes you can take my uterus first, please do if it'll free me of periods. Here, I'll raise my shirt for you, suit yourself.") and get some exercise together. He was the one to train her with some better form with her daggers, they kept the habit. By the time Garrett is back, everyone is ready for breakfast.
Garrett: Stretches and smiles to the new day, kisses Fenris good morning, dresses, retrieves Beowoof from Raina's room. Goes jogging as he walks the dog, enjoys the city in the hours of dawn when just the bakers and fishermen are up and about. He won't really miss Kirkwall, but he will remember fondly running around with the dog, greeted by the early workers and enjoying the sky painting in nice colours, enjoying the quiet and be able to think better than in the house. Plays some with the dog, buys some baked goods for everyone and then heads back home for breakfast.
Aisling: Rolls over and cuddles the person she sleeps with as she rests for 5 minutes more. When she's alone she fights her maid, Frida, that gets her out of bed each morning and scolds her because she stayed awake to the wee hours again and she is surly and groggy now and she left her room a mess. The scolding task was officially left to Cullen with a relieved sigh when he moved over to her room. A pity he sleeps as little as her, so poor Frida now has to wake up TWO people who slept to little and are groggy. After then it's breakfast time.
Post Trespasser, she'll walk the dogs and go feed the animals as Cullen cooks breakfast for them.
Radha: She wakes up naturally each morning at the same hour. Doesn't stand too long in bed and gets up. She's very grumpy when she's just awake, and the first thing is always going to get some tea to wake up, which she sips while reading. After she has her tea, she is functional and can be spoken to and can properly start with her morning activities. The clan knows she's even less talkative in the morning, she makes herself scarce in Skyhold until she's functional. Solas learnt quickly that every greeting before tea is only met with a "No." (he finds her cute).
Max: Switches off her alarm clock, wakes Liara up if she's there with a horribly cheesy pet name. She uses a new one each day.
Feed the fishes and hope they won't die, feed the hamster and then some light exercise, a shower, get dressed and fix her make-up. Then she goes to the kitchen to brew some coffee herself because nobody is allowed to touch her moka pot anymore after Gardner washed it with soap, and coffee is the only one thing her petty-italian gene will run strong about (she eats pineapple on pizza and breaks the spaghetti, would live on junk food and fizzy drinks, but coffee? Espresso or death). A cup of coffee, some biscuits as she reads the news, and she's good to go to.

So since there was a bit of interest going around, i thought i should finally bring this to the world and share about it. Soooo....
What is CGG?
Cgg stands for college greek god. The name for this au is still a wip bc this was during school time and i just needed a quick name to call it jfuieujdjd. This au is basically a slice of life au, following the sextuplets in a bunch of goofy (or even angsty) college situations 👀(yes, they're actually in college here dndjsj).
Now, I know the name can be a lil confusing. But no, the bois aren't born as gods. They are not reincarnations. And they are not possessed. They're just their normal selves along with everyone else. It isn't until a field trip to a museum in their elementary school days that their, and so many other people's, lives have changed. An artifact they were exposed to somehow caused them to embody divine beings. But they don't know it happened. One day, something triggers the being to "wake up" inside of a person and now this person has special abilities, along with some characteristics, instincts, and even a sense of memories from the being that now sorta resides in them. Whoever has been affected can have a god, goddess, nymph, titan, etc in them now (i don't know if i will add monsters to this). The bois have 2 gods each (I'll explain later as to why). Being gods, these new consciouses have a big influence on the bois, probably leading them to make choices they never would've faced on their own. But really, everyone who has been affected is just trying to live their lives like everyone else. It's their choice to keep trying to fit in or not.
Like I said before, each Matsuno brother has 2 gods residing in them. That is because there are a few canon Greek god aus, but the gods the bois represent are not always the same. There are a couple I had to choose myself, but this is all mostly guided from canon aus and art. If a person was affected they can have 1-2 beings in them
This au is originally intended as a friend au. All the Matsuno's are already paired with a sona belonging to my friends. I'm not saying that your sona/oc can't join in and be paired with a Matsuno or interact with them in any way, I just ask to respect that this au was and is ORIGINALLY for my group of friends to enjoy. They also help me with a few ideas to make this au better and more fun fjekfkdk
Another thing i hope that you respect is that there is NO PROSHIPPING and NO NONCON/DUBCON in this au. Yes, i know Greek mythology gets a little.....much, but I don't want that anywhere in my au. So don't make the excuse that since 2 gods were lovers before, that's an excuse to bring in blmatsu or whatever else. Im pretty chill when it comes to that stuff, not saying anything and moving on, never looking at that sort of content again. But if i see that anywhere on my dash with my au, i WILL block you. This is your ONLY warning. This au is to have fun and for it's og and future enjoyers to be comfortable
If you have any questions about this au, like about the bois or their situation, what gods they have, what woke them up etc. don't be scared to ask!✨ This post is mainly to inform the insp and the premise of the au. I have no idea if i will make a sideblog for this. Maybe if there's enough interest in it.

✨: Are they a magic user? If so, how did they come to learn it (born with it, studied, acquired, etc.)? What does their magic look like when cast? If not, what is their attitude towards magic?
CAM:
CAM's magic comes from the Frain family, and as a result his magic stems in golem-making and maintenance. He is also able to craft smaller, basic robots who exhibit similar properties to golems just with different materials. He primarily focuses on metal materials, as he is a robot and has trouble making golems out of organic material.
Further, he has a little bit of proficiency with 'hacking' based magic, which while it can be used to momentarily pause an enemy mage's magic crest, as he was created as a helper to the Master of Chaldea originally, it now manifests as a 'buff' to an ally's magic.
CAM was created by combining a robot with the remnants of Roche's magic crests found after his death in Apocrypha. As a result, he is powered by someone he never knew. Further, the Frain family created him as a way to survive after the war, funded by Chaldea, and so he did not get very loving attention from them. As such he's conflicted on his magic. However, with people like Paracelsus and Avicebron, he's growing to appreciate his magic and what he can do.
Armand:
Armand primarily uses mineralogy magic. Unlike other mineralogy based mages like Tohsaka Rin and the Edelfelts, Armand's magic manifests less in jewels and more with actual minerals and alloys. The Rose family, having been shunned to the rockier parts of Scotland, was forced to work with what they had.
Combined with some very basic rune magic, Armand's magic focuses not on the flashy, bright jewels, but on the sturdy, strong rock. The rocks he carries around are close to rune stones for quick bullets if needed, but with enough preparation (rune carving) he can move the earth. He refrains from using curses and other spells associated with big mage families due to his family's history.
Further, the rope he carries is braided with volcanic rock. When activated, it can burn its victim. Growing up, he was not the one originally meant to have the magic crest. To him it feels uncomfortable and foreign, which may be why he refuses to use common spells and instead focuses on what he knows - the earth.
💍: Among their current companions, are there any that are narrative foils to your OC? How so?
CAM:
For CAM's companions, the closest one is definitely Nezha. As both robots awkwardly shoved into their bodies with a mix of memories, the two work together to save the world. However, Nezha is marked with anger, and CAM struggles with being unable to feel that frustration as it was not programmed. They find solace with one another and Nezha tries to help him work with his feelings so he does not follow a similar path.
Armand:
While Armand's narrative is similar to some of the servants who were originally masters, the closest in terms of foils is with rather with fellow co-master, Poole. Both were both rather not considered by their respected families, and then the title of master was awkwardly thrust upon them. As well, they both have literary servants (Dumas and Jekyll), related to their love for stories. However, while Armand harbors hatred for the original heir, Poole cannot - and this is a point of contention for the two.
😍: What traits, physical and/or mental, do they find attractive in other people?
CAM:
One of the big things CAM finds attractive is,, for lack of a better word, is a complicated dynamic with what is 'being a human'. He gravitates towards other robots and 'living weapons' within Chaldea. Further, those who have been told they are not human but continue to love humanity/the world he finds extremely attractive. He is curious about the world, and those with knowledge or love to share make his CPU overwork.
Armand:
Armand would rather die than admit what he finds attractive, but for the most part - he likes those who are charming and know it, may or may not be the most annoying person on the planet and know it. He loves story-tellers. He also just likes people taller than him (that is not hard).

5. How do they feel about their family? Chosen and/or biological?
Biological family (his dam Aurelia and mother Ardea, plus his sire Obsius): loved them a lot, misses them even more. Finding out that Aurelia had survived felt like the bestest of miracles, and he is NOT leaving her side.
As a note, Aurelia could not remember a lot of things about their family due to what had happened to her in the Mists, and at first it hurt him a lot to see her like that, so different one could almost wonder if she was still his dam. Still, he was happy to help her regain those memories as she recovered, and they bonded a lot during that time.
Assigned family (late warband): misses them terribly and still wished he could have done more the day he lost them (he was wounded and knocked out before most of them were killed by Branded), but at least now he doesn't wish anymore he had died with them.
Adoptive family (his fathers Quazz and Myrn, his brother Tocchix): loves them to bits, regardless of the fact he had been "properly" part of their family only for a couple of years before joining the Order of Whispers (Tocchix had begun training a year into his adoption, but was still around often due to their parents' hospital being tied to the Order). On top of that, he quite literally owes them his life and a lot of his medical and alchemical skills.
Chosen family (basically everyone above who is still alive + his partners and cubs + Dragon's Watch and close associates): he loves them, they're all great and amazing, he wants them to be in his life forever, no he's not crying right now, yes you can give him a hug to comfort him.

11. Obligation or initiative, why do they do what they do? Is there something/someone specific that motivates them? (bonus: has their motivation changed over the years?)
When he was in the Legions, it was mostly obligation: in the fahrar he was the prospect Legionnaire, so he felt responsible for his friends' wellbeing and wanted to make his dams proud; after losing them, he was forced to join and stay in a warband that was mostly hostile to his presence, but that was all he knew and resisted as much as he could.
After leaving and being adopted, he joined the Order of Whispers because he wanted to be as helpful as he could and stay close to his new brother.
Took him a while and a few close calls to understand it, but his core motivation is to keep on living for those he lost and to fight so he doesn't have to lose anyone else.

19. Do they love easily (platonic, familial, romantic, etc)? Is love easy for them to express?
By regular standards, yes. By charr standards, absolutely.
He's quick to consider others in friendly terms, grows fond of people the moment they return his kindness, and he learned not to be afraid to show he cares for others from his parents.
[Trivia time: Ardea was quite affectionate with baby Adamas, and after he left for the fahrar (which was run by an ex member of the warband) she visited regularly to teach him personally (other cubs could join too). Aurelia was more distant (she wanted Ardea to feel like he was her biological cub since she had lost her own), but she visited as well so that was still a huge expression of affection for a charr. Adding to that, he grew up in their warband, where everyone was pretty chill and genuinely cared for each other.]
At first him being extra nice with all the other cubs in the fahrar made him a bit of a target, but since he had been taught how to peacefully de-escalate things AND how to end fights quickly, it was hard not to become his friend.
After he ran away to Lion's Arch and was adopted by Tocchix's family, he was a bit dumbfounded by how warm everyone was with him, but he quickly (and happily) adapted. Despite entering each other's lives when they were both on the edge of young adulthood, they bonded extremely quickly and he considers Tocchix his brother through and through, and he ended up calling both Quazz and Myrn "dad" within a couple of months or so.

We will begin with Fulin. To put it simply, Fulin is Blade’s adoptive son. Fulin is a 150-200ish year old Foxian who currently is in charge of Blade’s old smithy down in Aurum Alley. Fulin has the ears of a fennec fox and greenish-black hair/fur, his skin is unusually dark due to the smithy forge and pseudo-melanism, his eyes are a vibrant purple-red. He was left at an orphanage at a young age and doesn’t remember his birth parents, not that he wants to. It wasn’t long after that Yingxing came by the orphanage, invited by Baiheng, and immediately took a liking to Fulin.
Fulin was then adopted two weeks later. He came to Yingxing’s smithy and was instantly interested in blacksmithing. From there it spiraled into Blade teaching Fulin how to forge weapons and other miscellany. When Yingxing and Dan Feng started becoming close though Fulin was hilariously protective. And Dan Feng was just as eager to return the hostility. Its hella fucking funny to think of someone like the High Elder beefing with a kid over said child’s father.
After the whole ✨incident✨Fulin was taken in by Jing Yuan who is his current legal guardian and supervisor. He’s like Yanqing’s cool older brother in a sense. Fulin has a tense and uncomfortable relationship with the General though. After all, he was Blade’s old coworker…
He’s not mad at Dan Heng though, as a matter of fact, he’s hella quick to accept that Dan Heng and Dan Feng are two separate people and does not harbor any hatred for our Danny boy.
Blade misses his son dearly.
Next up is Furor Tontrui, the last High Elder of the Xianzhou Daiyu before its fall into Thalassa. Furor is currently held in prison in a secluded planet. Why? Because he is an Emanator of Abundance.
Furor is kept in a high security prison due to his existence as an Emanator and is actually treated rather poorly at the prison, dehumanized and all. He’s only as sane as he is due to Jing Yuan visiting him. In turn, Furor is obsessed with Jing Yuan and relishes in each second the two spend together as he is the only person who actually speaks with him. He lives a very lonely life.
Furor doesn’t remember his name, not that it really matters anymore. So he goes by Furor Tonitrui instead. He was imprisoned by the High Elders at the time and has been in isolation for forever, for several hundred generations. He didn’t even know the Daiyu fell until Jing Yuan told him. He is the only “survivor” of the Daiyu.
Furor is a very sad existence and HATES Yaoshi for making him an Emanator just for the fun of it and suffers from something like bipolar disorder, constantly saying contradicting things between his “sane” brain and his Emanator brain. Oh and did i mention his horns, that were a physical thing unlike Dan Heng’s, were snapped into pieces and now only stubs of amethyst-like crystal? Not only was he stripped of his humanity he was also maimed! :D
I have more hsr ocs but i’ll keep it to two for now. I have quite a few genshin ocs(i have a GROUP) that will take several hours to talk about too. If asked, i would happily speak about them more! :)

Oc recycling centres #1 customer ✨
[I'm so fucking lazy]
I just wanted to waffle about these fuckers don’t mind me
1 [Star Song]
I tried to faithfully recreate how the colors looked on paper digitally (because 95% of my art was on paper at the time)
I can't remember what the black spots or red streaks were about
I know I put ties & bow ties on many characters during my times of gender confusion
The style of hair is a result of the times of the show, many background characters would often have rainbow dash looking hair, and while most of it is based off of the mare style, the back part is specifically the stallion
The wings are a result of the fandom at the time, with many people adding color to wings because of Cadence
2 [Star Song]
This one isn't exactly a TV head it's technically called a droid, this character was created very quickly in an ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ for the ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ fandom
In their quick creation I basically reused most of the colors from the pony because I didn't have time to be creative
Many of their design aspects between both results you see here are because of challenge posted on the ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛
Even the character being a fusion is because of these posts - however because of one person saying oh like "Garnet from Steven universe?" I've always explained the character in reference to Garnet (a character I didn't know, from the show I didn't watch)
3 [Star Song]
At this point the character being a fusion had been long established on the ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ and I had added more colour to the hair to make them full rainbow when combined and half rainbows when split. This is supported by the heart on the chest and the heterochromia
Sometime between the first design and this design, one half of the fusion became male (gender confusion strikes again)
4 [Star & Musica]
These characters were again rapidly created as a result of fleeing the ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ - ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ now you can see how they split, hot & cold
While one of them was always more prone to anger, and lashing out when the other one was much quieter, and kept to themselves - polar opposites in the most boring way possible
Things like this where it's painful how lazily these were created, literally the only thing I changed about the designs was what they were, they were no longer a droid they were now humans, I didn't change their eyes didn't change their hair didn't even change their names
5 [Maya & Sam]
Wow I Actually Leared How To Colour A Character Without Making Your Eyes BLEED, It's A MIRACLE
I also stopped being a fucking coward and gave Sam his shaven sides that I had wanted to forever
And I made him trans in a way that made sense
Sam is his own person now with his own skills and abilities
He’s a gymnast and artist who practices astrology and studies chemistry
(although he's still neglected in comparison because I haven't been able to flesh him out as much as Maya, he's still much more of a character than before)
Despite the history of her original creation (and past gens) Maya has become my most fleshed out character out of any fandom (even earning multiple timelines, ex. the purple)
The scars on her lips were transformed into “joker” like scars on her mouth and they aren’t random (ex. the ones on her cheeks before)
Her grey teeth, rather than the off-white yellow that Sam has, is not a mistake either - the real ones were shattered in a fight
Same with the robotic arms being extra arms and not replacement ones, as well as the beep head not being permanent - she wants to remain has human as possible while still experiencing her work
I also changed their hot and cold, dynamic to Ying and Yang one and actually fleshed it out is that they have similarities and differences like real siblings
6 [Star Song]
Again I learned how to digitally color properly
Now with later seasons having more detailed background characters I felt more confident making a more unique design
Darkening the coat, throwing away the green and yellow, getting rid of those weird marks and tie
The hair now being just three shades/hues of blue that fit well over the cooler purple
They are no longer just a full pony
The wings being princess size rather than a normal Pegasus (+being unable to fly properly) and being a taller body type make them more unique
The heart on the hoof is a call back to gen 3 dolls
The feathers on the ears and legs are from hippogriffs
Coloured horseshoes/wings and the design of the feathered legs are from Gen 5 (the last being concept art only)
Anyways that’s all I wanted to waffle about for now, this whole page was about looking how far I’ve come with these characters and seeing how much I’ve learned over the years.
Looking back through my old art and looking at these old designs as I went... I can really see how some of my special interests in certain cartoons influenced the way I drew. One day I might go back and analyze all of it and write it all out for my own sake of self study... But not now

RAMBLE ABOUT AN OC!!!!
🎉 FIRST ASK!!!! HUZZAH 🎉
Uhhhhhh okay yall get a Glittering Oceans ramble cause they're the main oc I do stuff with here
GO was originally meant to be a really shy and socially awkward character, but over time they've lost the shyness and gained a lot of spunkiness (still socially awkward tho, I don't think I have a single oc who is actually good at talking to people (like me haha))
She also has ✨trauma✨ and also ✨abandonment issues✨ and also ✨severe anxiety✨ and also ✨self deprecation in favor of helping others issues✨
But i'll avoid going too deep into all of that unless you guys want me to (for now)
Oceans is really into archiving and data collection because of one experience they had a few cycles after her activation.
They were working on a speculative theory regarding the intricacies of the karmic system when she was made blatantly aware of the gaps in the global information network. GO had been trying to find any information on whether or not other organisms were familiar with the concept of karma, but there simply was no data out there. This caused them to go down a bit of a hyperfixation rabbit trail, trying to find as many gaps in the archives as possible. Their ancients were all pretty checked out, so they all kinda just let her do her own thing.
Unfortunately, Glittering Oceans is located... in the middle of an ocean... so they can't do a lot of their own research. Because of this her personal project mostly involves sending out an absolute shit ton on overseers to collect data on anything and everything so they can continue to update the global network for everyone. If any ancient or iterator happens to google some obscure fact, there is an approximately 25% chance that information exists because of Oceans.
This is why they have so many different types of overseers!! I currently have designs for six overseer types of hers (I'm thinking bout giving them a seventh tho)
They have regular ol' overseers, overseers made for precise data collection, overseers that are capable of transporting pearls and manipulating objects, overseers that boost the broadcasting signals of other overseers, overseers that help keep her structure maintained, and overseer overseers-- ones that she can project her consciousness into like their puppet and thus monitor all of that juicy data collection
i have so much more to talk about her and their local group members but this is already pretty chunky so I'll maybe save that

AVDJDHE do you think there's a situation with the headmistress Rosehearts AU where MC/Yuu ends up being 'adopted' by Madame Rosehearts and treated similarly to how Riddle is?
(Adoption being a bit more officially than being under the care of the head of the school - like Headmistress Rosehearts having their last name changed and gaining full custody and all that (idk how adoption works pls don't be mad lol))
Like if they were more meek, apologetic, nervous, perhaps a people-pleaser which would make them easier to mould into a perfect sibling for Riddle. (Not to mention the extra control shed have over them by holding the mongrel of a monster they seem so attached to over their head...)
The tension with sitting in a room with Riddle and Headmistress Rosehearts would SUCK. And (in the case where You/MC is Riddle's underclassman) I bet Riddle would probably be dealing with a porta guilt from not being able to keep them safe from his mother.
(I've been thinking about this a bunch because I have an OC based on Rapunzel who's had the whole 'mother knows best' line repeated to him nonstop - and he'd be quick to crumble under headmistress Rosehearts' tyranny. Plus he looks up to Riddle to that brotherly/mentor bond is already somewhat there lol.)

I feel like the first order of business would be pulling Yuu out of Ramshackle and into the headmages apartment that's on campus to live with her and Riddle. As her 'child' now, Yuu is expected to live with them and abide by all the same rules. With the exception of keeping Grim in control, Yuu and Riddle only really have each other now, because Mrs.Rosehearts does not allow them to socialize with anyone outside of school hours.
I do think in this context, maybe part of the reason she's doing this is because, in some fucked up way, Yuu reminds her of herself when she was young. Smart, able to handle whatever is thrown at them. So much potential she cannot bare to see wasted. In her mind she can bring Yuu out to their fullest.
