I got Darksiders 3 yesterday and I am currently playing through it. First impressions, I love the visuals, but the controls are hard to get used too. Of course I'm playing it on the switch, but the camera is very unruly. However, I love Fury so much more than I thought I would. The Watcher following her? Love her. Envy? Love her. Ulthane? Love him. Vulgrim? Love him. So far I love it. I also love Fury's accent? Also, Strife is in the disguise as Jones right? Or was that just a fandom thing? Because, I love Jones as well.

I will say that I've watched the pilot, and I tried to watch Helluva Boss, but the color palette literally gave me migraine, so I never went back to it.

I don't know. I might just watch the series and power through it because I want to know how they plan on treating Alastor.

I have a feeling that they are planning to tackle the whole AroAce people cannot feel any form of love and will never be happy (which is not true. Every single person under the A umbrella is different.) And a part of me hopes that they don't try to change his AroAceness, because like... It's nice to see an AroAce character in popular media ya'know?

Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but like... I have strong hopes for Alastor, and for the Platonic relationships he creates in the series.

Me, finding out about MK1: Oh, I haven't been active in the Mortal Kombat fandom since MK 10. I wonder how different this is? I mean, they have Reptile and Baraka so maybe it's not that bad.

Sometimes working at a pet store will lead to some strange things. Like, for example: One of my coworkers, her friends found, coincidentally, a couple of chicks on the side of the road. They turned out to be Meat Chickens (the solid white ones that get massive quickly), so I adopted them and took them home. Unfortunately, two of them got really sick and passed, but the other two, who are Dumpling and Soup, were healthy so once they were done quarantining, we introduced them to the other chickens, and literally nearly two years later, they are still kicking. Also, one of them had a chick, her name is Ducky, and she's almost a year old now.

The reason this is surprising, is because these aren't chickens bred for longevity. They were bred to gain weight quickly and die young, so that people can eat them sooner. But the fact the two are still kickin, eating and dust bathing and just enjoying their lives, really speaks volumes. They lose some of their feathers due to heat in summer, but we try to help them cool down with frozen juice and treats.

I love these hens. They sound like beached whales when they make any noises, they waddle when they walk, and they have surpassed any life expectancy that had been placed on them.

Something I noticed is how each rendition of Castlevania has different takes on religion and the church.

In the Main Timeline, to the best of my understanding, the church is an ally, even if they did some questionable things.

In the LoS Timeline, religion and church aren't the problems. It's the people within the religion and church, who are high ranking and abusing their powers and exploiting those under them, that are the problem.

In the Netflixvania Timeline, religion bad and it isn't expressed any further.

Again, if I am wrong on something, let me know! Especially on the Main Timeline!

If there's something I want to be known for on Tumblr, it would be for changing the perception of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. It is a good game! It's a great trilogy! It is a beautiful game and the story is wonderful. It has a good cast of characters and memorable moments that stick with you, even after the credits. I truly do hope that my love and gushing of this trilogy has helped some people give it another shot.

You know... If someone told me like, a year ago, that I would have the worst depressive episode of my life, so in an effort to feel better, I remake the Tumblr I made a couple years ago, only because Tumblr had started only letting those who have an account browse the site, and I would start interacting with people in both the selfshipping community, as well as people in the Castlevania (games) community, and I would make amazing friends out of it. To the point where I'm on multiple discords with these amazing people, I'm writing more, and I'm even getting back into RPing! I haven't RP since I was in middle school!

You know. I joke about how the Lords of Shadows trilogy is disliked amongst the Castlevania community, but like.... At least it isn't the ocs at a dnd costume party Netflix is giving new fans, and was a legit attempt to reboot the series and never tried to overshadow the originals. Seriously, like, Netflix Dracula is like if they tried to combine both Gabriel and main series Dracula, and it doesn't work. You know why it doesn't? Because their stories don't connect! It makes no sense! Their stories are literally the exact opposite! There's a reason that C:LoS is a side universe! Because nothing plot wise in C:LoS would make sense in the main series! Also, the whole morally grey Belmonts are done better in the C:LoS trilogy. Seriously. I feel so bad for the main series Castlevania fans. Y'all literally don't deserve the shit on a plate that is the Netflix series. I'm still so fucking salty about the Trevorcard tag though. I will never not be salty about that. It's so hard finding LoS Alucard unless you tag LoS somewhere in his name, when we had a perfectly good tag that Netflix fans hijacked.
