Between waking up in the middle of the night and walking this morning, I finished Ghost of Alchemy. So many things to love about it. I love how Louise Jameson gave us a villain who wasn’t a wacky sci-fi menace, just a human asshole. I loved learning that a major character was played by Nicholas Farrell, a favorite actor. (I never look at the credits before listening to an audio story; I want to imagine the characters, not the actors.) I loved the quieter scenes with Marie Curie and the Doctor and Leela. I will also be raising money for the charities National Autistic Society and Ehlers-Danlos Support UK, with some cool Doctor Who related prizes.
