          “Why did I ever let her convince me to have a baby?!” Vicky yelled in a panic. It was getting closer and closer to the due date and it was all suddenly very real. Franky didn’t just have massive tits and mood swings. She had a tiny human inside of her that her and Franky would have to raise for several decades. She couldn’t do that. She would probably end up smothering the baby in it’s sleep or giving it shaken baby syndrome.

          “Cause I turned out just great with how my parents raised me,” she muttered sarcastically. “I was the youngest of five, I’ve never even seen a baby. What the hell made me think I could raise one? Franky could do alright... maybe. Still don’t trust that she knows what she’s doing either. She’d just make a slightly less fucked up version of her. I’d kill the bloody thing.”

          "Leave me the fuck alone!" She was fucking tired and she didn't have the bloody energy to deal with The Freak. Everything seemed to be a struggle these days and she wouldn't take another on top of it all. She just wanted five minutes of some fucking peace and quiet. Was that too much to ask for?

Vicky hated snow. It was the worst. It was too cold and it made her angry. She hated being cold. She let out a puff of air, pouting and stomping her foot. She shook her head, rolling her eyes as she continued walking. “My mum was a dumb cunt and left me at the bus stop when I was a baby.” She hadn’t exactly been a baby by most definitions, but she’d been much younger. Only two or three. “Jimmy found me and took me home.” It had been one of the only times she’d been thankful to see one of her brothers.

Franky held her hand. She’d scarcely dared to relinquish it since the moment that she’d been granted entry to the hospital room where Vicky lay unconscious. It was one of the moments where she was truly thankful for having been in prison; she definitely wasn’t supposed to be there but she’d known which guards to avoid and which to barter with to earn her way in.

Her grip tightened slightly when Franky noticed the sluggish flicker of Vicky’s eyelids.
