#ChicagoFire S9. Ep. 2 "That Kind of Heat" Fall Finale #Brettsey #ChiHards #OneChicago
Well.......
First, let me get this out of the way so I can talk about the ending to this "fall finale" episode.
"That Kind of Heat" was a very good episode that had intense and a lot of emotional and memorable moments. Ritter stepping up along with Gallo to help Boden and then stops when Herrmann and company went to fill up the truck with gas to help save a woman that had fallen on the L-tracks.
Kidd gets her Girls on Fire starting off great but is missing one person and tries to convince her to come back but understands that she needs to work to help her parents during the COVID-19. That didn't stop Kidd as she saw an opportunity to help both the teen and Boden by given her a part-time job at the firehouse. She accepted and looks forward.
With the Amblunce 61 totaled, Severide tries to hunt down before it's gone for good. He saved the driverside door that has Leslie Shay's memorial on it. It also gave some clarity to Gallo and Mackey, who's questioned being at 51 after the accident) about being at 51. And learned the connection between Mackey and Cruz as he's like her guardian or big brother to her father that had died years ago.
Okay now that I got that out of the way. Let's get to the main story of this episode, Brett and Casey. Well, from the recent recap about Mackey, both Brett and Mackey came out fine. Casey does some superhero stuff to get to 61. Soon after Brett questions how Casey got there so fast and soon learned about how it happened later that night at Molly's.
The next day Brett couldn't make eye contact with Casey and tries to avoid him all shift. That is until later that night when Casey comes to Brett's apartment and asked why she was avoiding him and she replied with a kiss and soon the rockets blast off as they kiss and landed on Brett's couch.
But Brett asked Casey a question on whether if Gabby came back would he go with her and boy he used the wrong words in this one. Even telling Brett that he doesn't know because it's complicated. You got that right! And soon Brett asked him to leave and ended on a sad ending.
While that ended pretty sad from Brett's point of view, but let's look at the bright side they finally have admitted their deep feelings for one another. This show does not go one, two, or three episodes to see if a relationship would go anywhere (like other shows), but we will see how they'll be facing this relationship and whether or no Casey could let Gabby "My Miracle" Dawson.
So did I like the episode? Oh yeah, I loved this episode. This episode really played with my emotions and glad that I had the night off from work to watch this at home. During those Brett and Casey scenes my heart was beating fast, hands got cold and sweaty.
While Ritter and Kidd had a really strong story in this episode; I think the little story that deserves is Severide getting Shay's memorial door back to the new ambulance 61. That would have bothered me so much.
Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.
What did you think of the episode? How did you handle Brett and Casey's final moment?  Shay's memorial return? Ritter's rescue and Mouch's speech? Leave a comment below!

#ChicagoMed S6, Ep. 2 "Those Things Hidden in Plain Sight" Fall Finale #ChiHards #OneChicago
The fall finale of Chicago Med (if you want to call it that) dealt with changes and even family drama. Here's a recap!
After last week's episode, Dr. Laink had left Med and Goodwin made the announcement on who will be the Chief of the ED...that would be...Dr.Ethan Choi. Of course, Will wasn't too pleased because he thought that he would get it with his seniority at Med.
It didn't go well when Will's patient was suffering from an air bubble and trying to locate it took too long due to Ethan's decision on the course of treamtnet. Will talked with Goodwin and she told him that she didn't consider him for the Cheif position due to his past actions and recently in a relationship with an addict. Looks like Will might be looking for a new position with Dr. Viriani.
Natalie deals with a young pregnant mother that was brought in from jail but with no records of her condition. The patient demanded a professional OB and got one but the mother took a turn for the worst as she needed an emergency c-section. But soon things start to become with the patrol officers as they were going to take her back to jail on a misdemeanor.
Natalie goes full Wonder Woman pushing the parol officer away from the mother and baby. But she wasn't charged for anything because they don't want bad press. Go, Natalie!
Dr. Charles tries to bond or talk with Crockett since he hasn't shown up to a session. But just as Crockett starts his sessions, Charles gets a call from his daughter about her mother not well. They bring her into Med where Crockett performed emergency surgery for an ulcer. But Charles learns that his ex-wife was planning to move to Arizona. But looks like Crockett might need that session with Charles soon.
April treats a teen that's suffering from COVID-19 and her mother video calls her to check in on her. But soon the daughter's health was not in good shape and after April chewed a resident and got Ethan to give her patient a ventilator; it still wasn't good. Trying to reach the mother until April saw that the mother had arrived and tested positive for COVID-19.
"Those Things Hidden in Plain Sight" was a good episode. I thought with Choi as the new ED chief was a good choice. While the dynamic between April and Ethan didn't change a lot as Ethan gave April what she wanted but then stood his ground by not having the mother come to see her daughter before she passes.
While it did work with Ethan and Will. Will, not too pleased with the decision, tries to help his patient but Ethan buts in and makes a good story that really made Will look good. But proves to Will that he can be reckless at times with orders as Goodwin pointed out.
Natalie's story started off weird but it got better and well her pushing that cop away from her patient was super badass. Probably my most improved story in the episode. While Charles and Crockett's story was good and that maybe after watching Charles' family that he could talk about his soon.
Overall, I give this episode an 8/10.

#ChicagoFire S8, Ep. 20 "51st Original Bell" Season Finale Episode Recap and Review #ChiHards #OneChicago
The season finale of Chicago Fire had us questioning whether someone was leaving Firehouse 51. Here's a recap!
In the season finale of Chicago Fire Firehouse 51 deals with a chemical gas at a junkyard that put one of Severide's men in danger. That happened to be Capp, who took the worst of the hit with his eyes not looking good. Severide tries to look into it and even question the owner of the place; but that didn't turn out too well. After a talk with someone at the CFD about it, it looked like all those warnings paid off to getting the junkyard to shut down.
On the other hand, Capp skipped medical treatment at Med. Severide and Casey try to get him back before Will has to report it. After finding Capp at his home, Capp went back and after more than an hour for an eye exam, Capp will be fine.
Kidd's Girls on Fire is doing so well and with the help of Brett and Foster, it's getting Foster some life-changing idea. Foster talks with Kidd about how she reapplied to Med school and has an interview at Northwestern; but is worried about how Brett will handle it. The secret gets spilled when Will talks about it to Foster in front of Brett, who wasn't too happy.
Brett was also dealing with news about Scott deciding to take baby Amelia back to Rockford, Ill, but wants her to come over to be a part of her sister's life. After getting a bit of short advice from Casey about the partnership and all, Brett waits for Foste after her interview and tells her that they'll be lucky to have her.
Kidd gets worried about one of her students, who asked for the fire manual but didn't return to the program. We don't get a storyline ending but I assume that this will be addressed in the next season. Also, Gallo is dealing with tension with Violet, who he tells her that they should see other people. Taking advice from Cruz and others didn't help at all.
"51st Original Bell" was a good season finale that had the theme that someone might be leaving 51. Whether it might have been Capp or even Foster; I was leaning towards Capp. I just feel bad for Brett even more, who's seems to be losing everyone from her sister moving back to even Foster leaving too. I'm just hoping that she too isn't leaving. But this episode was Severide's for the taking as he fought tooth and nail to try to get answers to take down that junkyard that injuries his firefighter.
Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Chicago Fire available on NBC.com, NBC app, Google Play, etc. Hopefully, we'll see them return this fall!
UPDATE: As of yesterday, TVline had reported that Annie Ilonzeh won't be returning to Chicago Fire for Season 9. It's sad to see someone leave that's been so good for the past two seasons, Monica Raymund's replacement on 61. So Foster leaves 51, could she be going to Chicago Med? That would make Will excited to have on staff. Also, who could replace Foster? Violet? Oh man, that's gonna be fun to watch.
What are your thoughts on the news? Who do you think will replace Foster? Leave a comment and tell us your thoughts.

#OneChicago Crossover Event "Infection" #ChiHards #OneChicagoCrossover #ChicagoFire #ChicagoPD #ChicagoMed
Last night's One Chicago Crossover event was intense and thrilling that it felt like the Super Bowl of all Crossover events. Here's a recap!
The three-hour crossover event started off like any other day as the gang from Fire, Med and PD having a tailgating party outside of Solider stadium. But soon they notice a mysterious man drawing a big crowd and collapse; when they checked on him they notice his leg has been dissecting. What turns into a baffling mystery turns into a horror as not only the guy from the game but four more people (that includes a mother and her child) showing the same symptoms of the flesh-eating bacteria.
Soon as Fire, Med and PD are working an arson takes place at the University of Chicago bio-lab. Voight and the team take a foot on the case and soon Hailey finds the next victim but also had in contact with the victim with her blood on her. As Hailey is in quarantine along with everyone from that building as it's placement zero; Will and a former colleague work together along with the scientist from the university laboratory to find a cure for this made disease. If that wasn't enough; Goodwin is getting killed from the press as they're just trying to put fear into the news; while those that are quarantine escape because they don't want to be there.
But PD gets their first lead a man posing as an exterminator spraying bug spray around that apartment and Ruzek and Burgess finds their suspect, who just so happens to be working with Will at Med. Will spots the scientist destroying what work they had for a cure and attacks Will and leaves. As PD goes on the hunt, Chicago has been taking their own hands with their fears from the internet that includes attacking a local favorite restaurant.
As the suspect plays with PD, Voight turns the tables and searches history on the guy going six months; which leads to a place at the docks. There Ruzek spots a map of the next location, Octoberfest parade route but nothing happened. It wasn't until Burgess and Ruzek find a pattern of BRT Health Corp. decided to cut the suspect's fundings and planned to be at the board meeting that's scheduled for that day.
As Fire and PD get there, Halstead comes with the cure; Jay locates the suspect with hostages, some being infected with the disease. As Jay talks him with him; Hailey tries to get a shot from across the building but nothing. Jay takes a risk by cutting his arm to place the bacteria, but Voight had other plans. Hailey takes a distraction shot and Voight comes in shooting the suspect dead. As all as calm down, life finds a way back to being normal in the city of Chicago.
To note: During the episode, Cruz gets awkward with Chloe and when Brett and Mouch demand answers from him; he tells them that he's gonna pop the question. But it seems that Chloe had other plans as she calls their relationship off. Also, as the episode ends we see Ruzek asking Burgess if she would like to go with him; she does.
"Infection" was by far the best crossover event since the Fire and PD began seven years ago. I thought that they couldn't have topped the last couple but they sure have. While watching the first 30 minutes of the first episode, it felt so much like an hour and a half with so much to take in. There were moments of fear; like when Burgess looked at the mother in the van that turned out to be alive still with the infection.
The performance from the cast was great, they really did a fabulous job. There might be a couple of technical issues; like hearing Jesse Spencer's real voice when throwing the football, but it wasn't a whole let down. With the intense and thrills, there were emotional moments too; from Hailey bonding with Amanda to even Trudy telling CPD officers what's at stake. I thought I knew what television high was but after this crossover event, I know now what it feels like. Strong writing and story plot. Overall, I give this episode event a 10/10.
What did you think of the episode event? Leave a comment and tell us your thoughts.
You can catch Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD Wednesdays beginning at 8/7c on NBC.

#ChicagoFire S8, Ep. 16-17 "The Tendency of a Drowning Victim"/"Protect a Child" Episode Recap and Review #ChiHards #OneChicago #Bresey
"The Tendency of a Drowning Victim"
When 51 gets called to a ca in the lake; Casey doesn't waste any time to put his men in the freezing water to search for a dead victim. But he gets a twist that it turns into a scam of a fiance being taken out of her money so he can afford more to his model aircrafts collection. The case does put Casey and Severide at odds but not for long. Lilly returns to 51 to ask Herrmann for help to find her a place for her new bakery. But when Herrmann tries to do what he did for Molly's; it turns into a whole new ballgame. That doesn't mean that he hasn't given up on her but instead helps invest in her business. Brett and her birthmother bond but trouble come when she starts to have Braxton hicks contractions. But she did ask the question about her and Casey after she had met him. As Casey awaits for them at the ED desk, the doctor tells Casey about Gallo coming visiting that little girl who got burned. Boden is on a rampage at 51 and it doesn't have to do with the fire department. Donna has him on a diet and takes his anger at everyone one 51; so Kidd steps up to help with him until Ritter and Gallo come up with a way to enjoy a diet. "The Tendency of a Drowning Victim" was a very good episode from start to finish. Casey has a very good story in this episode with the twist and turns of the car accident. And the Casey-Severide bromance while had some bumps always ends with a nice ending this time with steak with Kidd. Watching those three at the end reminded me of Casey, Severide and Dawson were seasons ago. Looks like Brett's mother is on board for the #Bresey train. And I couldn't get enough of Boden and Kidd in this episode. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.
"Protect a Child"
When 51 rescues a disabled mother and her child from a house fire, it turns into an issue with the DCFS that gets Casey all fired up. After receiving multiple complaints from the neighbor about how the mother was unfit to take care of her child, the BCFS takes the child away. After another rescue at a warehouse factory, Casey and Gallo talk to the caseworker about comparing that mother to a group of big men trying to help save their friend at the warehouse. Also, Casey tells the story about Lou; an experience that was brought to him. In the end, the mother and child were reunited. Herrmann believes he should have his own quarters like Casey, Severide, and Boden but Boden doesn't agree. Herrmann takes the spot right between Casey and Severide but soon caused a small fire that has him reporting to the fire academy by Chief Walker. After seeing young girls hanging out with bad crowds, Kidd wants to help bring young women to the world of the firefighters with a Girl on Fire program. After getting positive responses; Kidd needed to find a partner to help her; Severide advised her to have Wendy to help. After asking her, she's all in. Brett's mother, Julie, makes another visit and asked Brett for her help in finding a place to live in Chicago. After making a call that didn't need both Foster and her, Brett meets a realtor to help find a few places. After meeting the guy asked Brett out but after thinking about it she turns the guy down. Maybe she's waiting to see where Casey will go; kind of like when Casey was waiting to see where Brett was going.  "Protect a Chid" was such a good and heartwrenching episode. The reason I say heart-wrenching is because of the story of the mother and child splitting up by DCFS and also we relive a bit of history of  Casey and Dawson having Louie for a short and painful time. It stays with you for sure. Loved Herrmann's story a lot in this as it was just downright hilarious. Also, I'm loving Kidd stepping up to make this program work. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10. You can catch Chicago Fire Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC.

#ChicagoFire S8, Ep. 13 "A Chicago Welcome" Episode Recap and Review #ChiHards #OneChicago #Bresey
This episode might be my favorite out of this season. When someone is in need of help, Chicago is there. That's what I took out of this Chicago Fire episode, "A Chicago Welcome" as Firehouse 51 saved a married couple that had moved to Chicago not too long ago. While the husband survived, his wife didn't and their cat goes missing; but with Brett and Casey being there for him by finding his cat and even pulled a few strings to get more than a few people to come to the funeral. It was enough to make you grab the tissues and as a #Bresey fan, it just makes both Brett and Casey's relationship grand. Meanwhile, while Froster is throwing a party at Cruz's apartment; Cruz felt that he was left out when he tried to come to the party. Froster apologies and makes it up for him to throw a better party than that one. Truck 81 gets a new truck and Herrmann isn't too pleased about it. Mouch pushes too much on Herrmann that puts a string on their relationship, but not too long. But it was Grosh that comes back to bring even more hell on Chicago. As he was the reason he gave Truck 81 the new truck. Boden and Severide don't think he has crawled over a new leaf and investigated it. It turns out that Grosh has been scamming the city and in return gets fired. "A Chicago Welcome" was such an amazing episode. This episode had played a lot in my emotions. Brett and Casey's story won me over so much. We even get the start of Brett's new story arc as she's wondering if she should meet with her biological mother, who sent her a letter. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10. You can catch Chicago Fire Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC.

#ChicagoFire S8,Ep. 12 "Then Nick Porter Happened" Episode Recap and Review #ChiHards #OneChicago
Someone's been crying wolf with the Firehouse 51, but who could it be? When Firehouse 51 gets a call from a school's fire alarm being pulled; the headmaster tells them that it was a false alarm. But that didn't sit well with Boden, Casey, and Severide and they get house call of a father being trapped under a water heater, which took longer to get him out if they didn't waste time with the false alarm. After that call, Saveride learns that the school has had three other false alarms within the month; which lead them to investigate it. After trying to use their method of ways, they get a tip from a student; who isn't quite liking the ways there. When 51 gets another call, they really went in to check all the cameras and did a search, which leads to a little boy, who pulled the fire alarm because he was being bullied. Meanwhile, the rent at Cruz's apartment isn't going well with Brett and began to look for a third renter. Mouch gives them the idea for Nick Porter, who's been going through a nasty divorce. While there Brett and Cruz weren't too happy having Nick around with his classic NASCAR videos and remembering the good old days with his wife. Brett and Cruz get Mouch to talk to Nick's wife and to see if she can take him back. After accepting him back, Nick leaves and Froster is now living with Brett and Cruz. "Then Nick Porter Happened" was a very good episode from start to finish. At first, the whole alarm thing at the school seemed pointless that first but the meaning of after watching it had a whole new meaning. Good writing and solid character development. Overall, I give this episode an 8/10. You can catch Chicago Fire Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC.

#ChicagoFire S8, Ep. 10-11 "Hold Our Ground"/"Where We End Up" Episode Recap and Review #ChiHards #OneChicago
"Hold Our Ground"
In the winter premiere of Chicago Fire, Severide's life in on the line, plus tension between two colleagues builds and 51 takes down a robber. Here's a recap! Picking up where we left off, Severide and the arsonist suspect are in the basement and ate fighting to get out due to being now a lit fire there; Severide saves him and is reprimanded back to Firehouse 51, but the partnership with Wagner is put in question with Kidd, but Severide takes care of that. Meanwhile, Firehouse 51 learns that they'll be sharing districts with Firehouse 20 and some aren't too happy like Gallo. But after a call of an accident; Truck 81 lost their tool and learns that someone had stolen it to use it to break in ATM machines. Gallo and Casey work together to figure the guy; it turns out that they would meet that guy after being diverted on a call thanks to Firehouse 20. More on that later! After the first accident, as 51 returns to the station, Mouch had a letter stuck to his boot and tried to bring it back to the post office; but wouldn't take it. Mouch tries his best to figure out how to get an address but with the help from Ritter, Mouch got that letter delivered home to the wife of a falling soldier. The tension is building out of the blue between Froster and Brett. It gets so crazy that it even brought the atmosphere at Molly's down. Kidd gets them together and tells them to make amends. After their wild chase, Froster tells Brett about how she's been feeling looking at photos of her classmates making it as doctors and somewhat. Now the wild chase to catch a robber was probably the highlight of the episode as it was like Fast and Furious meets Chicago Fire. I'm pretty sure the Ambulance 61 could have taken down that truck by themselves. "Hold Our Ground" was a very fun, dramatic and exciting episode. The Mouch story was so good and funny but ending on a heartwarming moment. The Gallo was fun and Brett and Froster were good too. Good writing and character development. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.
"Where We End Up"
The tension between Firehouse 51 and Firehouse 20 builds even further. With the issue of overlapping districts for the Firehouse 51 and 20 continue during a car accident that put even more tension between the firehouse. Things took a real turn for the worst as everyone at Firehouse 51 had to leave on the behalf of bedbugs. Throughout the episode, while quite fun (mainly with Gallo, Brett, Kidd, and Froster); most was quite seriously with Casey and the Captain at 20. But that all were subsided after a fire rescue at dry cleaners where Casey and Gallo helped save a life and Firehouse 20's Captain and in return got major respect. Boden had to be at a meeting where he spots an old friend, who happens to be the speaker of the meeting. The discussion was about firefighters having to battle with cancer because of the ashes and etc can cause down the road. In the spirit of Chicago Fire, Gallo, who's running in the marathon; runs with full firefighter gear in support of fighting cancer for firefighters. "Where We End Up" was a moving and intense episode. While the tension over Firehouse 51 and Firehouse 20 was pretty good; while the Brett, Kidd, and Froster worried about what their chief would do to them was hilarious. The main thing from this episode was about how firefighters are diagnosed with cancer; not being aware of cleaning their equipment properly and that there needs to be an awareness. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10. You can catch Chicago Fire Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC.

#SWAT. Season 3 Episode 5&6 Breakdown
Welcome SWAT Fans To the second post of 2020 for this show, I have combined episodes 5 & 6 as two episodes, but the episodes are individually breakdown. So let’s jump into this review and breakdown.
#SWAT Season 3 Episode 5 - The LBC
This week’s episode opens again with a solid opening sequence, for the S.W.A.T. This week’s mission details are the following, An weapons truck carrying weapons to be disposed of due to the nature of the crimes that were committed with weapons. And it becomes the case of the week. The details are the following An Jamaican gang high jacks a truck of weapons designated to become trash until the become selling to the gangs in long beach. As Luca’s Food truck plan starts to gain the action that is needed and Hondo’s Dad gets a diagnosis
Relationship Central for SWAT
1. Hondo and His Dad
a) This relationship has been shown some degree, through the conversations at the start and the end of the episode. I believe Hondo was to have a relationship with his dad, despite his mistakes that he has made of the past. And he wants his dad to fight to another day to make sure that he can have the relationship.
2. The team dynamics about the Food Truck
a) Throughout the episode, we are seeing how this truck can be a good thing, with the team finding ways to help get the business started and making sure that they are on board with the idea
3. Hondo and Lt. Lynch
a) As this relationship was only shown in some degree, I believe that Hondo has not made up his mind about her and is skeptical of her decisions and stories that she has told. But she can see how it has affected her and former relationships with others.
4. Street and His Foster Brother
a) This relationship is a very small part of the story development of the street’s background story. As we have got under snippets with his mum in prison or been a jerk to others in the team or around him. I hope this relationship becomes a good relationship and it does not ruin the other relationships that he has recently rebuilt and developed further.
Overall Thoughts and Moments in the Episode
With this relationship that is explored, it shows the development of the TV show. I hope to believe that they are explored more in-depth and detail in further episodes. With that, I have the best moments of the episode are the following below
1. The conversation with Hondo’s Dad and Hondo
2. The scene in which after the diagnose is handed down to the family. Hondo gets called into work and Darryl has the keys
3. Street and his foster brother
4. The scene with Luca and Hondo about Business Leadership. I can relate to that because I know the content from my studies at university
And some of the worst moments of the episode are ones as the following below
1. Lt. Lynch and her overall attitude at the moment. I still do not trust her and her motives
2. The fight scene of Hondo’s, It was a cringe moment
But the episode pulled through and progress the story along in the overall show arc. After some cringe moments and solid moments. I can give the episode a rating of 7/10.
#SWAT - Season 3 Episode 6 - Kingdom
This week’s episode had some more drama and extra look at the lives of the police officers of LA Metro, The case of the week is the following that the team has to search for a human rights activists who has been kidnapped with the case of the week, as the episode is progressing. Harrelson has a tense family reunion from Hondo’s older sister to see her sick father in the hospital. With that, I am going to explore the relationships that happened in this week’s episode are the following below
1. Hondo and His Family
a) These relationships within the family are at high tension, because of the sick father and they are wanting to connect with their father and start to repair the relationships that had in the past. But Hondo’s sister is on the fence still because of the past history.
b) Hondo’s Sister and Hondo relationship was shown in a small degree as the relationship has not been shown on the show before and as the show progresses I hope to see more of the relationship
2. Luca and The Team Dynamics
a) These relationships within the team are ever-changing due to the change and the investment in the team. Luca wants to help others and serve the food to his fellow officers.
3. Street and Commander’s Hicks Daughter
a) This relationship was shown to a small degree as Street has become more mature and wanting to keep the relationship/friendship going at the same pace and but he wants to take things slow and steady, but I believe that Molly wants to have a decent and solid relationship with Street. But I believe that street is thinking of the repercussions that he is going to have on his job and relationship with his Boss
4. Luca and Street’s Friendship
a) As this friendship has been through some rough patches and he wants his friend to keep his job and not lose it over a petty thing like a relationship
Overall Thoughts and Moments in the Episode
This week’s episode was about the small amounts of drama and love within some of the relationships that are on the show, but I believe there are some of the best moments of the episode
1. Street and Molly Hicks Kissing in front of her apartment before the end of the night, and street wanting to take things slow and steady with the relationship
2. Hondo and His older Sister’s conversation at the start of the episode
3. Commander Hicks wanting Street to count the bullets in the armory
And there were some cringe moments of the episode and they are the following
1. The whole of the case of the week, The way the writers wrote the storyline and the execution of the story was a weak point of the episode. I believe stories like the case of the week should be told but I believe that they could have done better
Overall the show produced a solid episode for the show to move forward in the overall story for the show, there were some cringe moments and there were the magical ones and serious ones. I give the show’s episode a 7.5/10

#ChicagoFire S8, Ep. 1 "Sacred Grounds" Season Premiere #ChiHards #OneChicago #ChicagoWednesdays
The season premiere of Chicago Fire left Firehouse 51 in mourning of a loss of their own. SPOILER ALERT! Here's a recap!
The season premiere episode picks up seconds after the season finale; where Casey and company were in the basement; Herrmann, and Ritter trying to cool the furnace pipes before they blow up and Boden, Brett, and Foster trying to take victims out until the furnace explodes. Boden, Brett, and Foster were taken down with Brett suffering from a severely broken arm; Casey and Company seem to be okay until someone's alarm goes off and it turns out to be Otis.
As everyone brings out Otis, Cruz goes with him and sees the severe burns that he's had suffered. Back at Med, everyone was awaiting word about Otis until Boden confronts a nurse that gave the worst news of all, Otis died. But we see one of the most emotional moments so far, as Cruz tells Otis that it's okay to go that he hopes he would save a spot for him too until Otis opens his eyes and speaks in Russian and quickly dies.
We jump three months later, the firehouse is still in mourning of the loss of Otis. Cruz is trying to find meaning and even trying to figure out what Otis said to him. Casey is under review for the decision making that got him worried; but Boden took the blame from him as it was his decision to bring Brett and Foster in the warehouse, but it still not going to take the pain of losing a firefighter away.
Brett is now in Floweton; she's just got her cast off on her arm and gets the job as a full-time EMT at the local fire station. But there's an issue, being in a small town she knows someone from her past that is married to one of the firefighters. The Chaplain offers her a solution of not working but work as the Chaplain's wife, who does work. I'm not seeing this last too long as she's gonna miss Chicago.
With Brett gone, Foster gets a floater who's like Mr. Rogers meets Clark Kent. Mouch sees the guy's photo in a magazine.
Near the end of the episode, Boden gets everyone from the firehouse outside where he has an honorary memorial for Otis. He even translated what Otis said to Cruz just before he died. Soon as Cruz kneels in front of the statue, everyone from Casey and Severide then on to do the same while holding each other's backs.
"Sacred Ground" was definitely an episode that marks another shift change in the series. Not since Season three premiere been this powerful and knowing that the outcome will be even painful. The writing was so damn good and even the character developments between Cruz and even Casey were just so good. I still got my hopes that Brett will call off the engagement and move back to Chicago; maybe ask Casey out on a date, but I know that's way too much to ask for.  Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.

#ChicagoPD S7, Ep. 2-3 "Assets"/"Familia" #ChiHards #OneChicago
Assets"
When an undercover job goes bad, will the Intelligence Unit suffer? Here's a recap! When the Intelligence Unit goes undercover to take down the Robin Hood of drug dealers; Atwater tries to play the game to get to meet Darius Walker. After a couple of bumpy roads, he finally meets but when Halstead and Upton get a call of a shooting, which leads to a couple of members of Walkers dead. When they look into the cameras that captured a car leaving the scene. The next day as Atwater was awaiting Walker, the car shows up and when he sees who it see it just so happens to be the bartender at Walker's bar. So Atwater and Halstead make a deal with her and her partner but what Intelligence Unit doesn't know was that they were undercover cops too. And so the two groups work together, Atwater meets Vanessa Rajos, who's a rookie cop on the team. Vanessa agrees to place a wire in Walker's office, even if she did get caught by Walker. The team learns there's gonna be a drop-off but in two different spots, one is for a college student delivering baked goods to people that can't afford them. The other was where the drug drop off was taking place and they took down Walker and his associates. But what Atwater and the Intelligence Unit finds out that Walker isn't really what they all thought he was as he explains that he might be Robin Hood but it's the other way around. He takes from the weak and gives it to the strongest as it goes to those that can do good in the future and Walker gets a deal with the CPD to keep what he's doing. Also, Ruzek is having the hardest time adjusting to life not being a cop. He even tries to help take down someone that was selling a product. Both Trudy and Voight are worried and he tries to work things with the ASA. There was a plea deal but Ruzek turned it down, but Voight got one even better for him, asked the acting intern chief and got Ruzek his badge and gun back. "Assets" was a good episode with a fine story and good character development. Michael Beach as Walker gave a very solid performance. Ruzek really had a nice solid story and a good character development to see how he suffers from waiting to know what will happen to him next. Overall, I give this episode an 8/10.
"Familia"
On Rojas' first day in the Intelligence Unit don't go so well, could she prove the team wrong and stay? Here's a recap! It's Rojas' first day in the Intelligence Unit and after a first day run with Trudy; Rojas and Atwater spot someone screaming for help. As they chase, Rojas gets close to the suspects but with one driving off she chases the other on foot but by the time she catches him, he dies with wounds. Voight isn't too pleased and they look into what turns out to be a drug smuggling. As they interview the victim Ruby; she doesn't give a whole lot but when they go see her again they found the dead outside of her apartment. Her roommate Karla apparently works alongside with Ruby at a restaurant owned by Alexa Rivera, who uses her girls to smuggle drugs with drug dealers. But when Karla learns that Alexa had Ruby killed; she helps the Intelligence Unit to get the confessing but instead it turns into a standoff that ended with Karla stabbing Alexa, killing her. After that Voight sees how Rojas does and after getting a report from Upton, who was partnered with her, she gives him the okay. Upton talks with Rojas that she has to work together with this unit as a family. But also tells her that she got the job and apparently a new roommate. "Familia" was a very good episode from start to finish. Lisseth Chavez was very good as Vanessa Rojas in this first full episode. Also, Lisa Vidal as Alexa Rivera was amazing too. Good story and character development. I very much enjoyed this episode. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10. You can catch Chicago PD in an epic three-hour #OneChicagoCrossover event on Wednesday, Oct. 16th at 8/7c on NBC.
