THE POLO COAT

This timeless look revolves around a clas­sic piece in menswear, the navy blue polo coat, or as Luigi Bianchi likes to call it the dream coat. Cut from a heavy and warm wool-​cashmere blend woven in Italy by Loro Piana. The clas­sic polo coat has sev­eral sar­to­r­ial de­tails such as a 6×2 but­ton stance, turn­back cuffs and in the back an in­verted box-​pleat along with a Mar­tin­gale waist­band. To­gether it cre­ates a coat that can be worn for­mal with a suit but also more ca­sual with jeans and a sweat­shirt, as seen here.

The grey sweater comes from Sun­spel, made of a soft cot­ton loop­back, and the jeans are from COF Studio, made of 13oz selvedge cot­ton.

To com­plete the look, Hen­rik is wear­ing a ribbed cash­mere beanie from William Lockie in light grey and a pair of hi-​top boots from Sanders, in a polo brown suede leather.

Hello Lovelies, 

I recently made a huge make-up haul from online to in store buys and I am going to show you swatches as I have not tested them out in my everyday use yet. I have make-up from Black Opal to DarkCircle Eye Cream and Collegen Serum. I also have make up from Flower Beauty (sold at WalMart) and Collab (exclusive to Sally’s). I have to say that these two brands are among my favorites to use for lip liners and lipsticks outside of Younique.

I am going to first show you the lippie haul that I have made

These swatches are of the @Flowerbeauty an @collabmakeup the colors are  #SorryNotSorry #Violet #Plum #Toffee #Nude and from @blackopal I got #FrenchRoast. I also bought from @Flowerbeauty two mix and match matte lipsticks/gloss in #honeynude and #bronzeenvy. Each of these lippies are luxurious, glide on smoothly, blend beautifully and most important last all day! Also on a side note (not pictured) I have the new @BurtsBees #Vanilla and #GingerLime chap sticks. Both of these chap sticks smell delicious and are all natural and make my lips feel beautiful and smooth.

As a woman we “worry” about aging gracefully and not getting wrinkles and fine lines on our face and if your like me you want soft smooth skins and hands. Frankly, I am not really “worried” about the aging process because I have my grandmother and mother to look at as a mirrors to the future. I went into @Sallysbeauty store in my local area and I bought #CollegenSerum and #DarkCircle Eye Cream and a #facialbrush

  I bought the facial brush to help with removing dead skin cells off my face when I wash it. It works great with scrubs, facial washes and @Ambi soaps. After you wash the facial scrubs or soap off your face it feels so smooth and looks so youthful. Once my face is dry I put a few drops of collegen on my face and rub it in all over and once that seeps into my skin I rub the @DarkCircle Eye Cream in a circular motion around my eyes. Even though I have only been using this eye cream for a full day (Bought yesterday) it seems as if the darkness is going away under my eyes.

I recently joined the online @Ipsy craze and this time I got a make up bag that I can actually color and decorate myself. It came with two markers to color the bag with, but I can also use my own markers on it as well. Inside the bag was eye shadow, body lotion and clear facial mask.  The markers work well in coloring the bag and making the faceless ladies pretty.  The #Eyetini by @Tinibeauty in #FireStarter is bronze in color and very emollient, pigmented. I can’t wait to makeup an eye look to use it. The lotion by @AndalueNaturals #1000roses is soothing and smooth. It’s Vegan, Glutton Free, Animal Cruelty Free, and Non GMO, Nature Derived and is made by #FruitStemCellScience. When I used it is very satiny and I almost hate to use because I feel like it’s waste just put it on my hands. However, I love to smell my hands after it’s used. I have not used the #ClearClarifyMask by @GoldFaddenMD is supposed to draw out impurities and leave you with soft glowing skin. I plan to use this tonight before I go to bed.

These are my looks for last week 3/12 to 3-16-18 As you can see this week I used more pinkish colors for my eye looks. It is softer look and since Spring is right around the corner it is a look that I am falling in love with. Pink has never been a color that I would run too to wear on my face or in clothes, but I am trying to break away from the bold dark colors that I normally wear. Just because Black is my favorite color doesn’t mean that I have to wear it non-stop..does it?  Of course not LOL!

SCANDINAVIAN COLOUR PALETTE 

Scandinavian design is a minimalist and functional approach to design that originated in the Nordic countries in the mid-20th century. It emphasizes simplicity, clean lines, and the use of indigenous materials in order to emphasize the natural elegance of nature. Scandinavian design is known for its understated refinement, attention to detail, and use of light and space.

In this week’s look, we have taken inspiration from Scandinavian design in the choice of matching colours, where the natural balance and tonal transitions play a major role, with the aim to create an understated elegance. More concretely, the natural sand beige blazer from Studio 73 made of a mix of linen, cotton and silk, is matched with a pair of solid white pleated trousers from Boglioli, made of cotton. Together with elements of mint in the sweater from Gran Sasso and transparent silver tones in the glasses from TBD, the look blends together and creates a natural, sober elegance.
