Gotham Knights Talon Park my beloved! (I’ve been obsessed with this idea ever since you mentioned it)

Aaaaaah the Talons~ precious murder beans. What have I already said about this or not...

I'm going with that while some of the 'special' Talons were volunteers, a great number of them were people the Court used and then killed or captured and killed and turned. So perhaps they hired a painter to make the newest portrait for the hall... well they couldn't have them simply around after that could they? They knew too much. Luckily they had a another use for them...

But sometimes these Talon's weren't so mindless. There was a spark of who they used to be there. When they're around Danny and his aura more and more of that spark comes back. The painter wants to paint again. The gardener, killed in a fit of rage for using the wrong type of flowers, wants to tend to plants. Little things that Danny notices. It's not always perfect, but he tries to find what each Talon likes to do best and gives them purpose again in the park.

He lets them live again.

And if some Talons still enjoy hunting... well, it keeps the creeps out of the park and makes it a safe place to be again.

i think i vaguely remember you mentioning that you had ideas about continuing the death defying ficlet rocky road right? are you still excited by the idea, and what shenanigans do you have planned if you do continue?

A death defying fic has been something I've wanted to write for ages. I think that ficlet has a really nice chance of been something short and cute to make/let me finally write one! (I also love the fuck buddies masked one for the Titans feels and some day want to do a Talon!Dick fic.)

For that one... obviously Danny has the Bats in chaos, but if it was big enough to call Dick in on date night, something big is going down so they have to shove it all aside to deal with later.

Dick insists on going back to Danny that night which some Bats don't want because what if he's a threat? For there... honestly I don't know!

Could take it where the Bats are all hand son deck to try to find out more about Danny. Like they ran a basic background check but now need to do a better one. Or try to stalk him, but Danny always knows they're there. So he walks right over to Tim to give him a coffee, or drag Cass to a meal, or give Jason a book he borrowed. Danny is completely nonchalant about this all.

The Bats are just !!! but Dick won't let them schedule the Big Dinner while Danny is studying for midterms. And maybe being Dick he's using that as an excuse not to ask too many questions himself and keep avoiding the change it will all bring.

Meanwhile Danny just does increasingly ghostly things trying to get Dick to just ask him already.

Thank you! I just... I don't want to put out a chapter that's bad this close to the end? And I'm struggling with this one since it's not in my normal style or tense or... anything. And I'm a recovering perfectionist (emphasis on recovering) so it's hard. Combine that with not wanting to disappoint people...

bury the years and hollowing bones were the two i wavered between voting for. i adore those two fics so much, the concepts and parts so far are just… mwah, chefs kiss. i will admit i didn’t bother voting city pigeons bleed green, as much as i love it, since i knew it would probs win lol

Yeah LOL I could have not included it since it is going to be finished (maybe soon? Not sure how long it will go exactly).

Hollowing Bones and Bury the Years both have a lot of the same vibes I think! If either of those get to be the next big dead on main I think I might write the tired dads Bruce/John fic. It would be a nice fun balance.
