ok so … i got tagged in the simself challenge but since i dress pretty monotonously all the time, i felt like it would be boring (minimal goth lmaoo)

BUUUT then cody made this challenge, so here are 4 outfits that i would wear if i could afford to buy them but i’m a broke student

Before I even start, I just wanna say I am not shaming anyone who does wear these styles at all! If I don’t feel comfortable wearing something it has nothing to do with anyone else whatsoever! I’m just personally uncomfortable with the way I feel I might be perceived while wearing certain things. That is my problem and no one else’s.

Not tagging anyone, but everyone is welcome to try it out. I had a lot of fun doing it!

Oufit 1: 

1. pigtails/buns : As a girl who loves all things cute, it made me sad when I started feeling like I was getting a bit too old for pigtails, but I recently turned 30 so my pigtail days feel like they’re behind me. Also, it doesn’t help that even when I don’t wear them people don’t really tend to see me as an adult...Damn my baby face!

2. mismatched eye makeup: I see this trend all over the place and I think it is SOOO COOL but I cannot get myself to do my makeup two different colors and walk outside the house! Idk what it is.

3. big earrings: I love big earrings SO much! They just kill my ears! I’m allergic to all sorts of metals so that doesn’t really help either.

4. halter top: It feels weird to have a big portion of just my back exposed and idk I feel weird about it lol. Plus not a fan of how my arms look completely unsheathed. 

Outfit 2:

1. green lipstick: I love love love a bold lip color and I have quite a few (one of my favorites, being very similar to the green color that my sim self is wearing in outfit 2) but I’ve never been brave enough to wear one out on a normal day. *sigh* again idk why.

2. witch hat: In case you are not aware, I AM OBSESSED with Harry Potter!! So any time I have a chance to rep HP nash I’m freaking down. I’ve wanted to buy like an every day witch hat to wear around but I’m afraid the Bibley types might think I’m a real witch and idk burn me or something...idk it’s the south 🤠 ...probably won’t happen...probably🤔

3. shirt dress: Shirt dresses are cool and all but I don’t like how they make my curves look...my sim self looks a lot better in them than the real me does.

4. ripped fishnets: I was always taught that whenever something has a hole in it, you need to throw it out or people will think you look sloppy (even though I don’t believe that’s true at all). The remnants of this has stuck around with me until today, despite the fact that I love how this looks on other people and sims.

Outfit 3:

1. nose ring: I think septum piercings are so cute on most people, but I’m allergic to most metals and I’m worried how that would effect me if I got one. Also I can’t really get one and do the job I’m working towards so that’s a bummer, but oh well.

2. crop top: Crop tops can look amazing on a lot of people I just don’t feel like they look great on me. Looks a lot better on my sim self for some reason though...

3. ripped jeans: See ripped fishnets in Outfit 2.

4. flannel shirt: (particularly tied around the waist) I love the style of tying a flannel or whatever around the waist but I look awful in flannel button ups. So I’m not gonna buy one just to tie it around my waist! lol That would be so ridiculous!
