Fascinated by people just getting into WTNV and asking if there is a list of episodes to listen to, omitting the "unimportant" stuff I assume.
Chill, you all. Night Vale has been ongoing for around 11 years and it's yet to show any sign that it intends to end any time soon, so you can take your time. Even if it ended soon, there is time.
Enjoy the episodes as they are. Chew on them.
WTNV does this very special thing of making the town feel alive, not every citizen gets an arc or even a spotlight, but they're constant, they're there, living their lives. Those little details, little mentions of everyone growing and continuing living as time pass make it feel so nice.
And then, one day, Night Vale surprises you, and, oh, hey, remember that one intern whose death wasn't confirmed? Well, he has come back, and if you remember him and remember what happened to him at the time, you'll be able to connect the dots of the current arc faster.
The MOST unexpected things come back. The town is alive.
Just enjoy the ride! Enjoy Cecil's voice. Enjoy listening about this friendly desert community where the sun is hot, the moon is beautiful, and mysterious lights pass overhead while we all pretend to sleep.

I saw Welcome to Night Vale in London a few weeks back and I wish I could remember the exact quote, but the line it ended on has stuck with me.
“We are all of us, vast haunted houses”
Cecil spoke about how we are haunted. By regret. By loss. By love. By hope. We are all vast haunted houses and that is what life is. Some of it is scary, but none of it can be ignored.

I went to the Haunting of Night Vale show last night and it was amazing!!
Fantastic performance, amazing energy, hilarious comedy, thrilling story!
And their outfits were amazing! (Excuse the grainy pics, I wanted to focus on the show since it was so good!)

Just listened to The Haunting of Night Vale excerpt and it’s fucking hilarious, I love Sam, but it’s even funnier when you think about the theory that Sam and Jackie are dating, imagine you stub your toe and your partner breaks down the door, gun in their hand, a dozen policepeople behind them and they’re like “Are you ok????” like yes, I am, it’s very sweet to know that you care about me but also what the fuck

Man wtnv really did trans my gender cause like. Cecil was my first cosplay I REALLY got into, both in costume and character interaction. I made gifs (if you remember the chocolate syrup, congratulations you get a senior discount), I completely embodied that fuckin radio boy.
And then I realized that looking at myself as this cute ass guy was correct and good. Boom 10 years later, here we are. Thanks night vale!

I absolutely love welcome to night vale with all my heart but because I never binged all of it when I first started listening to it and I don't listen super consistently I become more and more scared that I'm never gonna catch up with it with every passing day. Like it's not like I haven't listened a bunch, I'm on episode 187, but because it releases so consistently I don't feel like I have a window of time to catch up so I basically never end up listening to more than one or two episodes at a time.
