Hi i'm the well meaning anon and yes, i saw you were upset and i like to try and help so :> Hmm What sort of things do you think Bruno gets up to after the events of the movie? Hobbies he picks up, things he gets into and the life he leads as i hope he and his family continue healing. What sort of bonds do you think he forms with each of his nieces/nephews perhaps? I think he'd be a good dad because he cares very deeply about his family and works very hard for them.

i think he gets some goshdamn sunlight and his family gently encourage him to socialize more. espech cuz the town aren't being fuckheads anymore and like bruno now (and thus eventually meeting my oc gabriella and having an awkward but cute connection)

hobbies, he continues his rat plays (they're good clean rats, no harm done) but like, way better with a proper little stage and mira makes costumes and camilo becomes a co-writer/performer for it. i think bruno and camilo would get a long really really well, they both got theatre kid energy. also i dunno exactly what to with bruno and luisa and isabela but the thought of them interacting is cute as heck

im just thinking,, the fact that bruno gave up 10 years of his life for his little sobrina shows he has such love for his family and he'd do anything for his nieces and nephews, even to the point of irrational behaviour. and that's very beautiful. thus, if that level of adoration and loyalty applies to mirabel, it surely does to isa, dolores, luisa, camilo and antonio too. mira's his favourite tho ssshhh

so i imagine different pathways for bruno. sometimes he stays single, sometimes he finds a partner, a man or a woman, and what those options entail. sometimes he gets three daughters, i like the idea of him having all girls, if he has kids

in a version of events where bruno like, never gets married and has kids of his own and that's okay, i think like, any paternal desires he has are fulfilled by the close bond he has with his nieces and nephews. with his family, he'll never be without love to give or love to receive. he never has to be lonely again ;_;

more on hobbies, it seems his heart lies with creative endeavours. acting, storytelling, doing voices, drawing. oh, a man after my own heart [swoons]. ahem. he's a rather good artist. i think he could create children's books. cute slightly odd little stories, like uhhh a crocodile gets hungry and eats the moon so now it's dark at night and everybody is sad so the croc has to replace the moon and something something the whole community comes together with shiny things and puts them together to create a new moon

oh and artistic endeavours is something bruno and mirabel can bond over, what with her amazing embroidery skills. ooh and isabella is pretty much an artist now, like a plant artist so thats something

antonio can translate bruno's rats for him, thats very neat

oh oh i wanna talk about bruno and his brothers-in-laws real quick. i think growing up pepa and julieta were bruno's only friends, so like when they got husbands, felix and agustin became the only guy friends bruno has ever had. and from the brief interactions we see at the end there, these two really love bruno too and that just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. it's not just blood madrigals that wuv bruno, the married into the family ones wuv him too. huh! expanding on that, i'm gonna imagine bruno and mariano get along. i mean, bruno is kinda awkward with everybody but mariano is a nice dude who likes everybody apparently so. aww. love for everybody

this movie gives me a lot of "uwuwuwu everybody is fulla love and is gonna be happy and sweet and lovely" vibes for a movie that's about generational trauma and makes me cry as much as it does. thats the power of disney, babey, they have adorableness PERFECTED

oh uh in short the kinda life he leads? happy. content. loved.

i don't think everything will be perfecta always, these people are human (well, disney human, but still) but things are gonna be so much better.... well especially since bruno's previous life was living in the fucking walls longing to be with his family. now he gets his seat back at the table. he gets to hug his sisters. gosh that is such a simple sentence but it makes me cry. in a good way. OH that reminds me i ADORE how happy bruno is when he sees the vision of mirabel hugging isabela. like his reaction being all like "the solution is to hug your sister! that's great!" the fact that he has sisters and would obviously love to hug them again so much makes that moment so damn sweet to me. plus the whole "yay family love is the solution :D" aspect. bruno loves his family so damn much it makes my heart glow

which makes bruno a really great comfort character. sad broken pleading eyes emoji man who is motivated by love. also he's funny
