This sketch is about a year old, and yet I still want to show it.
Under the banner is a text flight of fantasy regarding the sketch.
“Bird Person guessed about the existence of a portal gun, because no matter how much Rick hides the fact of the existence of a portal gun, Bird Person is very insightful. So insightful that he does not ask anything about Rick's device, because he knew that Rick would either answer evasively (regardless of in what style he will do this), or will depict vigorous activity, pointedly ignoring the question. Bird Person guessed that one day he would learn about the device on the initiative of its creator. For Rick, this device is more than just a tool. It is almost an extension of his hand. So that there is no point in talking about it again and rushing things.
Obviously, when travelling, as a symbolism and just adventure, Bird Person and Rick do not use the portal gun (only until the first one sees it). They probably use a variety of existing vehicles moving around the Universe, but sometimes only a single path leads to a single goal. The journey on an intergalactic train.
Outside the window of the intergalactic reserved seat, the stars are shining. Young travellers order the only thing that was available in the train's unforgivably modest assortment — something that resembles boiling water with grass. People seem to call it “tea”, but who knows what it really is in this crazy world? In the end, this “tea” is simply symbolic, as a seed for a conversation… Which does not happen. Bird Person is silent, and Rick doesn't say anything either. Complete silence.
Bird Person examines Rick: tired, puffy eyes; seemingly slightly unkempt hair and beard; brown coat with dirty cuffs and hem. Rick's gaze is completely focused on his creation. To be honest, in the moments when Rick is so immersed in the present that there is no room left in his head for unnecessary thoughts and experiences, he is beautiful in his own way. No matter how sloppy he looks, he has a certain grace.
The moments when both parties can remain silent without a second thought, the most intimate and passionate, are at the same time so long and so fleeting.”
