I keep coming back to this video even tho I have no experience whittling because I see this thumbnail and I imagine Mountain-of-a-Man Muriel hunched over The World’s Oldest Laptop with a bitty piece of wood and a dull knife taking such care to watch each step to the end, then rewinding the video so he can follow along, pausing frequently to make sure each cut has his full attention, working for hours and hours to produce one whittled fox because Asra’s birthday is coming up and he wants to give him something really nice this year, something special, and you know he’s his own worst critic so he presents the finished product to Asra like he’s apologizing for the quality, and Asra turns the little fox over and over again in his hands, running his fingers along the grain of the wood in wonder while Muriel watches on, growing more nervous by the second, wholeheartedly expecting rejection for his shoddy craftsmanship until Asra throws his arms around him and gives him a huge hug and thanks him endlessly for “the most beautiful gift anyone’s ever given [him].”

For me, I've finished every route but Lucio's and I got upright for everyone but Julian, and I think I like it that way, I found Julians reversed to be tragically sweet

Which endings did you prefer?

I love looking back and knowing that I had perceived the truth

Muriel's Glass Sex Toys

It started off a simple clear dildo for himself

Glass was trendy in Vesuvia right now

But he was *not* going to that kinda market

So he made one

He read a book on glass blowing

Learned the proper thickness

And he just did it

Only Asra knew at first

But time went on and it went from dildos to butt plugs to occasional glass works of art (he preferred wood for that)

He eventually had more than he necessarily needed

And Asra asked for one

And then Asra told a friend who asked for one and it became a whole thing

Muriel would make glass bongs, the occasional pendulum, sex toys, and art and Asra sold them under "Anonymous Supplier"

No one expected Muriel

When MC found out it was actually because Portia and the Apprentice found Nadias collection and MC asked Asra about it curiously

If it was from the shop

Well it was and Asra couldn't help but to spill

It was Muriel making them

MC was shocked and aroused and confused

Muriel never made them in front of MC but he would sometimes ask their opinion on certain styles

Warning(s): A bit spoiler for Lucio's route? and perhaps a bit OOC on Muriel since I haven't finished his; but I hope it's okay!

Count Lucio

If you haven't realized this yet; Lucio loves to give out compliments.

In fact, it seems like a system between you two to give out compliments to each other no matter how small it seems.

After the whole 'Redemption arc' he had against the Devil, sometimes, despite the act of enjoying your shower of compliments, deep in his heart he wonders whether he's worthy of any, if not at all.

You, giving him compliments so that he can get over his post-self hatred, and him, giving compliments to you so that you can finally accept and think that you're worth the compliment by saying "Thank you" Instead of hiding away or averting the compliment.

"Nice save, darling!"

"Oh you're so amazing angel, I don't know what I'd do without you."

"Have I told you that you look beautiful today? I have? Well, I'll say it again anyway,"

Though personally speaking, he loves to see you flustered.

Sometimes it squeezes the little part in his heart when he remembers that the smallest "Good job" can sometimes turn you into a mess.

He often gets praised by himself and others. almost every day.

This man's ego is sometimes bigger than his forehead, it only makes sense that only a compliment will leave his lips, especially when it comes down to you, to him, and to his two beautiful babies.

So to see you, the most beautiful and talented human being, who shy away from compliments? His compliments?

There may be many reasons for that but perhaps he'll find out once you're comfortable enough to share.

Though, all and all, he will definitely use it to tease you and enjoy every response you give to him.

Muriel

Muriel is quite timid himself.

In the first place, he was often seen as a 'beast' due to his large body; even when he was young.

So perhaps the distribution of compliments between the two of you might go off as a bit awkward at first.

He's appreciative, you were the one who complimented him first and sees him as something that other people often don't.

So after receiving your perhaps timid, generous, and loving compliment for moments after moments, it's only clear that he wanted to return the favor.

Perhaps it was when you were just calmly chilling with Innana, the wolf that he had grown close to despite the two seemingly having a distant relationship with one another,

He just sees you being affectionate with the wolf, her basking in your affection instead of him, he does feel a hint of jealousy, but that doesn't prevent the words from slipping out of his mouth,

"... Beautiful."

Of course, he noticed you shy away, red face and flustered. While the compliment was a simple whisper, the words themselves have brought the heat up to your face.

He finds it adorable, and somewhat he feels a bit guilty for thinking so.

Would give out small compliments that will most likely about the simple things you do,

"Thank you for the meal, you cook deliciously."

"I.. Adore you, you shine a comforting aura, and I.. Like that."

And so on and so forth,

Might not be the best at the stuff, but he is definitely genuine. Always.

How do you think the main 6 would react to an MC who is capable of moving in very inhuman ways? Think weird, creepy staggering walk. Unnaturally flexible. When they inspect something their head moves very animal like & stare very intently at it, even other humans. Maybe they’re even able to growl like one of those huge bear hunting dogs. And they did none of this pre-resurrection.

Asra

Okay so he's a bit concerned

They knew that you did Not do this before, which is the part that they're concerned about

They know your resurrection had some side effects

As long as you're safe, theyre happy

Some of these traits are upsetting, particularly the zombie-esque ones, but ultimately they're willing to put that aside

He actually doesn't mind the flexibility (a magician AND contortionist? May be circus time!) and is totally endeared by your animal-like stares

Nadia

She loves you for you and will Not be dissuaded

However, she is a touch prim and you catch her off guard sometimes

Oddly enough your off-step tendancies remind her to loosen up

Her glare single handedly ensures any courtiers or others visiting her officially leave you alone

If she heard you growl she would be glancing about for a threat which may or may not make you feel like a guard dog

If your shamble causes you to step on your pant legs, NOT FOR LONG, you wake up one morning and every pair of pants you own has been delicately adjusted to prevent this

Julian

Mr. Psuedo Doctor Man has offered leeches once, you arent sure if he was joking

However he is the Most absolutely flustered.

You growled once and he just Dropped to his knees no hesitation not at all HELLO

He is super duper casual about it

He makes a lot of jokes, but if you aren't okay with it he'll definitely stop

Muriel

Listen there's a reason everyone thinks hes a werewolf

He doesnt blink at growling

Crazy flexible? Maybe non-human-giants can just do that

Staring? What about it

Listen his only point of reference is Asra for normalcy so. Yknow. Have patience

He would literally never point it out

In fact he's more familiar with animal-like body language so this is convenient for him

Portia

She's a bit unnerved at first, mostly before she meets you, just seeing you around the castle

Forgive her if she has a crazy story about Why, okay Julians her brother, she doesnt mean anything by it

After getting to know you she'd be So embarrassed to admit her lil theories

Ultimately, she just stops noticing, shes incredibly adaptable and this is no exception

Eventually she gets on board with this as her new normal and she has just as many quips as Julian, but hers tend to be punnier I think

Out of everyone, she's the least nervous about bringing it up after you've indicated its alright to do so

Lucio

So, he probably made an unfortunate and/or offensive rabies joke. Sorry!

He makes it up to you in his own way later

He thinks the overall effect makes you "scarier" but not to him Obviously so therefore that makes you a double extra badass partner

He would absolutely lose his marbles if anyone dare insult you

But more disturbingly for his citizens, he has a habit of encouraging rumors

He's very enamored with how cool you are and also therefore how cool he looks

But underneath all that, typical Lucio stuff, he really cares and he wants you to be comfortable

If these habits Bother you he'd be really ruined to find out that he caused all this with the beetles and stuff

If they don't, well no harm no foul, he's very busy with an elaborate scheme to show off your flexibility anyways
