FLARE: The Flagler Review seeks to publish both up-and-coming and established writers. Accepting of both the traditional and experimental in the poetry, fiction, nonfiction, drama, and screenplay genres, we strive to showcase a variety of colorful, vibrant works from passionate writers. If it will throw us around the room, we want to see it. FLARE seeks works with power and thought — works that linger long after they are read. FLARE is published by students of Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. The publication is printed in the fall and published as an online edition in the spring. Please limit your longer works (fiction, nonfiction, screenplays, and plays) to one submission; for poetry, limit your submission to five poems. For art, please include no more than five pieces. We do accept simultaneous submissions, but we do not accept previously published pieces.Flagler Review conducts blind reviews, so please remove author names from pages of submitted documents. FLARE receives a high volume of submissions. We try to respond to all submissions within 6 months. FLARE has two deadlines for submissions: Fall issue - August 15Spring issue - January 15 Payment is in the form of two copies of the issue in which the author is published.
Don't miss your chance to submit your creative work for the Spring edition of FLARE!
