anyways since I'm talking about Ted Lasso again because I refuse to let this show die, if I could change one big thing about the finale it would be this:

so Jamie injures his ankle in Mom City and it turns out, while it will be fine in the long run, he can't safely play the last match. oh no, Richmond's WHOLE STRATEGY relies on Jamie being the center. everyone's panicking, no one thinks they're going to win, all hope is lost

and then cue the return of the Wonder Kid. Nate comes back, and he comes back with his brilliant ideas, and it turns out it takes the team's new ability to play total football and be flexible with their positions AND Nate's tactical brain to win

mostly because Jamie had his big moment in Mom City and I do think it would be satisfying to see Jamie not play the final match, but be content with cheering his team on, AND it would make Nate's return feel more purposeful and intentional. Like yeah, they win because they use Nate's play, and the call back is nice, but it'd be so much more satisfying if they couldn't have won unless Nate was there to come up with a new idea

#oh yes #this would have been much better #one of my major issues with season three was how underutilized Nate ended up being #his arc and character was just so fascinating and heartbreaking #and I feel like they were going for a humble vibe with him coming back to Richmond as a kitman? #like he’s no long obsessed with being the head coach or getting all the glory #that he’s content with being part of the team #but it just didn’t land right #and I love Jamie. I love Jamie’s growth and his arc #but they really did focus heavily on his growth in the third season #at times to the detriment of other characters’ growth #it would have been nice for the last match to be Nate’s time to shine #Ted Lasso

This 144-Year-Old Wisteria In Japan Looks Like A Pink Sky

These stunning photographs, which look like a glorious late evening sky with dashes of pink and purple, are actually pictures of Japan’s largest wisteria (or wistaria, depending on whom you ask) plant.

This plant, located in Ashikaga Flower Park in Japan, is certainly not the largest in the world, but it still comes in at an impressive 1,990 square meters (or half an acre) and dates back to around 1870 (the largest, at about 4,000 square meters, is the wisteria vine in Sierra Madre, California). Although wisterias can look like trees, they’re actually vines. Because its vines have the potential to get very heavy, this plant’s entire structure is held up on steel supports, allowing visitors to walk below its canopy and bask in the pink and purple light cast by its beautiful hanging blossoms.
