Going through art block so I'm redesigning some of the skylanders I own (i know im old and the fandom is dead but i love these funky little dudes)

I may do more later lol

Imma be a bit busy this week but here's a sneak peek of my redesign of master Eon. (I personally dont like how his helmet looks but i had to add it cuz its crucial to his character lol)

Since I'm here I'd like to shed some light my skylands rewrite lore. I wanted to make a comprehensive chart but I got no time :')

So I'll just type it-

You see in this rewrite of skylands, there's a bit of a hierarchy. Its not necessarily social but as of power scale and influence. But it's nuanced as another hierarchy can be within a level (more on this later).

From highest to lowest-

Greater Will:

Sometimes known as Fate, An entity that is beyond comprehension or understanding. This greater will sets everything up for every life. It knows what has been, what is, and what will be. Every action and reaction is all apart of the greater will's plan. Very few are aware of its presence and for good reason. Those who are caught up in fate tend to hasten it. Neither good nor evil, its merely is a force of nature.

Light/Darkness:

The physical manifestations of good and evil, push-pull, destruction-creation, both play a crucial role in maintaining of skylands. For nothing can exist without one or the other. But both are ambitious and try to overthrow the other, forever fighting for control.

Gods:

These are the beings mortal look up to for answers. They represent the core natures of the world and maintain the to the best of their abilities. However, there is a strict law with the gods so that they can't personally interact with mortals all the time. Remember how I said there were hierarchies in some levels? Well the gods have their own small chain of command, the first born being the leader. Their word is law amongst their colleagues and only they get the final answer. They keep mortals' and gods' ambitious in check.

Elementals:

These are the personification of all the events in skylands. They are what keep the magic in the realm balanced and full. They are the original elemental magic users and ofyen seen as a muse for aspiring mages. They are inherently immortal and cannot be killed.. but they can be corrupted. If one is corrupted, is it the job of the gods to take the bad apple out of the bunch before it spreads. It is even rumored thst if a mortal is worthy, they may take the elemental's place.

Portal Masters:

With all these gods and elementals being so wrapped up in the bigger picture, no one often looks at the finer details. They often brush the smaller and insignificant away... but not portal masters. No one really knows what makes a mortal worthy of such an honor. But when they're worthy, the world will know.

However, unlike mages, portal masters draw their power from their portals. But not just any portal, each portal master has a personal portal they are connected to. That portal is what gives them their powers and the ability to teleport anywhere they wish.

Often mistaken for godly beings, portal masters are powerful mages that help protect the people of skylands. Their main goal is to tend to the people and guide them through their journey. They often form their own following of subordinates that help with protecting the people. They can teleport their allies to help or take them to safety. Some have even teleported whole islands in a single blip.

Another fun thing about these people pleasers is thst they represent all the elements in some way. Whether it be personality, quirks, or interests, they represent the people and will often times speak for their behave for the higher beings.

Portal:

Scattered across skylands, these portals are often seen as a gift from the gods themselves. But no one really knows how they're made, they merely appear and seek out their portal master. There is speculation to whether it's a living being or merely programming. Regardless, it is a force to be respected. It is fueled by the passed lives of other portal masters from before. Often times, inexperienced portal masters have been found to be possessed by the portal itself. (Call ot the avatar state but much scarier) This doesn't last long but the devastation left behind can be catastrophic. Which is why portal masters must be trained to prevent such accidents.

Giants:

Ancient beings that have been in skylands longer than most skylanders, giants have played a role in the formation of society. Their large size and infinite wisdom helped construct order and governance in cities, villages, and kingdoms. Due to their size, some have even BECOME a city. Their sheer strength provide structure, giving shelter and protection for the smaller beings around them.

Skylanders:

These are the civilians, warriors, rulers, or anyone who reside in skylands. They come in many shapes and sizes. Their lives differ for others, making each one unique in their own way. They come from different parts of skylands and embody the element their home land resides in.

They depend on the portal masters to help them when the gods are too busy to do so. Often, they follow portal masters to help keep their own people safe. But some perfer a more peaceful life.

Next up is Ghost Roaster!

He's just a goober and I love it.

Also felt bad for him due to his lore so him and Beauo are buddies now :]

Imma start to add my lore rewrite in these posts lol (dont worry! This isnt a totally new character rewrite but i wanted to expand on what the wiki put for him)

As for that rewrite, hes the same, ghost eating ghoul we all know and love. The only thing that will change is his bitterness towards the newer skylanders.

But this doesn't happen until he goes through his own little arc and realizes that it's not the newer skylanders fault for Eon's tendency to brush the older skylanders aside. Which is technically not Eon's fault either! Mire on this in the possible future.

So Ghost Roaster obviously didn't like the new portal master because he believed Beauo will neglect him. But unlike Eon, Beauo is younger and her eyes are more perceptive than the old wizard.

So she noticed the hurt that Ghost Roaster had and actually took the time to talk to him about it. She even baked him some cookies as a peace offering and since he has a soft spot for cooking, he couldn't refuse such a humble offering.

That's when Beauo and him began to have a friendship and he starts to feel a little less bitter towards the newer skylanders... however he still has that eldest sibling mentality that finds them annoying. but hed still do his best to guide them... also only HE can bully them. Anyone else who does it gets a face full of spikes.

Kinda reposting my art but I did add a bit more to Rattle Shake. Mainly some doodles of him and his pet snake.

Honestly Beauo is quite the charmer if she got someone like Rattle Shake out of his shell.

He's just so much fun to draw, ok!

Do you have more interesting facts about your chop chop and the arkeyans

Ooooo ok so Chop Chop has this whole arc I've planned for.

Basically, the Arkeyans were a race of warriors who's fighting style and tactics were known throughout history. They had a very strict hierarchy within their society and depending what what type of armor/material they were made of, determined their function. Think of functionalism.... chop chop was a very high ranking warrior/guard that protected a now long lost heir. One day he was sent on a mission to fight in the heir's name... and when he came back... he found the heir was missing. In fact he found all his people were missing. No trace was left behind. Only the hollow walls and broken homes greeted him. The stress of it all caused him to shut down into a still like comatose.

Years went by before he woke up...

His people were lost due to time. Atleast that's what Chop Chop thinks... but regardless, he is the only "living" relic of that past. He desperately wants to find his people but no matter where he goes, he's left with nothing. Which feeds into not only his fear but his temper. So as a way to distract himself, he fights. He fights giant monsters or in coliseums. Hoping to maybe one day be surprised to see another of his kind. Whoch is how he met Eon and was offered to join his cause. Which he did only because he thought that it'll help him get closer to where his people had went/uncover the mystery of why they suddenly went missing.

And throughout his time as a skylander, he's found bits and pieces but never solid evidence. Which led to him going back to being short tempered and single minded.

It's not until Beauo came around and offered to help him find his people or atleast find him closure that he began to heal.

Later on he does find his people.. or should I say, they find him. The reason they all suddenly disappeared?

Well, they didn't disappear. It was chop chop who disappeared. He unknowingly stepped into a time vortex and timetraveled. He ended up in the future and was offered to come back to his original time... despite Beauo telling him to go, he refused. With all the friends he had made, and all the memories he shared with them, he wanted to stay. The closure of seeing his people still around was enough for him to let go of the past and embrace the present.

(Also he didn't want to give up grilling with Ghost Roaster or teaching the academy students how to fight.)

And with that, he says goodbye to his people and returns back home, with his friends. :]

TREE REX

I've been working all night for this guy. He's so cool and he's GIANT!

(Now for the lore bit I promised!)

Many question how giants came to be. Some believe it's due to an overload of magic in one area... some also believe it's genetics... but one thing is for sure... giants never stop growing. Their sheer size and weight could easily topple any city with ease. But these are rare occasions, for giants are mostly peaceful. Very rarely does one have malicious intend and if one does, the damage is catastrophic.

But most giants perfer to be peaceful, gentle giants if you will. These massive beings are known for letting smaller, much weaker beings to live on or off them. Their sheer size allows for structure to be made and foundations to be set. Creating their own ecosystem and civilization.

Now, there's no real way a giant comes to be, it's happenstance. Anyone or anything could become a giant. The biggest tree to the smallest bee, the chances of becoming a giant is rare but not too uncommon. And once a giant is made/born, their presence is enough to settle any kind of dispute.

Now what happens when a giant dies? Does it continue to grow?

Well, when a giant dies, their body curls up and forms into a new, floating island. Bones become stone and the rest turns to dirt. But that's only if they were made of flesh and bone to begin with.

Those that aren't flesh and bone will have a different end. Their bodies with become pure energy and disburse peacefully throughout skylands. Returning the energy they've taken, back into the world in the giant circle of life.

Now, one of the oldest giants to date in none other the the King of Trees, Three Rex. His power and stature is told throughout skylands as one of the biggest giants to ever live. And to think he was just a humble tree at the beginning of his life. He even is older than Master Eon himself! Not by much but the giant still revels in the fact that his age is what gives him more wisdom than Eon could ever have. In a playful manner of course.

Tree Rex has served under Eon's command for centuries. When he finally retired, he went back to the forest island he originated from and lives a peaceful life of restoring the forest from the damages that poachers and loggers have inflicted.

His footsteps till the grounds as he walks and plants and animals are able to trive. Some locals even live in the mushrooms that grow in his body. In return for the protection, the people help with any potential attackers or maintenance thst needs to be done. A perfect symbiotic relationship.

Now for the lore!

Blast Zone joined the Swap Force right before Rattle Shake and Freezer Blade did. Giving him a bit more authority over some of the younger members of the Swap Force. Despite his discipline and cold demeanor, he is really kind. In fact, he's quite the chatterbox if given a chance. Especially about his Furnace Horse, Arthur. He'll loves to talk about his horse and horses in general. They have a special place in his heart. But the one thing he's truly known for is his fiery passion for protecting his friends. He sees the Swap Force and other skylanders as apart of his family. If one is in trouble, there isn't anything stopping this freight train from coming in and wrecking havoc. Once, he ate bombs to spite some bandits and then proceeded to spit out the flames to send them running. Saving not only the new recruits but also Eon at the time.

When Beauo become the new portal master, it didn't take long before Blast Zone easily grew attached to the young Portal Master. Often, he is seen checking every room in case there was a hidden bomb or assassin. Sometimes he may go a bit too far but he means well.

Afterall, he'd do this for anyone in his family, without even asking.

Blast Zone is one of many Furnace Knights who became a skylander. No one really knows how they come into existence but one thing is for certain, seeing one or many means something bad is about to happen. Whether it be a bomb that's about to go off or a war that's about to start, Furance Knights have a complicated history in skylands.

Furnace Knights used to be considered omens of pestilence, war, famine, and death. Often, many see them as evil and sinister. But in reality, they come when something bad is about to happen and try to prevent it... or if something bad has ALREADY happened, they come as damage control.

Back before the age of healing magic, disease and famine ran rampant in a lot of islands in skylands. Due to the lack of medical knowledge and poor hygiene, it was easy for a disease to hop from island to island. That is where the Furnace Knights come in. To prevent other islands from getting infected, they would cleanse the island of all life and transport the remaining healthy population to another island. If the disease was so virulent, they would have no choice but to do what had to be done to prevent others from getting sick. It was a hard job to do but it was necessary at the time.

But that's only scratching the surface of their past. When war was waged, the Furnace Knights were often approached to either fight against the enemy or to create weapons of mass destruction. Regardless of who asked, they would obliged with the right price. They're speciality were fire weapons and bombs. You could always tell if someone has got their hands on a Furnace Knight weapon when there's only a crater left on the battlefield.

But it wasn't all dark, they were also known to protect and fight for those who couldn't do so themselves. Often, they were even be seen giving their own life to protect someone thst is not of their kind. Despite all their dark deeds, they have always valued other lives above their own. Giving the term "Knight's Honor" meaning.

Several centuries later, their purpose would change. No longer would they be made to cleanse or to wage war. In the industrial era, they were able to use their forging skills to craft tools and supply business with fuel. Because of their influence, the first ever coal powered train was invented. Making it easier for transportation. Although, some knights didn't like the change and stuck with their original purpose of forging weapons. But they soon faded through time.

A Furnace Knight is composed of 2 things, fire and metal. But no ordinary metal, this metal is insulated. It keeps the fire within the armor to prevent it from going out. The fire is what makes the Knight, it is their life blood and one must tend to the fire or it will go out. Furnace Knights don't eat regular food or drink, they instead burn coal and wood to keep themselves going. But they can't eat too much for they might go into over burn. A state where the fire with seep through their armor and make it difficult for the knight to move. Which it why they stay away from anything flammable as much as possible. What's worse is thst they may even risk exploding if they're not careful.

As for any living creature, a Furnace Knight is not exempted from the laws of time. They are still subjects to the forces of nature and can rust or even get put out. Regardless of how old or young a Knight is, when their time has come, their flame will dissipated. Leaving only the armor behind, other Furnace Knights will gather the pieces and create a memorial in honor of the individual. Those who died from sacrifice will gain the highest honor of them all, to be buried in the Hall of Heroes. Where only the most heroic are buried. Some legends even say that this burial sight is the closest to the heavens. Giving the honored knight a place in the heavens above.
