A Little About Our Anarchists: 

You’ve heard that good is nothing without evil. After all, who would the heroes be if they didn’t have our Anarchists to go after? Pre-war Anarchists were misunderstood in a lot of ways. Yes, they liked to create chaos, but they were also activists. They were spokespersons for those who were told they weren’t good enough for the Renegades and therefore were expected to smother their powers. They were the revolution. The ones who fought against the oppression of those with powers. 

That being said, Anarchists often took their frustrations out on the regular citizens of Gatlon City. They wanted to make all those who had beaten them to the ground pay for what they had done. Make them pay for the way they behaved toward the Anarchists. Making them move underground and turn to crime in order to live. The Anarchists wanted to come out of the shadows and live in a world where everyone was free to use their powers how they liked and given the same respect the Renegades were given. At least the Anarchists were honest about how corrupt they were. 

Today, Anarchists still hold some of the same ideals, however, they’re not as evil as people might believe. The Renegades are still a target for them and they still enjoy causing chaos but they’ve gotten over their frustrations of the past. They’ve forgiven the powerless. Well, forgiven or were forced to moved on seeing as how no one is powerless anymore.

The Anarchists are no longer in the shadows but they’re also not treated any better than before the war. To be an Anarchist is to actively be hated even if you aren’t necessarily evil. So, what are they to do? How do you acclimate when everyone is so against you?

A Little About Our Renegades:

Renegades are seen as heroes. They fight crime and attempt to keep the city safe. However, after the most recent war, it’s difficult to say whether the Renegades were truly heroes or if they had begun to let the power get to their head. Many Renegades began to act with more violence than the villains they were supposed to be reprimanding. 

With a couple old superheroes from before the war leading the way, the Renegades are trying to change their ways. Their full mission is to help the city and help is what they are going to do even if not everyone supports them. 

There are still some who are wary of our Renegades. They fear that the power will get to their head once more - If not now, then in the future. So, many citizens have become reluctant to join the Renegades which is why you’ll have noticed that their numbers have decreased. 

The current Renegades seem to be going on more scouting missions than anything else, trying to gather the recruits they used to have rather than actually dealing with crime. 

Renegades used to showcase their powers in an arena in order to join the force but now, in order to keep things fair and make sure that no one feels as if their power is meaningless compared to anothers, they simply do a background check and an interview and decide from there if someone will join. Many in the force have criticized this practice, as an anarchist could easily sneak in amongst the ranks and tear apart their whole organization once more, but this is the only way to keep things fair for right now. 

Renegades go out in patrol groups. Each group is designated to a certain area of the city and given specific tasks. To get your patrol groups together, you must contact the main.

Do I need to know the books to be in this rp?

Nope! I actually like to think it’s a pretty simple plot and I’d never want to make an rp where people had to know everything about the world to be a part of it. I have some links to the books fandom pages if you’d like them! 

Otherwise, it’s just a really fun city where there’s people running around with powers. Some are heroes (Renegades), some are villains (Anarchists), and some have chosen to be neither (Regular Citizens)!!! That’s all you really need to know right now.

Can you guys really believe I went out and did this? After saying that leaving the rpc was great for me? Well, guess who’s the clown! This girl! So... welcome to Gatlon City. Once upon a time only a handful of people had powers. Those that did were once feared by the people until a band of the best heroes created what they liked to call the Renegades. A special task force full of super-powered beings who helped protect the city from the Anarchists. The Anarchists, a group of the worst villains around, wished to enact their revenge on the people of Gatlon City and live freely with the power they had. They wished never to play by the Renegades rules and often terrorized the city which left the Renegades and Anarchists to fight quite frequently. After two major wars fought between the Renegades and the Anarchists, however, an explosion has caused everyone left in Gatlon City to develop powers. No one is left powerless any longer. As the city learns to regroup after such a horrendous year of fighting, people are left wondering what they should become. Are they a hero? Are they a villain? Are they left wondering what comes next now that they suddenly have powers? The city is recovering slowly but surely yet everyone knows that good never comes without a little bit of evil waiting around the corner. Will the city become the spectacular dystopia it once was or is history doomed to repeat itself?
