02: The Time Passed like the Wind
A/N: a quick little thank you to everyone who liked and reblogged my last chapter! thank you for the support and love. now onto this chapter! (especially @negans-network @negan-morningstar thank you for reblogging!)
Mikaela settled in fast after that first night. She healed up quickly after her hit to the head but she never saw that Ben guy again. She kinda guessed that Negan killed him, but she didn’t care. He deserved it. She had been there for over six months now and she was raising in the man’s ranks. It was kinda strange. Negan had an array of wives that he banged every now and again but the man didn’t stop flirting with the woman. She became a solider but the offer was there from the man to become his wife, but she declined. She remembered exactly what he said; “Be my wife. Make me the happiest man alive, Mikaela.” The woman laughed and sighed, touching his chest. “Negan, my love. I would rather choke, than marry a man who has more than one wife. I’m sorry.”
Mikaela couldn’t marry again, especially not when he was married to more than one woman. It broke her that she wanted to be with him. God she wanted to be with him. But she had her principals and she knew what was right and wrong.
“Mikaela. We have a problem.” Laura ran into her room and looked at her. “Shit.” She grabbed her jacket and opened the door, running along with Laura. “What’s happened?” The sun was setting on another day. The sun suddenly was hidden behind the large, grey building. “Peter. He killed his daughters last night. Shot them in the head and when Isabella questioned him and begged him to bring her baby’s back, he beat her to a pulp.” Mikaela gritted her teeth and put her hands on her utility belt. “Fucking asshole. Where is he now?” She asked, walking around the corner to see the scene. Peter was on his knees surrounded by Saviours. His face was beaten already but it was nothing like what Mikaela was going to do to him.
“Mikaela! You wonderful woman! I’ll leave this to you.” Negan looked at her and smiled. She walked towards the man and punched him in the jaw and stomach, making him spit out some blood. “That’s my girl!” Negan laughed and looked at his fellow men. The men winced, all at the same time, as she kicked him in the balls. DJ put a hand on her shoulder to stop her but Negan shook his head. “No leave her.” Mikaela felt respected. Not only did Negan believe she could do it, but believed that she wouldn’t take it too far. They both believed that abusers shouldn’t get the time of day. And Isabella was her friend. “Is there something wrong with you? Those kids were fucking amazing kids! You killed them and hurt my friend. You hurt her. You should rot in hell and i will make sure you will.” Negan kissed her cheek and passed her his gun, whispering in her ear. “You can do this baby girl.” Micky leaned down to the man and shook her head. “No you don’t deserve a quick death. Fucking woman beater.” She spat at him. Micky shot his shoulder and stomach and stood up. “Put him on the fence.” She walked past Negan and dropped the gun, before heading into her bedroom. Simon watched her walk away and laughed. “I don’t think she’s interested Boss. But there are plenty of other women who are. Don’t hold you breath.” Negan could feel himself becoming more and more pissed off. “And did she tell you that? Nope. So how about you sort this fucker out before he turns and do your damn job.” Negan shouted before heading inside. He walked past her room but she wasn’t there. He looked around the building for a while before finding the woman in the infirmary holding Isabella’s hand. Isabella didn’t look good. She was close to death and Mikaela knew it. The woman’s left eye was swollen shut and her body was black and blue. Her chest was red with blood and Isabella was struggling to breathe. She laid there, helpless, and that broke both Micky and Negan.
“Mikaela.” He walked into the room and asked everyone to leave. Negan sat on the chair next to Mikaela and put his hand on her shoulder. The woman winced underneath his touch, she didn’t want to be held, she didn’t want him to feel bad for her. “This could have been me. I could have died before the apocalypse.” Negan furrowed his brow and looked at the back of her neck. He had no clue what she was talking about. But then again, Mikaela never really spoke about her past, her life before the Saviours. “My ex husband, David. He used to beat me black and blue. One time, my whole body looked like Isabella. I had to take four months leave from work because my body wasn’t healing fast enough.” Mikaela held Isabella’s hand close to her body as she spoke. She could relate to the situation of her friend before her. “I was pregnant. I managed to hide the bump for just under five months but when he found out he really didn’t like it, so he pushed me down the stairs and aborted my baby. She was mine and he..he killed her. I gave birth in the bathroom and held this little pink body in my hands for hours, not willing to let go of her just yet.” She felt her eyes water as she retold the story. “My little baby. She fit in m-my hands, she was s-so smal-” She started to sob and leaned into Negan’s chest. And she just sobbed into his chest. “She was mine..” Negan didn’t know what to do, so he just held her and hugged her and told her that he was gone and that she was safe now.
Negan didn’t know how to treat Mikaela after that day in the infirmary. She had been through way more than he could have imagined and yet he wanted to protect her. Deep down the man knew he didn’t have to, i mean damn she survived a toxic ass relationship for God knows how many years before people started raising from the dead, she knew how to care for herself. But Negan would be lying if he said he didn’t want to protect her from the world. He loved every part of her, her dark hair to her matching dark eyes and how her skin often shined in the sun. The woman was beautiful and Negan knew it. As did many other men in the Sanctuary, meaning Negan had to scare them off, one way or another.

STALKER (10x10)
Mikaela stirred her coffee and looked up at her son, who was eating his cereal. “You want some more?” She asked and smiled, watching as he looked up from his colouring book. “Yes please.” He asked and looked down at his bowl again. Micky picked up the cereal packet and walked towards him, pouring more into his empty bowl. “Momma when is daddy coming home?” Ethan asked her. Mikaela bit his lip and looked down at him. “Soon baby. Soon.” She kissed his head and looked at him. Mikaela looked out the window and smiled, seeing Judith, Gracie and RJ playing outside. “Hey, why don’t you go get changed so you can play outside?” She smiled and watched him run into his bedroom. The weather was getting warmer again but it wasn’t exactly summer. Although she tried to forget about him, it was hard. Micky was in love with Negan, and it was so dangerous for both her and her son. She just wished that Negan would make his mind up. After all, Ethan had been through a lot; not realising his dad was alive and literally living underneath his feet. Micky played with her wedding ring that lived around her neck as she looked at the pictures around the house. The Kingdom had such amazing technology compared to Alexandria so she could print out some photos and take some photos of Ethan while he was little. She just needed some part of her old life back and if that was through photos then Ezekiel promised to do that. Micky had so much respect for the King; he had been through so much, even before the boarder. He was just one of the men that she knew she could trust (and there wasn’t many of those left).
Mikaela finished cleaning up and got dressed before heading out for the day. She walked past the kids and gave Judith a hug while clicking his weapon belt on. “There is someone in the jail. A whisperer.” Mikaela’s eyes went wide. “What?” She looked at her radio and saw that it was turned off. “I’ll be back soon.” She waved before running towards the cell. She opened the door and looked at Rosita and Gabriel. “Mikaela. Your radio was turned off.” Rosita looked at her, crossing her arms over her body. “You know where i live.” She answered back and looked at the woman in the cell. “Micky, you don’t have to..” She shook her head. “Nah i do.” Gabriel looked at the girls and put his hand on Rosita’s shoulder, nodding at her before they left. Mikaela turned around and looked at the woman in the cell. “So your one of them then?” She looked at her and crossed her arms over her chest. The woman looked over at her. “Yes. Well..yes.” She mumbled and watched as the small amount of light bounced off the ring around her neck. “Where is he?” Micky mumbled. “Who?” The woman answered, leaving Mikaela annoyed and frustrated. “My husband, my son’s father. Negan.”
It was almost as if a light bulb turned on inside her head when she said his name. “He’s with the whisperers. He’s safe.” She told her, allowing Mikaela to relax slightly. “He spoke about you. And your son, Ethan right?” She asked and looked into her eyes. “He said my sons name?” The woman nodded, anger flashing over her face. “Of course he put our son at risk, he doesn’t give a shit.” She spoke to herself and looked at the wall before facing the woman again. “I’m Mikae-“ “I know.” She interrupted. “He told us about you too. He seemed to love you, like so much so he was like sleeping with a photo of you.” She rolled her eyes and smiled. “And you are?” “Mary.” Micky smiled. “Well it’s nice to meet you Mary. I’m going to have to leave now but i’ll see you later.” Mikaela waved and walked outside, falling to her knees and started to laugh, and cry, all at the same time. She wiped her eyes and looked up at the clouds before standing up, looking back at the cell. “Micky, are you alright?” Judith asked her, before taking her seat on the stairs by the cell window. “Yeah yeah. Sorry did i scare you?” She asked and joined her on the step, putting her hands in her lap and playing with her fingers. “No you didn’t. My mum used to get overwhelmed and she would cry and scream. Everyone gets upset, you aren’t different.” Judith smiled and looked at the woman with a smile on her face. “Is this where you used to sit to talk to Negan?” Micky asked and looked at the view from where they were sat. “Yeah. He asked me to bring Ethan, you know once he put it together that he was his son but i didn’t.” Judith hugged her arm before sighing. “Well Negan put himself in that cell, you raised Ethan basically alone so it was your choice. Let’s hope he comes back soon.” Judith smiled before jumping up and hugging her tightly. “I’m going to find RJ and Ethan.” She waved and ran off, leaving Mikaela to think.
A couple hours passed and Mikaela missed the council meeting but Rosita filled her in and gave her the job of staying as close as possible to her. Mikaela never thought her and Rosita would meet again after the apocalypse started. She loved that Rosita looked out for Micky after everything but that didn’t stop her from still feeling so guilty. After all her husband killed her ex-boyfriend and he never apologised. But she loved her and she was so very glad that they found each other again. “Hey daydreamer!” Rosita laughed and put a hand on her shoulder. “We better get moving, patrol needs to be done by someone. We can’t all be away with the fairies.” The woman laughed and started to walk away.
“Mikaela! You need to go get the kids. Now!” Rosita yelled and threw her a gun before she ran towards the nearest houses. She looked around and watched from the other street that Michonne’s door had been knocked down. Micky looked up and saw Rosita before rushing into the house. “Hey!” Rosita shouted, looking at the huge man. “‘Come and get me!” She shouted before looking at him and prepping herself for his attack. Once he ran into her and started to fight, Mikaela jumped on his back and stabbed him in the shoulder. Beta groaned and pushed her off her back before slashing her legs and arms. Rosita hit him again before he pushed her away and knocked Mikaela out after her hit the wall.
Mikaela woke up in the her bed and winced as she sat up. She held her leg and watched as Rosita walked past her bed multiple times. “I guess you’ve missed me?” Micky laughed as Rosita turned around and hugged her best friend deeply. “Oh my God. Are you alright?” She asked and put a hand on her face as she nodded. “Yeah. We are all heading to Hilltop. You coming?” Mikaela nodded and looked outside the window and saw Ethan walk past the door with Judith. “Momma!” Ethan ran into the room and hugged Micky tightly. “Hey baby! Go grab anything you need we have to go to Hilltop.” He smiled and nodded before running back outside and towards the group. The woman got out of bed and walked out her house, catching Aaron’s eyes. “Mikaela.” He smiled weakly and ran towards her, hugged her tightly. The woman winced slightly when he hugged her, the pressure of his body against her new wounds. “Shit are you alright?” He asked her and put a hand on her face. She shook her head but smiled anyway. “I’ll explain on the way.” Rosita waved them over and moved up in the cart. “Room for four more!” Judith shouted and smiled as Gracie and Mary joined the others on the back of the cart. Mikaela sat next to Ethan and hugged him close to her. “You okay baby?” She asked him and kissed his forehead, playing with his hair. The boy nodded and curled into a ball, holding himself close to his mother. She didn’t listen to Rosita and Mary’s conversation but she knew what they were saying. And with that, they set off to Hilltop.

01: The Saviour Who Was Saved
Mikaela was saved. She guessed that’s why they called themselves the Saviours but they literally saved her life. She was a midwife and when the apocalypse started, she was stuck in Atlanta, unable to find a working car or any alive people. The world was so overrun with the dead or eaten that she didn’t know where to turn. The girl headed home before she found her husband turned in the house. It just so happened that the one and only Dwight was passing by and killed the man for the helpless girl. She never got to thank him because he was gone as quick as he was there. But the girl didn’t mourn her husband, she threw him outside next to the trash and locked the door. Mikaela went inside and tried to call her best friend, but her phone was dead. “Fucking hell Rosita.” She groaned and rested her head on the wall before letting tears run down her cheeks.
It had only been a year into the apocalypse and Mikaela had been on her own throughout it all. She had to find her own food and water as well as covering her own back from bandits and large groups. She was wandering in the forest one day when she heard a loud bang. The next thing she knew she was chased. Mikaela never had time to look back and see what was chasing her but when she tripped and fell down into a ditch, she saw it was a man and a woman. “Why did you run?” The woman asked, holding her hand out for Mikaela to grab. “Because you chased me. And if you weren’t aware, the dead is roaming the earth.” She replied and used her hand to get up. The woman used to pride herself on being a people person, after all she worked in a hospital, but now she was so isolated and alone that the thought of people disgusted her. “Yeah.” The man said and held his gun close to his side. Mikaela eyed up the gun and watched his moves, ensuring he wasn’t going to try something. “I’m Ben and this is Lucy.” They introduced themselves and looked at her. “We are part of a community. She woke up in a bed. A fucking bed. She’ll never forget the feeling of a bed again after a year of sleeping on dirt. She moved her right arm and pushed her hair out of her face before looking at her feet. Someone had changed her clothes. “Hello?!” She yelled out and moved her legs over the bed and stood up, her feet supporting her body’s weight. She played with her hair before walking to the large window and opening it wide. She rested her head against the bars, they were smart. This community didn’t want any ‘accidents’. She breathed in multiple breathes of fresh air into her dry throat before sighing loudly. “Someone’s upset.” The voice rang out, making Mikaela jump. “Woah pretty lady don’t mind me. Just here to make sure you are alright?” He asked and sat down on the leather seat near her. She flinched and moved further into the corner. “Ben never told me how he got you here bu-“ Mikaela rolled her eyes. “He knocked me out. I didn’t ask to be brought here and i would love to be dropped off back at my..house.” The man played with his beard and laughed. “You mean that forest? That’s not a home. That’s a joke.”
“Hey fuck you.” She frowned and crossed her arms over her chest, realising that her clothes weren’t on her person. “Where are my clothes?” She asked looking at the man. “In the wash. Along with some more clothes with you.” Mikaela bit her lip and backed herself into the corner. “I’m Negan. And my people saved you.” Mikaela scoffed. “Saved? If you call a hit to the head and a concussion saving.” She rolled her eyes and played with her fingers. “He hit you?” Micky nodded. “Yeah it fucking sucks.” She watched as he stood up and walked towards her. It was like all the air from her lungs had left her body. The man was tall and smelt very nice. But Mikaela suddenly felt intimidated and tried to shrink to a smaller size, to show she wasn’t a threat in anyway. “Hey. I ain’t gonna hurt you.” He put one hand under her chin and lifted her up gently before moving her hair to the side and investigating the bruise and cut on her forehead. “I’m gonna kill that asshole.” He raised his voice, scaring Mikaela making her fall to the ground. Negan stepped back, knowing the situation this girl must have been in. He kneeled down on the floor next to her and grabbed her hand, walking her out of the room and outside, watching the rain fall onto the floor. “The rain used to calm me after a bad day. I thought you might enjoy a little calm.” Negan smiled and sat down on the floor, the woman joining him. Negan grabbed her hand, extremely gently, and rubbed his hand over hers for comfort. “You are safe here. Ben is gonna get in so much trouble for what he did to you. Nobody deserves that, especially not a woman like you.” He smiled and let the girl sleep in his lap.
“Thank you.” Mikaela smiled.
