He’s basically R*bin Hood and “hate[s] violence,” so it shouldn’t be shocking that he hates a billionaire weapons manufacturer. Not to mention how after they met, Tonky basically put him in the Raft, constantly insulted him, and is the reason the five years he lost with C-ssie stuck.

I've been saying this for years but I've finally found the funniest way to say it, in the MCU Tony Stark isn't so much Peter Parker's father figure as he is his deadbeat dad figure. Like Tony shows up once a year to take Peter to a baseball game kinda vibe. Tony in homecoming is like hey kid I know I haven't seen or spoken to you in months but I bought you something and that's basically the same as emotional support. Tony taking Peter to Germany in civil war is like when your deadbeat dad tells your mom you're having father-son time but he's really just taking you to his guys' poker night and trying to get you to cheat for him. When Tony says you're nothing without the suit then you shouldn't have it, it's like when your dad says if you're not going to follow my rules in my house you can leave, I put a roof over our heads what else could you possibly want from me. Tony mourning Peter after infinity war and calling him his kid is like when your dad only wants to hang out with you after he's lost custody. Like well and truly deadbeat behavior no wonder the fanon is like that

Look, I agree that a lot of the complaints about Peggy/Captain Carter are nonsense, but Steve has gotten hate for IW in the years since. Most of it unjustified, by the way, since a) it was not solely his decision and b) it’s not a bad thing that the team didn’t instantly murder an innocent person when it could have been avoided (and it very nearly was.) Plus, once Thanos had the Time Stone it didn’t matter, anyway. Funny how parts of the fandom blame anyone but Thanos for the atrocity that he chose to commit. 

Anyway, my point is don’t blame Steve for the bullshit thrown at Peggy. He’s no more to blame for that then Peggy or Hayley are to blame for the hate Sharon gets.

I was browsing Instagram and then I saw some CW nonsense and now I’m annoyed all over again.

People who try to “bOtH SiDeS!” that conflict are arguably worse than the outright, still-dying-on-their-hill-of-bullshit T--m Ir*n M*n supporters. I don’t know how anyone can look at a group of people who oppose human rights violating garbage that’s pushed by shady politicians under shady circumstances and go “Yeah, they’re totally the same as the group pushing said legislation, all while kidnapping teenagers and attempting murder and still braying on about being ‘put in check.’ Definitely the same. No difference.”

These same people will also be like, “They coulda taaaaaaalked.” As if everyone is equally responsible for the “communication breakdown.” As if Sam and Steve didn’t try to talk (on multiple occasions), only to be steamrolled over with fallacies and bullshit. Like, what the fuck were they supposed to do?

Not saying anyone has to love St*ve (or any character/thing for that matter), but seeing someone claim to hate him because something something imperialism while loving T*ny’s xenophobic, authoritarian self is always so confusing. Like Steve is the detestable one because uhhhhhh 117 countries, but Mr. Everyone-on-Earth-needs-to-live-with-a-gun-to-their-head-because-I’m-afraid-of-aliens-and-that-goes-double-for-the-enhanced-who-also-have-to-pay-for-my-actions-and-shoulder-my-guilt is just a lovable scamp? The thing that really gets me about the “Tonky is female-coded” thing isn’t simply that it’s absurd as hell and these films have tons of actual female characters. It’s that if these stans truly want a female character who is intelligent, snarky, and great with tech, who can be icy/bitchy at first but in her heart of hearts is fiercely loyal and protective and loving, who has daddy issues, abandonment issues, and carries the weight of her parents’ legacy...

H*pe van Dyne is right. there.

But they don’t care about her. Except when they can use her as a prop against Team C@p/Sc0tt or try to turn her into Tonky’s “cousin” like they do with Sh*ron (but that’s a whole other can of worms.) It’s yet another example of how they don’t care about other characters (especially female ones) and want to use any excuse they can come up with to shield Stank from legitimate criticism.

It’s frustrating to go through the W*ndaV*sion tag and see people just aghast at why W*nda could have been so wasted up until this point. Like, they can’t fathom how it happened, but it’s simple.

When the powers that be play clear and obvious favorites and place most of the focus (even in group movies) onto one specific character, every one else is going to be underdeveloped and underutilized. You can’t eat your cake and keep it, too, after all. But I know most of the fandom doesn’t want to hear that.

And I’m not even saying that I think every M/C/U character should have equal screen time or anything (because that’s not practical at all), but it just would’ve been nice if things hadn’t been so heavily skewed for so long.
