Thoughts on Transformers One
Honestly, it sounds like a fun movie and I’m excited to see it. I will confess that I was hoping for something more like the book Exodus, but this will be a fun take on it. I will admit the fact that Optimus and Megatron were not in different social classes in this one would downplay the interest of the debate. What I like about the movie is that it sounds fun but still has the heart that I expect to see when I am watching Transformers. Overall I’m excited to see the movie.

Would it be a weird concept to say a "What if Rung was sent to earth instead of Bumblebee and Rung met a human there"? Not necessarily Charlie from the Bumblebee movie or Noah with ROTB, but the concept itself aplying to Rung ;)
It wouldn’t be weird at all. I’m not sure what you mean to request exactly but here are some thoughts on it.
The human
The human would probably be more of a loud type character. One of Rung’s defining traits is that he is often on the sidelines and overlooked. The human would likely be the type of person who would get attention no matter if they intend to or not.
Different scenes
If we were following the plot of the movie, some scenes like entering the house in Bumblebee would not happen as Rung would not be the type to enter unless expressly invited. Some obstacles would be things like their differing viewpoints causing conflict. Perhaps the human doesn’t get why he waits to take action. The human may also have some issue that he helps with, perhaps they have an impulsive nature or fiery temper and want revenge for a wrongdoing an ex-friend did and he helps them though it.
Action scenes
Rung is not very action oriented so he would need to be driven to it, perhaps by the human or the fact he knows Cybertron needs him.
I hope this is along the lines of what you want. I wasn’t sure what exactly you wanted.

Can you make a story where tfp Ultra Magnus had a mental breakdown because of his PTSD from the war and Optimus just there to comfort him as a older brother figure? Thank you.
-Sorry for the slow reply, I did like the request. This is a lot more serious than what I normally write so I apologize if this isn’t my best work. For any readers who would be triggered by mentions of PTSD in writing, please be aware the story has it.-
Ultra Magnus was sitting in the base. It was quiet, the quiet both unnerved him and made him feel calm. He heard the sound of the base’s door opening and jumped, relaxing only when he saw recognized the familiar sound of Bumblebee, Arcee and Bulkhead entering the base, no doubt with the three humans who frequented the base.
He shifted uncomfortably, the humans tended to bring noise with them. He shut his optics, “I can’t deal with the noise, not today.” He thought to himself with a slight tremble.
Deciding he would feel safer in his room, he stayed while he heard the children talking excitedly with the others. He took deep breaths in order to try to calm himself down.
Things were going well until he heard some squeeling noise. His mind suddenly went to one of the last battles on Cybertron. That sound, he heard it all over the battlefield as those he fought alongside as brothers were torn apart. The squeeling of the metal of his friends. He didn’t even think about his next actions, the next thing he knew was he was rushing out of the base quickly. The confused look of the others didn’t even register for him.
He drove out of the base quickly and as he drove he didn’t register the rules of the road. Hours later, he found himself in a deserted area with no knowledge of how he ended up there or how to return to base. He didn’t wish to show weakness by calling the others to ask for directions but knew he would need to head back.
The fact he was lost only escalated his fear and he felt like his spark was burning as the idea of being lost began to crowd his senses.
“Ultra Magnus.” Optimus said gently as he found him, “Are you alright.”
Ultra Magnus paused, he wanted to say everything was fine but he couldn’t bring himself to lie to his commander. “No, I must admit that I am not and I understand if you request I leave the team for my display.”
“No one is angry that you reacted that way, I simply reached out as I was concerned as a friend.” Optimus said.
“The squeeling noise I heard, it reminded me too much of a battlefield.” Ultra Magnus confessed.
“I understand and I can ask the others to be careful about it. The noise was Miko and Rafael testing a new computer audio program and it malfuctioned.” Optimus said.
Ultra Magnus looked away in shame.
“It is understandable why it brought those memories and you have done nothing wrong, I simply wanted to let you know that in this case there was no danger.” Optimus said to him.
Ultra Magnus nodded.
“Would you wish to head back to base?” Optimus asked.
Embarrassment filled Ultra Magnus again. “I must confess, I failed to pay attention to where I was and lost my way.” He confessed.
“I will return with you and we can sit on the roof of the base, it is a known area for those in the base who wish for quiet.” Optimus said.
Ultra Magnus, smiled at that. “Thank you sir.” He said.
They drove to the base and sat on the rooftop quietly.
“Would you like company?” Optimus asked.
Ultra Magnus managed to let out a nod.
The two of them sat in silence for some time.
“I always thought if I could just follow all the regulations, I would be fine; that I could avoid feeling like this.” Ultra Magnus confessed after a bit.
“I understand.” Optimus replied. “However you do not have to face these feelings alone. May I ask how long you have been struggling with it?”
“Since I arrived but it was manageable until a few days ago. I’m sorry sir, I don’t know why I failed to manage it.” Ultra Magnus replied.
“You have nothing to apologize for.” Optimus replied kindly. “It is normal to struggle with these feelings and rely on each other.”
Ultra Magnus said nothing at that.
The two of them spent hours sitting in silence.
“Thank you.” Ultra Magnus finally said after a few moments.
“Anytime.” Optimus said.

honestly, kind of a weird ask but say if Optimus was turned into a fembot (either just for fun or something deeper) how would team prime react? i always saw op as more of a maternal figure than a paternal figure tbh
Well, the biggest thing for any of them would be how Optimus feels about the change. For this, I’m going to say she is happy with it but that’s just because I had to pick one for the headcannons. Sorry for the late reply. I’ll admit I never really considered the implications of gender for cybertronians so I hope this is okay.
Optimus
- She would be surprised at the change but take it in stride.
- She carries on like nothing changed and she won’t bring it up unless one of the others do so.
Ratchet
- He would be surprised and insists of giving Optimus a medical scan.
- He would respect Optimus’s wishes about how to proceed with it.
Arcee
- She would be surprised but kind of happy to have another fembot on the team.
- She scolds anyone who makes a snide comment about it.
Bumblebee
- He is surprised at the change. He is the youngest so he probably has the least amount of experience.
- He discusses the change with Optimus.
Bulkhead
- He is shocked at the news.
- He tries to act like nothing changed as he doesn’t want to say the wrong thing.
Wheeljack
- He finds it amusing.
- As long as it doesn’t upset Optimus, he playfully teases him.
Smokescreen
- He is very curious about it.
- He asks a lot of questions.
Ultra Magnus
- He is surprised but doesn’t show it.
- He adjusts quickly to using different pronouns and titles.

With it being so close to Halloween, I thought I’d bring this one back up.
TFP: Ghost
I wanted to do one where they are driving and come across a ghost. Pretty much they are driving and see a ghost appear and vanish. In this one they don’t know what a ghost is.
Optimus
- Something about the person concerns him.
- He slows down to see if he can figure out how to help.
- When the ghost vanishes, he acts natural and returns to base.
- He looks up the info.
- He hides it, but he is nervous about the idea of ghosts
- He chooses not to disclose this event to the others.
Ratchet
- He grumbles about how humans can be so weird.
- He considers slowing down.
- Before he can, the figure vanishes and he drives off quickly.
- He looks up what happened on the computer.
- He shakes his head and grumbles about it being another dumb Earth thing.
- He refuses to talk about it, but grumbles about driving at night.
Arcee
- She’s concerned for the person.
- She knows that she can’t offer much help as a motorcycle and doesn’t slow down.
- She stops suddenly when the ghost vanishes.
- As she is taking Jack home, she asks about what she saw.
- The idea of a ghost makes her think of Cliffjumper and Tailgate so she’s a bit distant for a bit.
- She warns Bee what she saw, but keeps it quiet from anyone else.
Bumblebee
- He’s worried about the person.
- He wants to stop, but knows that he’ll reveal his identity if he does.
- When the ghost vanishes, he spins out slightly in surprise.
- He tells everyone at the base what he saw.
- He asks a lot of questions when Raf tells him about ghosts.
Bulkhead
- He notices something’s up with the person and wonders why.
- He is debating how to handle it.
- He lets out a shout when the ghost vanishes.
- He goes to the base and rants about what he saw.
- He denies it but is freaked out about the idea of ghosts.
Wheeljack
- He doesn’t give much thought to the person.
- He plans to drive by like normal.
- He stops when the ghost vanishes.
- He calls Bulkhead from the road “So, I was driving by and there was this human, than she vanished into thin air. Is that a human thing I didn’t know about?”
- Bulkhead tells Wheeljack he’ll have to look it up so he just returns to base. He finds it cool when he learns and wants to find more. He goes out right away to do so.
Smokescreen
- He’s confused seeing the person
- He reminds himself “Robots in disguise” and doesn’t stop.
- When the ghost vanishes, he speeds to base, trying to evade whatever caused the person to vanish.
- When Optimus is lecturing him on speeding, he interrupts by telling Optimus what he saw. Optimus asks Agent Fowler who happened to be at base about it.
- He is freaked out but finds it cool. He asks the other humans about ghost stories.
Ultra Magnus
- He frowns seeing a person at the side of the road.
- He makes a mental note that this is a thing humans do.
- When the human vanishes, he stops suddenly. He then continued driving, embarrassed by his actions.
- He writes a report and shows Optimus it in private.
- He asks about protocol for seeing a ghost so he can hide his fear.
Bonus, how the humans would react to seeing a ghost
Jack
- He is outside during break and sees someone.
- When the ghost vanishes, he quickly enters the building.
- He tells no one.
Miko
- She is drawing outside when she notices the person.
- The ghost vanishes and she goes to the area the ghost was at.
- She tells Bulkhead about it and complains that she didn’t get it on camera.
Raf
- He is outside racing cars when he sees the person.
- When the ghost vanishes, he hurries back to the house.
- He calls Bumblebee and they talk about it.
June
- She is just getting off shift when she sees the person.
- When the ghost vanishes, she hurries to her car.
- She doesn’t tell the others but is more wary in that area.
Agent Fowler
- He is outside after a stressful meeting when he sees the person.
- When the ghost vanishes, he just stares where the ghost was.
- He doesn’t tell anyone as he doubts they’d believe him.

Which horror monster would each bot be the most scared of, if at all? Can be as general as "zombies" or as specific as "That one version of Jason"
Thanks for the ask. This one was fun to write as though I’ve been busy, I really like Halloween and spooky things. Like people, all Bots would have something that would scare them. Some will be the same as others, which I’m sorry if that’s boring but I put a reason as to why I think that way so please understand that I wanted to pick the best choice for each, even if it made the writing have similar fears.
Optimus
- Any time where the “monster” is human so Jason would be one but any human similar would do the same result.
- He seems to have a soft spot for humanity so I think this would scare him because of the idea how horrifying they can be.
Ratchet
- Gremlins.
- He does a lot of things that need technology and the fact the Bots are living technology would make him scared of them.
Arcee
- Zombies.
- After what happened with Cliffjumper and the Dark Energon of course she would be. She saw him like that and it was clear it affected her greatly.
Bumblebee
- Ghosts.
- A big part of what he did as a scout was to notice things. Ghosts can’t be seen.
Bulkhead
- He shares Arcee’s view of zombies.
- Judging from his reaction to scraplets, zombies are kind of like scraplets as they eat people (Fun fact, I was going to say vampires for him vampires are a bit “neater” in terms of there’s less scratches/ getting at their brains so zombies would scare him more).
Wheeljack
- Ghosts as well.
- He does best with things he can fight. Mummies, Zombies, Vampires; all those things can be physically fought even if not defeated by them. He can’t punch a ghost.
Smokescreen
- Does “Mad Scientist” count as a monster? Well it’s my blog so I’m counting it and that’s his fear.
- It was clear he was freaked out when Shockwave used that cortical psychic patch so mad scientists probably scare him.
Ultra Magnus
- Werewolves.
- The fact that ordinary people could lose themselves to these insticts like that and be driven to become monstrous beings would scare him with his rule-oriented nature.

Could I get Team Prime's reaction to discovering that the Decepticons ALSO have a group of three human teenagers, but instead of being the human's guardians, the Decepticons trained them to hate Optimus, and carry out evil plans?
The humans each have a partner, too. One is Starscream's partner, one is Soundwave's and one is Knockout's.
They're like the evil version of the three kids.
Sorry for the late reply, this is a cool idea.
Optimus
- He would be upset about it as he tries to see the best in humanity.
- He would refuse to fight them and would instead find other ways, like moving them out of the way.
- The others notice he’s even more serious than usual after the discovery.
Ratchet
- He’s not surprised that humans could be evil.
- He often calls them short-sighted, pointing out that Megatron will betray them the second it becomes useful.
- He’s a little crankier than usual, but it’s hard to notice.
Arcee
- She isn’t surprised, but is angry.
- She’s more gentle with them than the other Decepticons, but still a bit rough with them.
- She becomes angry and admittedly forms a lower opinion of humanity.
Bumblebee
- He is upset that humans could choose to do that as he views most as innocent.
- He avoids fighting them.
- During a drive, he talks to Raf about it.
Bulkhead
- He’s surprised.
- He tries to reason with the humans.
- He keeps insisting that there is a way to convince them it’s a bad idea.
Wheeljack
- He’s not overly surprised as he is still getting used to humans so maybe it’s normal.
- He’s not very gentle in fights.
- He enjoys trash-talking about those guys with Miko.
Smokescreen
- He is surprised by it.
- He tries tricking the humans but not actively hurting them (For example, he’ll make them think something they need is the other way.).
- He talks to Jack about it.
Ultra Magnus
- He frowns at the news, but it’s hard to gauge his reaction.
- He uses strategy to stop but not hurt the humans as he’s still following Autobot rules.
- He asks Optimus about it as he is surprised by it.
Jack
- He is shocked that humans could side with the Decepticons.
- He tries to reason with them.
- He’s quiet after the discovery.
Miko
- She’s surprised.
- She argues that since she’s human like them, she can participate in fighting them.
- She sees them as just another member of the Decepticons.
Raf
- He’s saddened at the news.
- As he doesn’t fight normally, he has no issues with battling them intellectually.
- He questions if they were brainwashed somehow.

How would the bots react to a human baby that jack is babysitting and brings to the base because he couldn’t leave them alone
Thanks for the ask.
Optimus
- At first he in curious about the small human.
- Jack explains about babysitting and explains that the baby needs lots of care.
- Optimus is proud of the responsibility Jack shows in caring for the baby.
- He has a sense of hope from watching the baby as it reminds him that even if life isn’t continuing on Cybertron, Earth still has a future.
- For the most part, he doesn’t offer to help, realizing that Jack took this responsibility.
Ratchet
- He’s at first worried that the tiny human is hurt somehow (Like if there was a damaged protoform).
- Jack explains that the baby is normal for their age and that humans grow and he’s just babysitting the child since they need constant care.
- Ratchet sees how Jack is responsible by how he takes care of the child.
- He feels more determined to restore Cybertron so their planet can have life like that.
- He helps as more of a learning thing. After what happened with Raf being infected by Dark Energon, he wants to be prepared to help any human at the base.
Arcee
- She finds the small human strange.
- Jack explains he’s babysitting and can’t leave the baby alone.
- Arcee is proud of how Jack is so responsible; but confused how humanity lasts if they start out so weak.
- She really doesn’t like being around the baby.
- She doesn’t help much, but would if Jack needed help.
Bumblebee
- He’s curious about the small human.
- Jack explains he’s babysitting and what a baby is.
- Bumblebee doesn’t realize how much work it is for Jack until he tries to help.
-He finds the baby cute.
- He tries to help, but struggles.
Bulkhead
- He’s curious about the small human.
- He listens as Jack explains what babysitting is.
- He’s curious, but nervous about holding the baby. He’s proud of how responsible Jack is.
- He is amused by the baby’s antics.
- He likes finding random things to give the baby to play with, as long as it’s safe.
Wheeljack
- He finds the baby strange.
- He’s listens with half-interest as he talks about what a baby is.
- He doesn’t get why Jack would want to take care of a smaller organic, but he finds it cool how Jack handled the organic well. He admitted he’d get frustrated in a minute.
- He finds it funny how much trouble a small organic being can get into.
- He doesn’t help much.
Smokescreen
- He’s curious about the human.
- He asks a lot of questions.
- He at first thinks taking care of a baby would be easy, but is impressed how well Jack does it when he realizes how much work it takes.
- He laughs at pretty much anything the baby does. Though he does ask Jack if the baby is alright since they sleep a lot.
- He tried to help, but Jack has to spell out exactly what is needed.
Ultra Magnus
- He is at first unhappy about an unexpected guest.
- He asks if Jack can handle the responsibility.
- He is impressed with how Jack shows resposibility when taking care of the baby.
- He doesn’t understand that babies don’t have a lot of abilities like the kids; when the baby cries, he tells the baby to use their words.
- He tries to help, but has troubles babies can’t be talked to like the humans at base can (even if they still only listen sometimes).

I’m sorry if I’m detracting from the whole anger side of the argument, but this is an interesting thing I thought of.
What if she realized she was being selfish for it and her anger at Wheeljack and Smokescreen is part of her reaction to it. Arcee is one of my favourite characters, but she does not handle her emotions well (Though it’s clear she is working on it). Maybe part of why she became so angry was her frustration about her own actions.
Her difficulty regulating emotions is shown thought the series by how she is ready to snap at the others quickly, wanting to leave the kids at base because she was annoyed at watching them, her deciding to race after Vince called her “ugly”, so there is evidence for that.
I do have to add, in episode 4, Bulkhead drove Miko to Jack’s house so he was presumably in on the attempt to convince him. Miko can be somewhat excused as she is a kid and it’s clear that she is failing to take the situation seriously at this point. True, Bulkhead didn’t say anything but he was at least supporting it, (unless Miko lied about why she wants to see Jack, which is possible but we have no evidence of). The only reason Bulkhead isn’t brought up is the fact he said nothing and the fact it didn’t work.
I do agree that it was a misjudgment on Arcee’s part and I’m not saying she was right, but the contradiction could be explained by her difficulty with emotional regulation, so it does add to her character from a writing perspective
I don't feel like Arcee is criticized enough for asking Jack to come back to team prime when he left due to safety reasons. Arcee put the grief and guilt she felt after losing Cliffjumper onto a 16 year old kid she just met because she was tired of losing partners, and while it made for a great story the ethics behind why Arcee does what she does is iffy.
Which is always weird to me to see how she's the first one angry at Wheeljack when he endangered Miko, or mad at Smokescreen for taking Jack with him, when she's the one who asked one of the kids to come BACK after they left because they were scared for their life.
Arcee is a walking contradiction and I love her for it, but I don't think she gets called out for it

Reactions to a human with a plushie (doll): TFP
Imagine the human is planning to stay at the base and brings a doll out of her bag, explaining it helps her sleep. For the part where she is asleep, she falls asleep on the couch.
Optimus
- At first he is only a little curious about the object as it doesn’t seem too surprising.
- He only notices when Miko playfully teases you.
- He listens carefully as you explain it helps you sleep.
- If it falls off the couch while you sleep, he will carefully put it on a nearby table.
- He asks Fowler for a spare plushie for the base in case you don’t have yours for whatever reason.
Ratchet
- He finds it silly.
- He asks why you brought it.
- He understands how such an object would provide comfort and takes it seriously.
- If it falls from the couch, he puts it back, hoping that loosing it for that time won’t wake you up.
- He now thinks that’s helpful for all humans and gets one for Jack, Miko and Raf.
Arcee
- She finds it silly.
- She teases you about it.
- When you mention it helps you sleep, she turns serious, remembering how she needed comfort after loosing her partners.
- If it falls from the couch, she leaves it, assuming you’d know what you need by now. Though she does tell you where it is if you wake up.
- She started using one to and finds it helps.
Bumblebee
- He’s curious.
- He asks (Raf translates) if he can hold it so he can see it.
- When you explain it helps you sleep, his eyes soften as he realizes how important these comfort items can be.
- If it falls, he places it on a nearby table and lets you know right when you wake up.
- He ends up with one he uses sometimes.
Bulkhead
- He’s curious about it.
- He’ll simply ask what it is.
- He asks if you can sleep without it if you need to. He knows how unpredictable things get there.
- If it falls from the couch, he puts it back, trying to be quiet while thinking. “Please don’t wake up, humans need sleep.” He is quite proud if he did without waking you.
- He realizes all humans are different to he doesn’t worry about the others not having one.
Wheeljack
- He finds it a strange human thing.
- He’ll pick it up and look at it, commenting things like it’s outfit or if it looks old.
- When you explain it helps you sleep, he gently hands it back to you.
- If it falls off the couch, he looks to see if you seem bothered. If not, he will just leave it.
- He doesn’t care much, but won’t say anything if you happen to bring it on a mission.
Smokescreen
- He finds it silly.
- He’ll ask what it is.
- When you explain it helps you sleep, he doesn’t really get it but accepts if just something that helps you.
- If it falls of the couch, he’ll grab it and make it look like its making breakfast or playing a video game.
- He asks if you name it and will also ask the other humans if they have plushies.
Ultra Magnus
- He makes a note of everything brought to base so he notices it immediately.
- He’ll ask what it is and what it’s purpose is.
- When you explain it helps you sleep, he asks if Ratchet needs to be informed as he handles health things.
- When it falls off the couch, he places it on a table so its out of the way.
- Before each time you stay at the base for the night, he asks if you have your doll.

Hi :)
Can I get Team Prime's reaction to ASMR/headcanons as to which Bots can get ASMR and which can't? I think it'd be kinda funny lol
This is a really interesting ask as I’ve never really thought about those videos so I had to do a bit of reading about it. Thanks for encouraging me to learn something new. I hope you don’t mind, I also included how likely they are to try the videos upon finding them out. I didn’t put why as it seems more neurological so it’s not something one can just guess as to why; though I did think about how they interact with their environment when deciding.
Optimus
- He would likely get it, but would avoid showing that he did.
- He’d likely decide to try without the others knowing as he feels he can’t show his need for that comfort.
Ratchet
- I don’t think he would get them.
- He probably won’t want to try at first, dismissing it as some human thing.
Arcee
- She would get it.
- She would probably try it during a rough day and after taking out her anger on one of the members of the team by arguing with them.
Bumblebee
- He’d get it.
- He seems curious about Earth so I’m guessing he’d try it right away.
Bulkhead
- He wouldn’t get it.
- He’s also curious about Earth so he’d try it, but wouldn’t get it.
Wheeljack
- He wouldn’t get it.
- He watches one when Bulkhead suggests it, but he comes in not believing it.
Smokescreen
- He likely would get it.
- He tried it after hearing about it and now uses it if he feeling impatient for him.
Ultra Magnus
- He wouldn’t get it.
- He tried once but doubted it would work.

What does any of this have to do with gym class? Observation
The observation isn’t so much about that quote, but what came after. It talks about why when Ratchet said, “Rafael climbed to the top of the rope in gym class, we can do this.” In the episode Orion Pax pt 2.
At first, I thought that was a funny line as they are about to do something very challenging and in comparison, a high school activity seems very minuscule of an achievement. Ratchet even pointed that out when he asked Raf, “What does any of this have to do with gym class?”
Thinking about that scene later made me realize that it kind of shows the benefits to the Bots having the children at the base.
The children provide an innocence and motive for the bots to want to protect the planet for the sake of the friends. Also, when they are second-guessing a plan, it’s often the humans who talk them into it (Darkness Rising pt 5 is an example of this). In Scattered, Raf also encourages Ratchet to continue fighting.
I’m guessing small moments that weren’t shown in the show where the Autobots and humans are interacting is what improves the moral of the group and encourages them to keep going even when things are tough.
It leaves me wondering, there are probably other times when the children come home from school and their small achievements help the team remind themselves of what is really important.
Maybe Jack tells Arcee that he managed to ignore Vince’s remark or handled a conflict with him well and it makes Arcee reflect on how she handles conflicts.
Maybe Miko struggles with learning a new song and Bulkhead realizes that everyone does from time to time and he needs more confidence in himself.
In “Grill”, Fowler said the humans involvement were just meant to be humanitarian. In reality, their involvement was an accident. It worked out extremely well, but it was unintentional. It became humanitarian though as lets face it, fighting for as long as the bots were would impact people and we see the effect on the team with how Arcee acts and their reactions when things go wrong. They need the humans as they likely brought hope and an energy that the bots were missing.
When they are going to stop Unicron, they don’t agree for humanity in general, but for the humans that became so close to them.
So, you could say, a lot of it has to do with gym class.

Meaning of Family
This is inspired by the scene where Optimus and Ultra Magnus talk about family. There is bullying in this so please don’t read it if you are bothered by that. If you want the idea of family but feel bothered by the bullying theme, let me know and it may take time but I’m sure I can make a story without that element and keeping the theme.
(When a mean prank if pulled on Jack, Ultra Magnus learns what it means to be a family)
Jack smiled as he looked at his phone.
“What is it?” Arcee asked, seeing his smile.
“I was invited to a big party.” Jack replied, “I know it sounds silly but I didn’t think they’d invite me.”
“Why not? You’re awesome!” Smokescreen asked.
Jack looked away, “Yeah, but usually it’s the popular kids getting invites like that.”
Bulkhead looked at Miko, “Did you get an invite?”
“No.” Miko said. She looked over Jack’s shoulder at the text. “I wouldn’t be able to go anyways, it’s during the time I’m going back to Japan for spring break.”
Bee asked Raf the same thing though a series of beeps.
“No, I don’t really like them anyways.” Raf said. “Besides, if it’s the same week as Miko’s visit, I have my coding camp that week, remember?”
Bee whirred thoughtfully, remembering the conversation earlier where the two teens laughed at the coincidence.
Soon enough, the mention of the party was largely forgotten by them.
Ultra Magnus was on patrol when he saw Jack sitting outside at a park. His shoulders were hunched.
“I thought you had your party with your friends?” He asked.
Jack scoffed at that. “It… something came up.”
Ultra Magnus’s spark flared in concern. “Are you hurt?”
Jack laughed bitterly, “No, just embarrassed.” He paused, considering what to say next, “They invited me as a joke, sir.”
“A joke?” Ultra Magnus asked.
“When I came, they led me to a makeshift stage and I thought I was going to be convinced to do karaoke or something like that. They announced that they didn’t actually think I believed that a ‘fry cook’ like me would think I was really invited. It was all the popular kids and they all laughed.” Jack explained.
“Why didn’t you call Arcee or your mother for a ride?” Ultra Magnus asked.
Jack said nothing for a minute. “I was embarrassed and my mom’s working anyways.”
“Your peers should be embarrassed, not you.” Ultra Magnus said. He opened his car door and Jack entered.
“You should be proud of yourself for working.” Ultra Magnus said.
Jack said nothing.
“Would you feel better back at the base?” He asked.
“I don’t know, it would be embarrassing for everyone to realize I was just invited a a joke.” Jack replied.
“They would not hold it against you as you have done nothing wrong.” Ultra Magnus scolded. He frowned as Jack tensed up.
“You’re right, sir.” Jack said.
“Alright, would you want to stop for snacks on the way?” He asked, remembering how Jack, Miko and Raf would occasionally arrive at the base with snacks that were admittedly unhealthy.
“Thanks, but I’m sure you’re busy.” Jack said quickly.
“I was just finishing my patrol and returning to base.” He said. “Would you like me to inform the others you will be arriving and why if you don’t want to explain it?”
“That would be helpful, thanks.” Jack replied.
They stopped at the store and Jack went in to get snacks.
Ultra Magnus called the base, taking a breath as he waited for Ratchet to pick up.
“Ultra Magnus, did something happen?” Ratchet asked.
“Jack will be returning to base with me after picking up some snacks. His classmates used the party to pull a practical joke on him and…” He paused, not sure how to finish his thought.
“Is he hurt?” Arcee asked quickly as she heard as well.
“No, but I feel he needs our support.” Ultra Magnus said. “Ratchet, I would ask you to not mention the unhealthiness of his snack choice as he had a difficult enough evening.”
“Of course.” Ratchet said. It became routine that he would lightly lecture the children if they ate too much sugar.
They returned to base and the group went to Jack.
“Those scapheaps didn’t deserve you being there.” Bulkhead said.
Arcee messed with his hair, “Besides, they couldn’t do half the things you could.”
Jack smiled as they put on his favourite movie after he texted his mom to say he’s staying at the base for a bit.
Ratchet noticed Ultra Magnus watching from a distance, looking thoughtful.
“Sir, is everything alright?” Ratchet asked.
“Yes, I was just thinking.” He replied.
Ratchet sighed as he and Ultra Magnus walked to the next room.
“I know humans can be cruel to each other…” Ratchet started.
“It wasn’t about that.” Ultra Magnus said. “When Optimus spoke to me about family, I did not understand fully what he meant. When I saw Jack upset, I felt like I was in that situation and I was just so angry and hurt that someone would treat him that way. I believe I’m beginning to understand what makes a team a family.”
Ratchet cleared his throat, “Yes, I guess it can be a lot.”
“I have seen how the team works together. I believed that this level of attachment would have had a negative effect but it appears to improve the team.” Ultra Magnus said.
“I felt the same way at first.” Ratchet agreed.
Ultra Magnus glanced into the room and saw the group sitting with Jack and talking. Relief washed over him as he saw how Jack was now smiling and looked relaxed.
“If this is what it means to be a family, I believe I could get used to this.” He thought as he walked to rejoin the group.

Hi how would the decepticons react to a psychotic con that has the personality of rinny from pretty blood?
I’ve never seen the show you mentioned so I’m afraid I can’t do this request.

not really a request (but if it sparks anything up then be my guest lol) but i always thought op and june would be bffs. june just seems to be the one to gossip to optimus about stuff she hears from her peers lmao
This is a good point. With how protective they both are of their families, I feel they would bond over the struggle trying to keep everyone safe. You make an interesting point that June would talk to Optimus about stuff. He is older than June and has a bit more of a worldly outlook so I have a feeling that he would provide advice as even adults need help sometimes. June is a nurse so she may be in tuned to when something is wrong so she’d encourage Optimus to open up to her.
They may go on drives to discuss things if she spends more time at the base.
As time goes on and their friendship continues, Optimus may reach out to June in order to understand more about humans. For example, if the children are acting strangely, he may ask her if this is normal for them.
Overall, their friendship would likely be good for each other.
I apologize for the late reply, I didn’t want to risk it interfering with the poll results.

THANK YOU FOR THE ANGST!!!! It was beautiful and that happy ending was EVERYTHING😭😭😭😭
Arcee being emo is always welcome and Ratchet is MVP.
I’m really glad you liked the story. I enjoyed playing on how Arcee would feel believing a friend betrayed her and her guilt when she realized the truth.
