Generally basic rules of the Chosen for my au:

One legendary per Chosen. More than one is possible, but holds high risks for the Chosen.

For the most part, Chosens are.....chosen from the very beginning. Either since early childhood or the beginning of their journey. This isn't always the case, but that's how modern Chosens think the trend is.

Chosens are gifted powers at a certain point, based on the Legendary that Chosen them. This, alongside heightened durability and strength, Chosens can be seen as demi gods among men. But they are still human. Remember that.

Legendary pokemon fundamentally have the control here. They are the ones that Choose, and they are the only ones that can sever the connection to them and their Chosen. A Chosen, a human, cannot separate from their Legendary by themselves.......right?

Chosens, at least modern Chosens, have their powers and connection to these legendary pokemon kept a secret. At least, to the best of their abilities. No one wants to deal with people finding out about legendary pokemon and Chosens, and trying to claim that power for themselves. If a Chosen tells you that they're Chosen, it means they trust you with their life. For their sake and yours, keep your mouth shut.

This isn't exactly a rule per say, but given modern times, it's a generally consensus that A Chosen must protect their home. Their legendaries home. And for the most part it's true. But is it an obligation? Not at all.

I think that's all the basic rules? I'm kinda rethinking of how some of these are less of rules and more of assumptions, but eh.

So I’m about to make a completely insane post. Excuse me.

So I got this comment on Peaks and Valleys the other day, on the chapter where Blue is in the airport and has to put all his Pokemon in holding.

Grabs this anon’s shoulders. I thought about this. I thought about this a lot. I went back and forth on it during this chapter so much.

And I actually concluded that the airline security does not necessarily imply this. While a lot of our real-world flight security was considerably tightened and comes as a direct result of 9/11, I don’t think that’s the case here.

I think this is actually much more mundane safety concerns. Even an incredibly well-trained and well-behaved Pikachu, if surprised by a bout of turbulence, might let off some static. That’s going to interfere with the equipment and make things unsafe.

What about the incredibly variable size and shape of pokemon - what happens if some kid releases Mom’s Nidoqueen or Wailord in the middle of a flight? That’s a big and heavy pokemon to suddenly have in an enclosed space where weight of cargo has to be well accounted for.

Even if you bring a small Pokémon, evolution could happen really suddenly - especially due to environmental effects. Imagine someone’s got their cute little Tyrunt next to them on the flight, it sneaks a rare candy or something, and next thing you know there’s a massive 600lbs Tyrantrum to deal with.

What about the effects on the pokemon themselves - moving quickly at high altitudes between different places and weather patterns is probably going to make a Castform kind of sick and out of sorts.

Pokeball locking, enforcing Everstone use, or having specific regulations about what Pokémon can go on flights and what can’t. Those could be feasible solutions but would also require a lot of overhead. There’s hundreds of different Pokemon, the average flight holds about 200 people, every single person could carry up to 6 pokemon with them. That’s a LOT of SOPs and guidelines to write, a lot of things to check, potentially a lot of things for passengers to get done (I didn’t consider this at the time because it was pre-Scarvio, but Everstones can only be bought in ScarVio at 3000 yen a pop - otherwise they have to be found in the wild. That’s an expensive and annoying thing to source for either passengers or the airline).

The most effective solution - short of forcing everyone to put their pokemon in boxes to get on the other end (and box software varies by region potentially causing complication, a lot of people would really resist this, etc), is just to securely hold all Pokémon in the same way apart from the human passengera until the end of the flight.

In conclusion: never think I didn’t excessively think about the implications of Pokemon air travel in my gay fanfic. I am insane and I did.

Wonderful translations of the pokemon into human designs! I love that blaziken's hair (?) / feathers become braids. And her trousers with the wide cuffs evoke blaziken's leg fluff.

With snorlax, her earphones are the triangular shape! And she's got a sporty hoodie and shorts!

I have no idea what's happening (a godly patron giving Lisia power and changing her?). The art and the design are amazing. I love all the pictures. The first one emaluates those specific Greek amphores, in this case of an important figure (Lisia) it seems.

In the second are two drawings. One a sketch, the other shaded and colored. I think sea foam is wafting around her hair? It has the color of some places in the ocean, as does the darker blue of her hairwrap. I love her subtle make-up of gold above her eyes, it fits well with the blue of her eyes and the brown of her skin. The same goes for the pin in her ears above the earrings. It might seem to be a casual outfit compared to the one in the top picture?

And in the last picture, we Lisia writing something. The snap-shot quote makes it funny and creates a feeling of dread. Why is she losing her sense of humanity, and why is she smiling if she wrote that? What does she feel behind her smile?

From what I've seen of Drayton, that makes sense. He's a little shit to everybody and probably exhausted even Luca's patience.

Drayton: ( watching Luca be super affectionate with Kieran) Hmmmmm.... didn't our little champ and ex - champ say they were just staying friends? They've been like this for days now.

R.B: Luca and Kieran. They have names. And yes, they're just friends for now. Luca is just like that with everyone.

Drayton: .....Eh? ( Looks at Luca then back at R.B, pointing at himself) He isn't like that with me? Why?

R.B: ( puts down whatever she was working on and looks Drayton right on the eye) ......

Drayton: ......( turns away sheepishly) Yeah, okay, that's fair.

R.B: ( goes back to working) Glad we have come to an understanding.

Oohh! This is a compelling dynamic for R.B. and some of her Pokemon! Taking in the bullies and teaching them they can have support and friends. She's giving them back the patience and compassion people at Naranja Uva have given her.

R.B and Miraidon is very interesting bc what I have in mind is that Miraidon is genuinely an ass. It thinks it's better the other pokemon, even when it lost to Luca and Buddy ( Koraidon). And before R.B catches the thing it was very violent and really bruised up R.B and her team. But they also got bruised in that fight, so in a way they somewhat respect her for it. Still, its own ego makes it pushes other members of the team away, which then leads to the budding of heads ( Mercy in particular).

It takes a while for Miraidon to even listen to R.B ( she isn't someone who is interested as interested in pokemon battles like Luca or Nemona, so why bother),but I don't think R.B gives up on it. I think she gathers all her patience on showing it that it doesn't need to be alone on its thrown. And more importantly, it doesn't need to be an asshole all the time ( maybe this is why she's particularly peeved with Kieran. She spent most of her patience with Miraidon lol).

All of this is to say that I think Miraidon and R.B is an interesting dynamic. I'm also realizing that her ( possibly) getting Pecharunt means that she tends to gravitate towards The Bullies and ultimately trying to show them there's a different, better, path. Kinda like how going to Naranja Uva academy showed her that she isn't the thing that people saw her as. I dunno. I think it's sweet. It also helps that both pokemon are purple lol.

I can hear the ocean in this picture, Hau's laughter, Raichu's snoring, and the creaking of wood. A flowing, soft design really fits Nessa well. The flares like petals and the soft petal colors suit her. She looks beautiful. <3

Nessa my beloved <3 made that sketch at the tail-end of last year and some days ago I finally finished it! I am so proud of the nacre effect on the dress, which was inspired by female Frillish and Jellicent. In general, I like this drawing, and I wanna draw Nessa in other cute Pokémon inspired outfits now. Also I decided to feature a shiny Luvdisc and 2 Finneon because they are always so forgotten.
