thinking a lot about noel gruber.

he died in his school uniform, hair gelled back and hiding his painted fingernails. dialing it back just like exactly how his mother wanted him to. how the whole world wanted him to. his final song was a joke. no one ever knew the real noel gruber. the one that had to hide himself for safety in this small town. the one so lonely he built a fantasy life for himself in the tragedy of old cinema. stories of beautiful women being truly, authentically, devastatingly themselves. something he could never get the chance to be.
