I was going to do watercolor shading on it, but then I freaked out. I haven't tried watercolor shading before and I need to practice it on something I'm less invested in because, again, Mommy took a lot of hours.
I just had a hilariously terrible experience with Facebook support when trying to monetize my page and I'm feeling salty about it, so I'll share it here for lols. I left off my initial request (which was limited to 200 characters so I tried to explain with no punctuation and it was nonsense) and I also left off the first response which was automated. It was a long and had nothing to do with my issue at all, of course, hence my reply (the first screenshot).
I try not to be too awful to any sort of customer service humans because I worked in customer service for so long and hated the customers because they were awful (I got d3ath threats working in tech support so that was wild), but this was just so so bad. At least I'm funny while I'm mad and I didn't threaten to unalive anyone over this?
Please, enjoy.
p.s. I also tried this on a second PC for good measure. Firefox and Edge again. Same problem. No monetized page for me! Just a regular old page!
Today I finished my owlbear! It's a little croocked and the sewing could be better (and it doesn't really show it the photo but it suffered a bad case of different dye lots for the yarn I used for the body) but I love him!

“oh I’m too old for stuffed animals” skill issue. sorry you can’t appreciate little creatures made to hang out with you, I on the other hand am full of joyous whimsy and therefore vastly superior.
Shes finished!! She makes my bed look like it's a twin, it's not. Its a queen. But she's done!! And it's only January 1, 2024!!!
Honestly not to get too poetic or emotional, but this project is such a testimony to survival for me. With as much as I struggled this year with my mental health, it's kind of nice to have this tactile reminder that I made it. Look: all of those hard days are here. They're strung together with all of the good days to make something absolutely beautiful. And besides that? I can't even pick out which ones were the bad days. In the grand scheme of things,, they all come together. And I made it. I made this beautiful thing, I made it through this year. And so did you ❤
With that: Happy New Year! Happy 2024! Take it in your stride, and know that you can do this.
Do you NOT want to keep your beverages hot or cold? Do you want your ice to melt?!
Do you want a drink tumbler that cannot even hold liquid?? THE LID DOES NOT COME OFF AND THE STRAW DOES NOT WORK. Also, it is full of polyester!
Would you rather CUDDLE your cup??? IT WILL NEVER SPILL NOT ONE DROP UPON YOU AS YOU CLUTCH IT TO YOUR BREAST!
It will probably most definitely COMPLETELY DISINTEGRATE in a car fire! I will NOT buy you a new car!
