She was sitting at the kitchen table, a glass of water in her hands. She did not drink it.

They stood in the doorway, arms crossed. “It’s three in the morning. Why are you up?”

She didn’t raise her eyes, instead sighing, “It’s 2:57. I could ask the same of you.”

They sat down. “How are you feeling?”

She looked at her hands. “My nail polish is chipped.”

“So?”

“It’s chipped,” she repeated, turning her hands so they could see. “I could go over it, with another layer of polish. Try to even it out. It would look ok from a distance. But if you were to run your finger over it, you’d feel a little bump. You’d know where the old polish stops and the new polish starts.” Her voice was casual and her eyes stayed down.

“I think,” she continued, “It would be better, to remove the nail polish entirely. Clean slate. I don’t want to look at them like this.”

They tilted their head, considering. “I don’t know. I kind of like the chipped polish look. It’s says you’ve been places, you do things. It shows you’ve got experience in the world.”

She finally met their gaze. “I think you should keep them like that. It might grow on you.” They stood to leave.

She looked down again, the hint of a smile on her lips, and took a sip of her water.

villain gets a power up (curtesy of assistant) in the form of a suit that she can use to fight hero face to face

im thinking like doc ock type extendo arms, powered by an amethyst core to weaken hero

it looks really cool in my head but i dont know how to describe it without saying "doc ock extendo arms"

ok so i have two ways i can go with this. 2 seasons w/ 10 eps (pros: lots of room for filler/plot, easy to place finales; cons: cant think of enough eps) OR 1 season w/ 10 eps (pros: i have almost all the eps thought out; cons: not a lot of room for more plot/filler if i think of more later)

Hmm possibility: heros blocked out memories of cassie. Like she just dosent remember her at all (cause yknow, id assume itd be very traumatizing to accidently kill someone). It’d make the S1 finale very dramatic when villain brings it up

because i cant write things in order, here is the last few minutes of a flash back episode! mostly Hero pov with some Villain thrown in at the end.

ideally this would be a second/third to last episode, just before the final showdown

the flashback takes place 4-5 years before the show and the ages are as follows: delilah/hero- 17, elmira/villain-15, cassie-12, aiden/assistant-15

Delilah picking Cassie up after school. She leans out the car window to greet her sister. The sky is cloudy but Cassie has an ever-present smile on her face.

DELILAH: Hey, kid! How was school today?

While answering, Cassie hops into the passenger seat

CASSIE: Oh you would not believe it. I was talking to Devin and he said-

Cassie’s voice slowly fades out to a low buzz as Delilah begins to drive. She yawns, blinking slowly. She is clearly too tired to be driving. A light rain begins to fall.

CASSIE: -lilah? Delilah!

DELILAH: Huh? Right. Yes, sorry. You were saying?

CASSIE: Have you been listening to anything I said?

DELILAH,(sheepishly): Something about Devin?

CASSIE,(concerned): Are you feeling ok?

DELILAH: Im fine, Cass, just a little tired is all.

She flashes Cassie a grin but Cassie looks unconvinced. Nevertheless she continues to yammer about her day. Her voice once again turns to a buzz and the rain grows heavier. We slowly zoom in on Delilah’s face as her head nods down. She jerks it back up, reminding herself to stay awake. After a moment she yawns and her head begins to travel back down. Suddenly:

CASSIE: Car!!

Screen Goes black. Screech+Collision

No dialogue. Delilah stands outside their home. Elmira opens the door and looks at her, confused. Delilah sobs. Cut to inside the house. Delilah sits at the table, speaking, her head in her hands. Although we can’t hear, it’s clearly emotional. Their mother cries into their fathers shoulder. Elmira stares at Delilah, shocked. She backs away slowly before turning on her heels and running out of the room. We see the front door slam behind her.

End flashback~

Villain is in her lair, in bed. Tears stain her face. She’s on her side, facing a wall. Assistant enters.

ASSISTANT: Elmira? It's time.

VILLAIN: Right.

Assistant leaves. Villain rolls over and sits on the edge of her bed. Back to the camera, she rubs her eyes, stands and smooths her dress. cut to facing Villain. Her face is a determined frown. Fade to black. Just when you think credits will roll:

Lightning cracks, lighting up a rain-soaked flashback!Elmira, standing outside a plain-looking house. She knocks twice then pauses. She wipes her eyes, then knocks again. She raises her hand to try a third time when the door swings open. Aiden stands in the doorway, disheveled and clearly pulled from their bed.

AIDEN: Do you have any idea what time it is? I just put my brother to sleep, if you wake him up so help me god, I’ll- Oh. Elmira?

Elmira looks up at them, her wet hair plastered to her forehead, looking appropriately pathetic. A sob wracks her body as she hugs herself tightly. Wordlessly Aiden steps aside to let her in.

ok so i was planning on villain/assistant being endgame but ive been thinking about them and maybe theres more than meets the eye.

Elmira and Aiden were friends before becoming Villain and Assistant. Aiden was cold and calculating, they bonded over a shared love of math and science. Aiden was the only one who was Elmira's genuine friend, not trying to use her to get closer to Delilah.

Aiden had always been the more destructive of the two. Elmira, for the most part, had fun getting in trouble with them but would stop them if they went too far.

When Elmira found out her little sister was dead*, she went to Aiden's house. There, Aiden suggested becoming Villain (with, of course, an Assistant by her side).

from there they would push villain little by little. small scale crimes turned to bank robbery, turned to blowing up buildings without a second thought.

this last part isnt 100% canon (yet) but what if in the final showdown when Villain has Hero in her sights and is preparing the final blow, Assistant is egging her on. and when Villain inevitably spares Hero, they freak out. "if you wont kill her I will"

depends on weather i want to redeem them or not

*ik ive mentioned it here before but if you dont want to scroll back: hero and villain had a third sister, maybe named cassie, whom villain was close with. after a fatal car accident, villain blames hero for her death.

hello please accept my humble offering of the first two pages of a would-be piolet episode (written in script format)

Open in a busy bank. Lots of people lined up, bank tellers and customers making small talk. Suddenly a loud crash is heard. Heads turn to see a small spherical robot flying in through a hole in the glass door. It stops in the center of the room and large holographic screens are projected out from all sides. On the screens, VILLAIN appears. She is dressed in a black cloak, with most of her face covered in shadow. Only her mouth is visible. She speaks.

VILLAIN: Greetings citizens! From this point forward no one is allowed to move. My delightful little robot is equipped with motion sensors. If any of you move it will explode, which would be a real shame for anyone trapped in a room with it.

As VILLAIN speaks, the camera pans around to the people inside the back who are standing still as stone with the exception of their faces. Their expressions get more fearful by the minute. More robots fly in. For a moment we see things through the eye of the first bot, it scans the newcomers and detimins them as friendly.

VILLAIN: My bots will empty the vault within ten minutes and you will all be free to go about your lives. So long as no one moves. Have fun!

The screen blinks out. Cut to VILLAIN’s lair. A dark room, designed to look like a cave. At one end, VILLAIN sits in front of a large computer screen. She throws her hood back, laughing. She leans back in her throne-like chair and spins around to face ASSISTANT, who is holding a tablet.

VILLAIN: How was that? Great, right?

ASSISTANT: Evilness was up 10% since last week's bank robbery. I calculate an 89% chance of success.

VILLAIN: That's what I like to hear! I'm the best. You're the best. I love winning.

ASSISTANT blushes but VILLAIN does not see. Behind them the screen starts to blare an alarm with a large red exclamation point flashing. VILLAIN sighs and turns around.

VILLAIN: Goddammit. What now?

With the push of a few buttons, a window pops up with security camera footage of the bank. A light pink blur can be seen whizzing around. Switching cameras, VILLAIN sees a pile of her robots in the corner.

VILLAIN: Are you kidding me!?

Zoom in on the screen until the camera is inside the bank. HERO is zipping around, too fast for the motion sensors to detect her. Once the other robots have been taken care of she grabs the 1st one and flies it offscreen. Que explosion and crown cheering. HERO flies back inside.

HERO: Don't worry friends! As long as I'm here you needn't fear Villain or any of her evil robots! I’ll always be around to save the day!

Hero beams. The crowd cheers, chanting her name. Fade out until we're back in VILLAIN's lair watching the screen. VILLAIN angrily slams a button, causing the screen to go black. She slumps down, face smushed into the keyboard.

VILLAIN(muffled): why does she have to ruin everything?

ASSISTANT opens their mouth to respond but VILLAIN cuts them off, now sitting up

VILLAIN: I mean, god, doesn't she know how expensive these robots are? It's insensitive, really. And she calls herself a hero.

VILLAIN scoffs

ASSISTANT: It's hard to believe you guys are related.

VILLAIN: You're telling me. She's so…

ASSISTANT: Excessive?

VILLAIN: Annoying.
