Writing Prompt #5
A. What were some of your considerations?
I wanted to consider how the brand identity of Pokemon is viewed by consumers. With that I did not change the logo typeface in order to keep the nostalgic value of when you see it. As for the packaging I considered how the cards were being protected and changed the original plastic packaging which was more prone to ripping and tearing into a box made of sturdier materials.
B. What were your pulls?
My direction was more towards personal and familiar design. It moves in a better direction for sustainability. More effort was put into the consumers needs and how we can make the product more memorable and not just something we throw away after getting the product. Overall making a product that strays away from the mystery packaging that many other companies use.

Writing Prompt #4
In what ways can personality tests be used to identify and define our demographics?
It can help with the grouping of certain ways people approach things. Using it to identify certain traits will define what users want or care for. Having different personalities can both be beneficial and detrimental towards achieving certain goals.
How can we generate information that helps designers make decisions for their target demographics?
By creating different personas for the target audience. Using a variety of metrics can also generate information needed for designers to pick the right fonts, shapes, colors etc.
Can personality types be used as an accountable indicator equivalent to common indicators such as age, income, and education? Why or why not?
I'm not that educated on personality types and how it plays into personal and professional life. I would say that we are very different people when we are at work than at home. Our personalities can change based on the certain situations we are put it but age, income and education/skillset are different.
How can we use it in the design industry?
I don't have the experience or know enough to say wether or not knowing personality types can benefit an industry but maybe experimenting with how certain personalities collaborate could potentially bring upon different unique workflows that we could not have anticipated before.

Writing Prompt 3
I think packaging these foods together are marketing them is a great way to reduce food waste. So much food is wasted just because of how it looks or feels even though they are perfectly safe to consume. We waste so much food and it would be great if we could find a way to provide these things at a lower cost for people out there that simply don't have access to them or cannot afford to purchase them. I don't think making a profit on these sorts of things is ethical since so many people around the world are starving. These things that are so abundant and don't need very technical things to produce. Creating a non profit would be great for something like this, to scale it up and be able to provide this to places elsewhere where it is needed would be a great use of this idea. The advertisements show how they are still edible and safe to consume, maybe creating an ad using two different fruits and showing the same outcome.
Which strategy did you like the most initially?
I liked the first strategy the most because they weren't trying to change it into something else/make it into a profitable item like a bag of chips. Knowing the undersides of the strategies fuels my belief that many of these companies are just trying to make a profit out of people. The importance of transparency between the consumer and the company is I think one of the most important things when building reputation. If we knew the thought process of why certain things are advertised as they are, we would make better choices.
Would knowing more (the problem from a systemic level) change your thoughts about the solution?
How do the existing solutions feed into the system? Do they fit well?
If not, what changes are needed first and foremost?
I touched on this a little bit before on how transparency is a big part in how things are run. There are already a lot of solutions in place that don't see the funding and are crowded by these bigger companies. Weeding out these companies will help make it more convenient for people. This idea that these foods should cost more is something that needs to change as well.
What strategy would you use?
Upper level - Novelty Strategy? Or the more intimate-surface level Familiarity Strategy?
Think (M.A.Y.A - Most Advanced yet Acceptable)
I would use the familiarity strategy because it has more of a stimulating emotional effect, it's based on experience. It is more comforting.
What are some ways you can nudge people to think about the following issues in the marketplace? (To help reduce food being wasted due to cosmetic imperfections)
     To Accept Imperfectness
To increase Awareness of inequality in our society
Support the new, more environmentally sustainable agricultural system
Show the data
be transparent about practices
Show how it can and is used the same as any other
Have people blind taste test to show how its no different

Writing Prompt 2
When I think about unboxing video/unboxing in person is that is brings a sense of clarity and fulfills something that I feel like is missing. Being able to rip off the tape, cut open the box, or peel off the plastic off of a new iPhone box is something that brings me and many others a boost of dopamine. When relating it to other forms of "therapy" I think of reaction videos and how people spend their days watching other people reacting to the same shows or movies they have just seen or are watching. I do this and it brings me a sense of collaboration, being able to confirm my thinking or see others enjoy things I like to enjoy brings happiness and fulfillment to my day. A quote from the reading that I think matches with this is "an experience is when our interactions with people and our surroundings reach a conclusion that is satisfying." We seek a conclusion, to watch a show or to not, to get a certain product because it's good or not, or going to a restaurant based on the appeal and design of it. All these designs around us influence our interactions and will determine wether or not we decided to spend time on them. To represent these things in a more meaningful way I would try and create more user interactive designs. For example having more opportunities and insight into the more technical side of things. Being able to physically see what goes on behind the scenes, and the processes these people go through to create the designs we all spend so much time on. Being digital isn't necessarily bad, I just think everything nowadays is so face valued. The same content being posted by different people. Having a new viewpoint can create a better understanding and connection to people out there is what I think could make it more meaningful. Some things I can think about are, directors cut in a movie, or behind the scenes of a production. This is why I think reviews are much more meaningful than someone unboxing something.

Writing Prompt 1
The three worlds I would choose would be Music, gaming, and sports.
Everyday it seems like I'm constantly looking for new music and playlists to explore on Spotify. I consume music for most of my day and it wouldn't feel like a normal day without it. Most days I end up doing the same routine, but when I decide to turn on my computer and fire up a game it takes my day and turns it into something new. I get to experience new worlds within my game, talk to friends, and be able to dive deeper into my imagination. The same thing can be said about Music and Sports. Sure I watch the same team play, at the same time, everysingle day, but the outcomes are always different and It always keeps me engaged and excited to see how far and where my favorite teams can go and accomplish. Watching the World Cup for example was a world that we only get to experience every 4 years, a world I wish existed more.
