You bring him a tool that’s vaguely shaped like a slot he needs to open.

You bring it to him, he looks at it, he looks at the slot, he looks at you, back at the slot, then pretends to use it. He pats you on the head and goes back to work with you non the wiser.

You are excited so you bring him more stuff. Some helps, most don’t.

Maybe one day he will teach you how to properly use these things. Maybe one day you’ll become an epic space mechanic, but right now you were just a happy little golden retriever just excited to be there.

I think the only person I've met in real life with 100% career satisfaction was this gal I knew who was a presenter at a children's science museum and delivered every line like she was running a WWE match. Every time you passed the room where she was giving a presentation, you'd hear something like "WHO'S READY FOR CEPHALOPODS?!?" and the kids would go absolutely nuts cheering.

It doesn’t matter if everyone experiences it or if not everyone experiences it. If you are in pain you deserve treatment :/ so regardless if it’s normal or not it’s not a reason to blow it off. I hate this mentality because my own mom did this and I wasn’t able to get help until I told her that my councilor thought I had schizophrenia, because her own insane bias against schizophrenics made her think I was a genuine hazard despite living with it perfectly fine my whole life. It was depression I needed help with. I struggled alone to learn how to live with a psychotic disorder. I succeeded. the means of my success were unfortunate but I did it. I asked for help for depression and I was met with indifference.

Literally ok so y’all might know but I do animation and like, all of my animation friends said the only reason you should use ai is if the ai is using YOUR art to help YOU. So for example, if you want to turn your film from 24 fps to 60 using ai to create inbetweening would be helpful. We did also have a discussion how it can make it look a little strange but i digress. Regardless. I wish I had money because I would have ordered canopy’s and umbrellas for everyone who had to stand in the sun due to the butchering of the trees.

I want the writer’s strike to last until they get everything they demand and more. I want the SAG strike to last until AI is entirely forbidden across the board in the entire industry. I want CGI artists to unionize and strike. I want animators to strike. I want composers and directors and designers and VAs and techies and producers and stage hands and game devs and programmers and recording artists to strike.

I want every aspect of the entertainment industry brought to a grinding halt for months or even years to take it from the corps and put it back in the hands of the artists.

I’m an animator and I’d kill for an opportunity to create this. Honestly fuck it why not just take it into our own hands like the warrior cats fandom did?? There’s a lot of talented artists in this small fandom. I might make some small stuff for fun later

I am so infuriated at the missed potential and opportunity for the AVP franchise!!!

We already had Dan Trachtenberg’s Prey to show us how successful this concept can be if delivered perfectly. And now they had an animated show in production that was cancelled. AN ANIMATED SERIES COME ON!!

It would have fit so well for the AvP aesthetic and action scenes. It would also give the opportunity to expand more of their lore. Shouldn’t that be the goal? Its what the animated Clone Wars and Star Wars:Visions is doing for the Star Wars Franchise!! Do they even want to make films anymore at this point??

I am just disappointed on and on at the current decisions that Disney is doing- Shelving and cancelling shows before they even see the light of day, not giving proper environment for their writers and CGI/VFX artists to be able to create and craft a well-written story.

They’re not making films for the audience or making films for Art’s sake anymore. Its all CAPITALISM now.

I just hope with every fire in my heart that the AVPverse gets out of Disney’s greedy hands and in the hands of a Studio that would LOVE and care for its universe, respect its characters-

Give us a unique Yautja that loves art! And is amused when he sees some paintings in Paris or hears an opera house on his first hunt on Earth!

Give us an animated episode of a Yautja on a hunt for Bad Bloods during Edo Period Japan!

Show us Yautja brothers in the beginning of their training and how they learn the values of an honorable hunter!

Take us to their homeworld, give us an aspiring Yautja matriarch who is eager to learn about their culture and their history with the Xenomorphs!

I just wish someone with the power and money would give so much love to this franchise because there is so much to tell and expand!

Not to be political on main but our gov just passed a law saying companies no longer have to require water breaks and it can get up to 120°f where I live :) and I literally had a heat stroke the other day so I’m straight up not having a good time.

It’s actually not the first heat stroke I’ve had and because of how insanely unaffordable medical care is and insurance I can’t go see a doctor when it happens. I hate my country and I hate my governor. I hope he has a fucking heat stroke and doesn’t have access to medical care when it happens.

My tiny ass can’t handle this heat dude. I was born and raised here don’t listen to locals who make fun of people who can’t handle hot weather. The heat is not a joke and shouldn’t be taken lightly.
