All the reports coming from Rafah from the early hours of April 29 are literally identical: "Israel targeted the house of [family name]"

The same title, over and over again.

All within a couple of hours last night, three family homes in Rafah have been struck, killing at least 20, the majority of whom are women and children.

THIS MORNING: one of our comrades from emory university that was arrested shared her experience, and what she saw her 22 other comrades experience, while in dekalb county jail. our comrades were subjected to racism, not given water for 12 hours despite vocalizing the water fountain didn't work, and silenced during court appearances.

on the topic of tama/utsuro comparisons.. if theyre both emptiness then one would be a holes desire to be filled while the other is a holes desire to grow larger. either destroy the hole by filling it up or by making everything else empty too

hahaHAHAHAHA are we going to talk about that which resembles the grave but isn’t? (maybe gintama is about being put in holes)

in terms of... hole, i think of tama as a treasure chest hole! she is the story itself, personified because why not because personhood is the highest form of being. a metanarrative character, if you will. everyone's treasures (mostly memories) are welcome to be buried, the ground will guard it and bear it and remember it all until others dig it up in future eras and different stories. and that's why kintoki arc and tamako (and shinpachi being tamako's father!) happened the way they happened, at least in my interpretation.

utsuro, my guy. my dude. he is a black hole. not a hungry mouth but an empty place. a neutron star that kept falling inside itself until it broke down everything that can exist, time and space, everything. who was it who said that gintama is about character restoration and not development? that's true about shoyo-utsuro too, he goes back to being a star in the end...

the reason why utsuro didn't lose his vision here is that this has been his point of view to begin with. if you take something from emptiness (eg eyeballs or dignity or power or authority) it just becomes emptier. again the black and white medium is perfect to communicate that this is blood, but also the emptiness pouring out. two gates into a hole that unmakes those who enter it
