About the Writers
Meet the writers behind the words!
Nurmina Abdul
Nurmina is a creative writing student at UP Mindanao who likes reading poems and short fiction as much as she likes pineapple on pizza.
Laurie Valdez
Laurie Valdez is a Creative Writing student at the University of the Philippines Mindanao. She loves to read sappy romance and high fantasy novels to escape reality.
Kyle Yunting
Kyle is a 22-year-old writer from Zamboanga del Sur. She grew up reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series by Rick Riordan, and still considers it the peak of children’s literature (she is, however, open to friendly debate on this). Her main genre is usually young adult fiction, and finds writing for a younger audience challenging but fulfilling.
She has a dog named Percy. Because of course.
Gia Diuda
Gia Diuda is an aspiring young writer hailing from Tagum City, Davao del Norte. She is currently a third year BA English (Creative Writing) student in UP Mindanao. She is a fur mom with 5 cats and 4 dogs.
Yra Ybañez
Yra, twenty-one, comes from Maragusan, Davao de Oro. She is currently a third year student of the BA English (Creative Writing) Program of UP Mindanao.
