hello, i’ve seen a lot of your advice using your little as example and you give fantastic advice so i need a bit of help.

My little has a rule of “say something good about yourself every day and telling me what they are.” Despite us both agreeing on all our rules, she seems to struggle with it. She struggles with it and always thinks negativity about herself causing herself to be upset, i try and try with her; telling her the amazing qualities about her but it sometimes does not work?

If you don’t mind me asking; Do you have a way of helping your little feel good about herself? Do you have this rule and does it work and how? Does your little have this problem too?- i have spoken to a few caregivers and they have this situation too.

All i want is for her to feel beautiful

Hey hey! We don't use that rule and I don't think it is needed but I like it though! I think it is a good rule. Sometimes my little feels a bit bad about herself too but it is not that often and when she has it I cant do much about it I guess.

Your little might know you think she's beautiful but she does not feel like it herself? It is not about your opinion but what's going on inside her mind. Maybe you can try to focus on something else? Keep being positive but don't talk about her, talk about stuff she likes. If that cheers her up and her moods gets better, the chance gets bigger she will be positive about herself too. 🐻💜

Now the advice my little gives: (this is the short version so this answer does not get too long😋) What might helps is to remind her about nice things at random times, not just when she is feeling sad or insecure. Also when you say ''my'' in front of everything. So don't say ''pretty girl'' but say ''my pretty girl'' That means a lot!

And also with the “qualities” thing- using things like her comfort characters, fave princess with the quality like- “pretty eyes like cinderella, “hair like rapunzel”- things we like and hearing that our qualities are like theirs help so much.
