Crier’s War Review
Tumblr media
Honestly this book had me filled with a lot of different emotions. It was quite slow in the the first 200 pages but got more intriguing in the next 200 or so. Female to female romance which made the book all the more better to read. WHAT I LIKED I liked when Crier never gave up on her emotions in the book and on how her and Ayla's relationship grew through trust and comfort. I loved how NINA VARELA added in historical references from the timeline of this world, it gave you more knowledge of the past and how everything turned out to be today. I also like how the author used the differences between Automaes and Humans to create chaos and to make the story come to life. I also like the female to female romance which is amazing to read about. WHAT I DID NOT LIKE I did not like the first 200 pages of this novel as it was quite slow paced and there was nothing really happening. I also did not like how the characters were not really smart on what they were going to do and how there was only a little character development. I was also hoping for more of a romance between Crier and Ayla but to my disappointment there was barely none expect for one scene were they both just kissed but Ayla did not really like it and she regretted it. CRIER Crier is the sovereign's Made daughter (Hesod) who is treated and looked at almost like a princess or a delicate object. She was a very interesting character to read and I did feel mixed emotions from her as most of the time she doesn't think properly and she is easily tricked by people she thinks she can trust. But for most of the part she was an amazing character to read: as you step into her shoes you almost feel her loneliness and longing to find that light at the end of the road. I also loved the stories she would tell Ayla which included life lessons that maybe we should know and apply to our lives. AYLA Ayla was my second favourite character in this book because as she talks about her tragic past and how she wants to get revenge it makes you want to find out if she is successful or not. Ayla is a human servant rising in the ranks at the house of Hesod's, she has dreams to get revenge for her family because the Automaes had killed them and ruined her life- she is willing to kill the sovereign's daughter Crier to complete her revenge. I loved how attracted and how quick she was able to kind of trust Crier. I also loved her determination that kept on pushing her to complete her goal. KINOK Kinok was my favourite character in this whole book (even though he is the villain ). Kinok the Scyre (who is the leader of the Anti-Reliance Movement|). You see, there is not much information on him which is why it made him interesting. He had a hint of mystery that created suspense which made me want to carry on reading. Even though he may be bad and all he was my favourite character as he had that snarky humorous kind of personality that I really enjoyed. Overall this book was a success and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a little mystery, thriller and so on. But I did go into the book thinking there was going to be romance but I was wrong so this may not fit your liking. I also cannot wait to read Iron Heart (the second and final book in this duology).

Daughter Of The Pirate King Review
Tumblr media
I loved this book, the concept in this book was amazing. It was truly fascinating, I kept reading and had no idea of time flying by. I really enjoyed Tricia Levenseller's writing style in this book. This was an incredible read and cannot wait to read Daughter Of the Siren Queen. WHAT I LIKED (LOVED) What I really liked about this book would have to be the characters and the plot in this book. It was kind of predictable but it was fun in that aspect. I loved how even though, some of Draxen's crew were evil and sought, there were some crew members who were kind-hearted and funny throughout the whole book. I loved Alosa and Riden's little romance. I really enjoyed it as it really made me like them even more because they were always there for each other which was really inspiring to see. WHAT I DID NOT LIKE I probably would say how most of the men (not all) were just looking down on women (saying they are only good at seducing men) in general that really infuriated me because women are more than dresses and makeup. The ending was a bit rushed, which I did not really enjoy but overall it was a good read. ALOSA I really enjoyed Also's character. I love seeing things in her perspective. I felt deeply connected with her an I think it was because she was alone growing up and she was treated horrendously by her Father (who she thinks loves her dearly, but I honestly think he is just using her) which really angered me because she has scars all over her body which is a lasting effect mentally and physically. What really surprised me was that (view spoiler). I really loved that even if her mind was telling her she doesn't care about Riden, her actions clearly showed it. I can't wait to see how her story ends in the next book. RIDEN I really liked Riden in this book. He was mysterious, sexy, caring/loving and all that stuff. He was always protecting Alosa even if she was an enemy. I also really loved his banter with Alosa because it was just fun to watch them arguing then kissing then arguing then kissing and so on. They really are a match and can't wait see how their story ends. Overall Riden was sone of my favourite characters because he went through so much pain but stayed strong no matter what. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was a phenomenal first read of 2021. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy, romance, a bit of mystery and action. Cannot wait to read the second and final book in this duology. Loved Tricia Levenseller's writing and can't wait to read more of it.

House Of Earth And Blood Review
Tumblr media
I'm speechless. I'm torn. I'm ecstatic. I'm crying and on the verge of dying. This book broke me into pieces. WHAT I LIKED (LOVED) I loved every aspect in this book. Every page, Every paragraph, Every sentence, Every word, I loved. This book was truly and utterly amazing. I loved the characters in this book, BRYCE, HUNT, DANIKA, RUHN, CONNER, LEHABAH, SYRINX, HYPAXIA, FURY, AND ETC. I loved the character development in this book as well as the emotive language that pulls you into this book and tears you into pieces. The beginning was hard to take as there was a lot of information to take in but after about 100 pages everything was just as I had imagined. I flew through this book so quick that I did not even realise the hours passing by. I loved the plot in this book as it left you curious and hungry to find out how all of this would end. The cliffhangers and the shocking info that has been given to you at the end of every chapter made me love this book even more because it just created a spark of something inside of me that forced me to read on no matter the shock or pain that the chapters have left you in. I also loved the friendships, romances, the family bonds and everything in this book. WHAT I DID NOT LIKE (HATED) I hated/disliked a little things in this book and it has got nothing to do with Sarah's writing but some of the characters that just made me so angry that I was fuming. THE AUTUMN KING: He treated Bryce as if she was shit (but the part were he saw that Bryce was more powerful than him made me laugh). SABINE: I don't hate her, I just don't like her. This is because she blamed Bryce for Danika's death just because she was a "whore" and a party girl. Like WTF. Sabine hated her daughter, I just don't understand. Like get your shit together. MICAH: I hated this guy. Pure hatred ran through me even just hearing his name. First of all he nearly killed Bryce, Number 2 he fricking killed Danika, Number 3 he just simply was an asshole to me, like I was so glad when Bryce killed him. I felt no sorrow as the devil himself deserved the pain and that gruesome death Bryce released on him. SANDRIEL: How dare she try to capture/kill Bryce. I hated her just as much as Micah because she put so much pain into Hunt's life and she was just horrible. BRYCE I loved Bryce. She has got to be one of my favourite characters that Sarah. J. Maas has created. I loved her bad-ass character as well as the sweet, innocent girl you come to know later into the book. I read/watched her grew up from a person who does not give a damn about life in general to a matured (a little) grown women who does not fear life and anything that comes in her way. She grows stronger and more independent throughout the book. She is willing to save the one's she loves and she is willing to give them a happy ending. She always thinks for others instead of her which made me love Bryce so much. When we found out that she has the Starborn gift I was so shocked as well as happy as she used the gift to save basically the whole word from sinister devils that leaped from the pit of Hel. I loved how she never gave on Hunt or anyone who was close to her. HUNT Hunt was a bae in this book. I loved him so much. I loved how he had not a single bit of love in his heart but later on as he spends his time with Bryce he realises the love he has and how beautiful is feels. I loved his snarky comments that were humorous as it just lightened up my mood. I loved how he sacrificed his life for Bryce. Like when he covered Bryce from the missile so that she could live it broke my heart that he was literally shredded into pieces. But thank god he lived. And also when he lied about all those thing to Bryce it broke me and I was just like why, don't you dare do this to me Hunt. SYRINX AND LEHABAH I loved them two so much, loved Syrinx's smart brain and attitude as well as it's cute appearance in this book. When he lived after he drowned I was literal crying because... you know why if you read the book. Lehabah was on a whole new level for me. I loved how shy she got when she saw hot males around or when she was praised and when people gave her kind comments. But when she sacrificed her life for Bryce, Danika and everyone she cared about, when she died I literally died. My heart broke. I will never forget her as she played a big role in this book and placed a special place in my heart. DANIKA Loved Danika as a whole. Loved how she protected Bryce through all dangers and loved how she appeared at the end for Bryce's anchor. Loved everything about her and was so upset and heartbroken when she dies as she was so special to me. Loved how she motivated Bryce to live for those who care and love for her. RUHN Loved how he cared and treasured Bryce since the day he met her. Loved how he was possessive and protective over Bryce. Loved their sibling relationship as they were so connected and protected each other no matter how dangerous the cause was. BRYCE AND HUNT Loved their relationship since the beginning. How they were enemies (kind of), friends, best friends then lovers. Loved how their relationship bloomed into something phenomenal and beautiful. I loved how they were there for each other no matter what was in their way. I also love the slow-burn romance they had as it was just hot and sexy. It made the book all the more fun. I also loved the part when Bryce washed and clothed Hunt when he was in a bad state, she didn't care about the people he had murdered she just cared about his mental state. BRYCE AND DANIKA I loved the relationship they had. Loved the sisterly bond they had as it was so passionate. I loved how both of them were always there for each other even if Danika was dead. I was so sad when Danika died and Bryce was about to commit suicide but luckily Juniper came as quick as possible. Loved how they both motivated each other and how they looked out for each other. Overall this book was absolutely amazing. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance, mystery, horror (a little) and more. Sarah. J. Maas is so talented and I am so grateful that she has written this book as it has stopped the reading slump I was in. This book has a special place in my heart that I am very grateful for. I love how this book ended and cannot wait for the next book in the CRESCENT CITY series.

I went through so much emotions while reading this book, it always ket you on the edge, waiting, wanting, writhing for more. WHAT I LIKED (LOVED) I loved every aspect in this book. The Plot was a 5/5 for me. The character development and characters in general were a 5/5 for me. I adored every character in this book and will treasure them forever. They have a special place in my heart. I felt so connected to the characters which made me adore them even more. I loved how Kerri added visuals for you to see and understand the deeper meanings whilst also giving you some what clues for you to be able to solve this mystery. I loved how she created such a beautiful atmosphere full of love and care. The thing I loved the most in this book was the ending were AUDREY and THOMAS finally get the happily ever after they have wanted. WHAT I DID NOT LIKE Nothing... But I wished we had more scenes with Mephisto because I adored him in Escaping From Houdini. But I was grateful for his appearance in this book. AUDREY ROSE I literally had a crush on Audrey. I loved her determination to find justice for the people she loved and the people who have suffered from the murders. I loved how no matter what she was always strong and never let her concerns get in the way of her friendships and relationships. In this book you really see Audrey grow into a mature women. She inspires you to become the best you can be in your future and to not let people around you drag you down. She tries her best to comfort the people she loves. I loved how determined she was to create a life with Thomas. THOMAS CRESSWELL I adored Thomas in this book. He was such a baby. I loved how snarky his comments were and how humorous he was as it always lightened up my mood. I loved how protective he was over Audrey. He always wanted to keep her safe from whatever dangers came in their way. I loved how caring and loving he was towards his sister, Audrey and basically everyone. I loved his sexy aura that captivated you to want more of him as you read. I am so glad he gets to live happily with his one and only Audrey Rose. CRESSWORTH Loved their banter in this book, it was utterly charming. I love how they protected each other in dangerous circumstances, they were so invested in their relationship and I am so glad that FINALLY...FINALLY... they are married. I am so happy for them because they went through so much throughout the whole series. Overall the book and the whole series was a success for me. I adored Kerri's writing in this book, it captivated me and made me hungry for more. The suspense that she added in this book left you hanging at the edge of your seat. Kerri has got to be one of my favourite authors ever, this is because of the picture that was painted vividly into my mind as I was reading, I felt as if I was right there with the characters as they solved this mystery. I recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery, thriller, a steamy romance with a little smut. I cannot wait to read KINGDOM OF THE WICKED by Kerri Maniscalco as I just know it will be a hit for me. Thank you Kerri for this phenomenal series as it will always hold a special place in my heart forever.

Escaping From Houdini Review
Tumblr media
This book broke me and moulded me into something new. It was an astonishing read that filled me with joy and sadness. Kerri Maniscalco's writing in this book was phenomenal and beautiful which made the book all the more fun. WHAT I LIKED (LOVED) I adored every bit of this book. It gripped me from the beginning (which allowed me to finish this book in a day which also shows my love towards this splendid book). I loved the plot in this book as it gripped me from the start and made me intrigued to read on and end this book. The love triangle between Audrey Rose, Thomas Cresswell and Mephistopheles in this book brought me to tears. I adored each of these characters and will definitely treasure them forever. Loved the mystery and suspense Kerri brought into this novel and it was eager to find out and solve the mystery on the RMS ETRURIA. WHAT I DID NOT LIKE I wished there were more scenes with Audrey and Thomas but that is the only fault I found. AUDREY ROSE Audrey's character development in this book blew me away. She was so strong and brave and determined to find justice for the tragic victims of the murders. I loved how she cared for her cousin Liza, Thomas and Mephisto and more. She tried her best and hardest not to give up - I loved how she tried not to hurt the ones closet to her...and that scene were she saved Thomas from being near death (stabbed) made me tear up because it showed her love and passion for Thomas and how she would risk anything for Thomas to have a happy future. THOMAS CRESSWELL I loved Thomas in this book. He was such a baby to me. It hurt me so much to see him being hurt. I loved how he wanted the best for Audrey and never wanted to trap her but to give her freedom to live life the way she wanted. I loved how no matter what faults that were in their relationship he believed in Audrey and never let it interfere with the cases that they had to solve. I love his humorous jokes that cracked me up all the time. But it was so sad seeing him want someone to care for him and love him and that was a burden he did not want anyone he cared about to have but luckily Audrey is willing to give Thomas her love to him as he is a key to her life. MEPHISTOPHELES Also known as Mephisto. I loved Mephisto in this book. He made the book all the more interesting. I loved his banter with Audrey and how they connected so much but also loved the ending when they resumed as friends but are still very close from what I can see - they both care for each other a lot - and loved his mysterious aura that made him attractive and sexy. I loved his character in this book and hope to see more of him in the Finale of the series. Overall this book was a success for me. I adored Kerri's writing in this book. The words cascaded along the pages created a vivid dream. I loved how each chapter ended with a cliff-hanger to create suspense that left me at the edge of my seat and made me want more. I recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery, thriller, a steamy love triangle romance and much more. I cannot wait to see how Audrey and Thomas's journey/story end in CAPTURING THE DEVIL... the finale of the Stalking Jack the Ripper series.

Hunting Prince Dracula Review
Tumblr media
This book was absolutely amazing. It was phenomenal and it brought me to tears. Kerri Maniscalco did it. She showed me a new way of living. This book has changed my life, and I am not joking. WHAT I LIKED (LOVED) I loved everything in this book. It gripped me from the beginning, the words filled you with delight and hunger for more. I whizzed through this book due to its essence of mystery, romance, thriller and more. The characters swept me into another world. It was so realistic is was as if I was witnessing everything right in front of me. I loved how Kerri added suspense which mad your heart skip a beat, I loved how she enthralled you with her beautiful writing. WHAT I DID NOT LIKE Nothing... This book was so amazing that there were no faults. AUDREY ROSE I loved Aubrey in this book. She overcame her fears and did not let her anxiety off the tragic scenes from the Jack The Riper case ruin her. You see her grow in this book from a girl into a women. She showed people such as men that looked down at her that women can be much powerful and smarter than them. She inspired me a lot - to not be afraid of my gender and who I am and to try my best and to show people my best. I love how she saw and had a passion for her future with Thomas and how she comforted him and other characters in their darkest moments. I loved her romance with him as it made the story the more intriguing. THOMAS CRESSWELL I loved Thomas as a character. I loved his humour, his jokes as it comforted me as a reader as well as the people he cared about such as Audrey. He truly was amazing in this book. He never gave up on himself and was always there to comfort Audrey in her hardest times. He helped her overcome her fear and helped her to become a better person. I loved how he grew as a character and Kerri displayed that very well in this book. He was a mix of mystery, charm, suspense and more that I could ever imagine. Loved his flirtatious comments towards Audrey. Overall I honestly loved this book, I love how I was eager to solve this mystery with Audrey and Thomas as I read this book. I felt as I was in the story as well. The ending was definitely a huge shock; when everything came together and the mystery was finally solved. I was quite upset to find that Anastasia was the murder and the person guilty for all the murders and wrongdoings. But I didn't hate her that much because she made the story all the fun. I definitely recommend this book as it truly is an amazing read. I love Kerri as an author (by far my most favoured author) and can't wait to read the third book in this series - ESCAPING FROM HOUDINI.

Stalking Jack The Ripper Review
Tumblr media
** spoiler alert ** I loved this book so much. Kerri is an amazing writer. Her writing hooks you into the story that you don't even realise how much time has passed I loved the mystery aspect in this book as it made the book even more interesting and fun to read. My favourite part it the book was how Audrey never gave up and was always willing to find justice for all the deaths. I also loved how Audrey and Thomas grew into something beautiful, I loved Thomas's character as he was always snarky and flirty with Audrey which was worth the read. But the thing that made me soooooooooo emotional was how JACK THE RIPPER WAS NATHANIEL!!! I was so upset because Nathaniel was one of my favourite character as he was always there for Audrey (his sister). Overall I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery and romance.
