          ESPECIALLY AFTER A SPARRING SESSION , goku was very used to just having plopped down to the side as girl his age rambled, gossiped and vented about whatever was going on currently in her own life. while he was clearly paying attention though, it was just as clear that the boy didn't have a lick of understanding about what she was talking about- yukako only ever taking a break in her chattering to take a long swig of water. it was kind of hypnotic in a way, as his visits to morioh were months in between each other, so she always had something to go on and on about.

          THOUGH FOR HIS TRANCE IS SOON BROKEN out of at a question directed towards him, followed up by pointing towards his arm that wasn't there during his last visit to town. ❝ oh this ?? ❞ though all parts of his body were covered in various scars of sizes and shapes, recent and faded- this one in particular was clearly new from it's coloring. it had healed properly, but still very clearly visible. ❝ i got this like half a year ago actually !! think 'bout a'couple days after i left 'ere. while i was sleepin' in the woods i got picked up by this big ol' dino bird an' when i bunched it ta' drop me- i got my arm scrapped ta' hell on some branches on the fall down !! it hurt reeeeal bad, hehe. but it was all good when i patched it up an' ate somethin' ! ❞

          !!!!! HE WAS RIGHT . . . THERE WERE ONLY TWO pork buns left- one for the each of them. eyes immediately shifted over to lord beerus, a couple seats down from the two saiyans as himself and whis were currently stuffing their faces with new sushi flavors they apparently had never tried before. goku could easily grab the pork buns while they were distracted... the only issue being, beerus was closer to them than goku was to them. if the saiyan wasn't both steathly nor quick enough— the god of destruction would surely notice and goku would be helpless in outmatching his superior food-desiring speed. without another moment of hesitation— son goku acted. everything went in slow motion, as he quickly reared his arm over the table, before swiping both buns in his palms in one motion and quickly tossing a second to his fellow saiyan beside him. looking back over he could tell beerus hadn't noticed— the destroyer currently laughing at something whis had stuff before shoving three rolls at once in his gullet as son goku let out a sigh of relief.

Inhale. ❝Kakarot.❞ They were surrounded by delicious food, yes. He understood the distraction, but he was growing irate from being ignored. ❝I'm not going to repeat myself after this. There's only two pork buns left, and you're the closest one. GET THEM before they run out.❞

'cause it's ones i got 'cause of you ! ❞ getting down on the floor, the fellow saiyan would promptly pull off his boots followed by rolling up both of his gi's pants legs. what was there was deep cuts and slightly faded engraving of surgical scars down the entire length of both of his legs. ❝ this was when ya crushed my legs all those years ago !! they had ta' do a ton of surgery on 'em 'cause we ain't have any senzu beans yet. they thought i'd never work again ! hehehe~ but ya know i don't give up that easy ! ❞

           ❝   NOW SEE HERE— ❞ LIFTING UP HIS SHIRT , the tailed man pointed out a long faded but undoubtedly wide girth of huge teeth marks on the side of his toned torso. it looked as if something had bit down hard on his side, yet didn't have the time or strength to pull back and tear a chunk off of him. ❝ i had gotten this one when i was first trainin' with my first master !! we would have ta' swim through shark-infested waters while they chased us. i was real hungry one mornin' so i was tired quick an' a shark caught up ta' me an' it got me real good ! i managed ta' kick it away but my friend krillin was yellin' an' cryin' a whole lot cause i was bleeding a bunch hehe. i was aaaallll woozy-like, it was nuts ! i was fine in like, a day or two though after our friend launch patched me up real good ! ❞

          LETTING OUT A LOUD ' KIAI ' WITH A SHOUT AND a thrust of the fist, the massive boulder in front of his turned to a fine dust without him even making contact with it. a hum to himself, scoping the damage around him of massive piles of dust particles that were once previously rocks surrounding him- occasionally blowing away in the wasteland's wind. ki control was more than just big blast and protecting his body- so there was occasions like this where he would spend re-refining it through these types of shockwaves.

          YET JUST AS HE WAS LOOKING OVER AT A much larger bolder to test it's merit against him, a huge spike of energy whipped his head around in the distance before a pillar of pink light shot up into the sky before slowly disappearing..... now he HAD to check that out.

          IT DIDN'T TAKE HIM LONG TO FLY THERE , AND what he saw certainly caught him by surprise. a brightly pink dressed woman groaning out in pain on the ground. a look of concern crossed his features as he leaned over, but before he could even finish an ❝ are you oka- ❞ a flurry of fists and feet flew in his direction. reflexes kicked in naturally and he dodged each and every one of them with ease, before finally just catching both of her fists in his palms and stopping a kick with his knee. ❝ hey hey ! calm down ! are ya alright ?? i dun think ya should be movin' like that ! ❞

Somehow, the superheroine had traveled across universes and ended up somewhere far from home. She knew of aliens and the idea of traveling across dimensions, but never suspected it could happen to her. Sam was battling against a villain alongside Mark when she was suddenly tossed through a portal badly wounded. The female landed in a wasteland very rough which caused her bones to shatter and bend in places that weren't natural. She screamed in pain as her powers started to kick in to rearrange her body atoms to heal the wounds, but she could still feel the pain.

Groaning in pain, Eve curled up to her knees trying to process everything. Her head was throbbing and her ears were ringing. The hero knew she was not alone as she sensed a presence right behind her. Instinct kicked in as she was running on pure adrenaline as her powers formed around her fists and she swung to throw a few punches and kicks.

          DEPSITE THE STINGS AND CRYING OUT FROM his pained body from her embrace, son goku ignored it all as the warmth received from her completely eclipsed any aches he might of felt from it. love was certainly illogical- as even he had the sense to know that had she had been anyone else..... goku might've felt like he'd lost a significant amount of trust in that person. but with her it was different. as much as it did hurt, he knew that her actions weren't out specifically to hurt him. quite the opposite. she knew what his grandpa meant to him. he knew how twisted he would've felt inside had he learned about the oozaru in any other way. for the first time ever a thought came across the saiyan's mind of despising his own self.

          YET , HE DIDN'T . QUITE THE CONTRARY , IN FACT after all, he had seen that power in it's truest form three times already that day. wielded by someone who made king piccolo or even his brother look like a saint in comparison. whatever the oozaru was, whatever accidental death goku had caused that night, he knew it wasn't him. he knew his grandpa wouldn't want him to blame himself either. so he'd be better- for both himself and his family. though, he'd be sure to give his grandfather a thorough apology the next time he died.

          WHEN SHE PULLS AWAY HOWEVER , THAT bright and warm smile on his features disappears to an expression of concern at the mention of the elephant in the room. their son. while there was a part of him that acknowledged that without gohan there, they wouldn't have won to begin with. yet there was another part of him deep down that was upset gohan was there to begin with. they had trained him, sure, but that was to reign in on his anger. he was supposed to stay up on the lookout with his mother. how did he even get there to begin with ? he didn't even know how to fly before goku had left to otherworld- did he learn that quickly ??

          A THIRD PART OF HIM WAS EVEN MORE EXCITED at just how much potential his son had- excitement to train him in honing that potential even further. but that had to wait. he had seen gohan transform into an oozaru from the artificial moon, and by the time he had crushed vegeta and transformed back, he was knocked out cold. gohan had certainly seen the prince wailing on both him in kaioken and his uncle in his own oozaru- so it wasn't as if he wasn't aware of it's existence. ❝ gohan.... he had seen when vegeta an' raditz were fightin' in it. i'm sure he's smart 'nough ta' know he could do that too. ❞ a pause, struggling internally to find an answer. ❝ ...i can talk ta' him 'bout it tomorrow. i don't think he'd have the same hangups 'bout it like i did. i never told 'em about the full moon monster an' grandpa. he's been through a lot already. i think he'll be fine... ❞

"Huh?"

The first thing out of her mouth is an admission of confusion. She wasn't expecting things to smooth over so quickly. From everything she's ever known, lying to someone for so long is grounds enough to end the marriage. Certainly he knew that was an option. After everything that's happened, it's hard to imagine that he still loves her.

That would be the logical thing. But what she's learned is that love tends to be illogical. And considering the fact that she still loves him, why should she expect his feelings to disappear?

"Son-kun..." She whispers his name, and then catches him in a hug. She embraces him with all of her strength, forgetting her earlier warning about him needing to rest his wounded body. Forgetting where they are, forgetting everything, she holds onto him. She holds onto him the way she wished she could have the moment she heard the battle had ended. "............ I really, really, really don't understand you, you know that? Well, if you're going to forgive me, then I won't complain..."

She loosens her grip on him, as if finding confidence that he won't leave, and sighs.

"Even if things are alright between us... what do you think will happen to Gohan? What do we tell him about all this?"
