The first hint that something was wrong, was when they all finally made it to what North referred to as the Globe room. While the enormous globe itself was quite impressive, it was the machine attached to it, that North was hoping to get a reaction about.

And a reaction he did get. The children were awed at least, gasping and talking about the size of it.

Ombric however, had gotten a strange, almost strained expression on his face, as if he had seen something he had not been prepared for. And it was in a bad way.

That, North thought, was not the reaction he had hoped for. But when one thought about it, there were slightly bad memories attached to the spire.

(Little could North know for the moment, that it was not quite the reason for Ombrics reaction.)

Pitch watched with a smirk as everyone stepped off from Bunnymund’s Egglocomotive. He wondered if anyone else would catch on to the shape of the structure, though he figured the only one who may figure it out is Katherine given her human background. Still, he couldn’t wait to see their reactions, to see if anyone figured out just… how obscene it truly is.

North ushers everyone inside and that is when Pitch and his Fearlings creep closer, looking inside to see North giving everyone a grand tour of some of the other buildings first. It wouldn’t only be a matter of time before he got to his grand finale.

The Fearlings were unsure why their master was in such an amused mood, but just followed him anyway. There wasn’t much they could do even if they were actually concerned. Pitch just cackles under his breath and continues to skulk through the darkness following the crowd.

North chuckled, brushing his fingers through his beard, carefully making certain the bows didn't get combed out by the motion.

"You know I trust your choice, Katherine." He said.

The tour was going well, North thought. They had started off with the reindeer stables, which was something the children enjoyed a lot, since they hadn't seen their reindeer friends, after the animals had moved to the North Pole. The stables were warm, and both elves and yeti were excellent at taking care of the animals.

Some of the reindeer even recognized Katherine and Nightlight, and happily nuzzled at them when they got close, remembering the time that Nightlight had helped them fly into battle against the Nightmare King.

After that, they had gone to the large workshops. Those were still in progress, but they were almost finished and some of the yeti had made welcome gifts in the form of toys, that had all been designed from plans that North had drawn.

All the while, North was talking animatedly, explaining how some of the machines worked, or how they were going to work, and the children listened attentively, while Ombric, Bunnymund, Katherine and Nightlight listened patiently with their own small smiles at their fellow Guardians' enthusiasm.

Finally, finally, North thought, as he gathered them all in an elevator, it was time to reveal his masterpiece!

"And now, for my most spectacular work!" He said, as the elevator lifted them up. "You may remember little of it, Katherine and Nightlight, since that dreadful battle with Pitch." Katherine just nodded, while Nightlight said nothing.

"And Ombric and Bunny, you remember the beginnings of it!" North continued, "but I can assure you! What you are about to see, is something you will not have seen coming!"

North had just finished looking over some of the other preparations for this gathering (he couldn't wait for the children to have a taste either of the wonderful yeti cooking), when a yeto messenger came running, and informed him that the large Egglocomotive, that was run by Bunnymund, had arrived from Santoff Claussen.

The Guardian of Wonder grinned, and immediately set off to welcome his guests. On the way, he passed by the tower machine, and he couldn't stop grinning with pride. Perhaps that should be one of the first things he would show them?

No, he would save the best for last. That way it would be more exciting. And besides, Ombric had seen it once before, though it had been without its newer editions.

'I wonder what Katherine and Nightlight will think?' North thought to himself, as he arrived at the locomotive, where he could see that Ombric and Bunnymund were helping the children out of the train.

"Welcome!" North called out. "Welcome, everyone!"

Pitch was watching this entire spectacle and while he once had sinister intentions when he saw just how… well it was coming along he wasn’t sure if he could destroy such a big, thick, and magnificent specimen. It would certainly a long night at this rate. And while he used to want to beat it into the ground, now he is quite content with it standing tall and erect because this was just too priceless. He wondered if North even knew… And he wondered if North could hear him cackling in the darkness.

How could one not laugh at the so called North Pole? Oh it was a pole all right…

Unintentional Designs @Fearlingdevil (others can jump in too if they want)

When you were a man of great accomplishments, the way that Nicholas St. North had been for many years, you would eventually get to a point, where you felt that there were no flaws with any of your work in any way whatsoever.

The North Pole itself was becoming a magnificent bastion, and with the way it had impressed even Ombric, North couldn't help but feel that the student had finally become the master. He'd had a rocky start, but who didn't? And after the mess with how Pitch Black had held Katherine captive until Nightlight had freed her, they all deserved a break in the form of things going smoothly.

Today, North felt, was especially going to be good. Katherine and Nightlight were finally well enough again, having spent time recovering in Santoff Claussen, and they and the children of the village, along with Ombric, were going to be given a tour of the almost finished North Pole. North couldn't wait to show them the workshops, or the specially designed elevators, or the reindeer stables. All of them were a wonder in itself. But what he most looked forward to showing, was the former Lamadary Tower, that now would be used as a signal for the Northern Lights.

It was going to be magnificent.
