9. The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Rating: 5 out of 5 ⭐️
Ummmmm…. I’m destroyed. All of the characters were so real, that by the end I felt like I was so invested that that I felt the pain of each loss that Evelyn experienced. It was gut wrenchingly wonderful. I loved every moment of it.

6 &7. Heartstopper 1 & 2 by Alice Oseman
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️
Both of these are rereads brought on by the release of the show adaptation (which was amazing). I love nick and Charlie and their friend group. It’s the kind of story that just makes you feel warm and cozy. There are angst moments, but they never seem drawn out or over done. Everything is perfect. It always makes me wish for my teenage years and the kind of experience I might have had if I had friends like any of the main characters in the story. This won’t be the last time I read these, just because these stories are my happy place.

Honestly one of my favorite books. I’ve reread this book more times than I can count. It’s one of those books that gives you warm fuzzing feelings. It’s a major comfort read and anytime I need a moment warm, found family book full of acceptance, love and baking this is the first book I pick up.

4. The Smile has Left Your Eyes by Danielle N. Dawsen
Rating: 3.5 out of 5 ⭐️
Enjoyable and angst. Which was exactly what I was expecting. Lots of trigger warnings, but if you go into it expecting it, there aren’t any issues or extreme surprises.

3. The Duke & I by Julia Quinn
Rating: 4 out of 5 ⭐️
Exactly what I was expecting. It was cute and fun and generally just an enjoyable read. I thought the snark and banter between Daphne and Simon was really entertaining. And the Bridgerton family as a whole is wonderful.

2. Takane & Hana 8
Rating: 4 out of 5 ⭐️
Cute, funny, short light read. Just what I look for when I want to read something fun. I love this series and it’s goofiness. It’s a series that I pick up whenever I find the next volume. Hana is one of my all time favorite characters. She’s strong and opinionated but also just a young girl who doesn’t have everything figured out. Her friend group is great. Overall, a cute great volume to a good series.

1. Library of the Sapphire Wind by
Jane Lindskold
Rating: 4 out of 5 ⭐️
Generally, I thought that this book was a wonderful mix of a fantasy and treasure hunt story. I really loved Teg, Meg, and Peg. The way that they deal with problems consitantly made me smile. The world building is interesting, and placed in an environment that is pretty recognizable so there isn’t a whole lot of deep diving into its lore. It was a light fantasy read that was extremely enjoyable! Which is exactly what I was looking for. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books!

At some point in the past, I’d started to buy books to buy books and haven’t read a great deal of them. And in a collection of books of greater than 800, I’ve decided that it’s about time I start reading them and not just look at them. So I’m starting here. To keep track and feel a little less like a failure, I’m treating this like an assignment. An assignment just for me.
Read every book that I own. Starting now.
