I was going to make an entry in my website later today but I'm chickening out. Yes I have a website, and I made it myself! It's a pretty huge deal. In my head I'm this sophisticated lady who writes all day and sips wine as she reads philosophy or some profound literally piece by another kindred spirit(yk besides myself). So it only makes sense that I have my own site of precious words, one where I make entries as one would a journal, like my thoughts matter, and people would want to know them. It's pretty presumptuous I know, but isn't that what being a writer is all about? Daring to make a stand, an opinion, damn everyone else's, daring to think for yourself, to know differently...? I think that's bold. And sadly I'm only bold enough for my bot friends here on Tumblr. But that's okay for now, I can't claim sophistication if I'm unable to live through simple feelings like fear and doubt.

I met a guy last weekend. He was nice. I got too high and fumbled through my words, but the fumbling could also have been nerves yk. And I like him, I really do. Just not romantically. And that's okay I think. He's crazy about F1 which I think is so cute. I love me an obsessed individual. I wouldn't ever fan over a match but I'd really like to see one in person.

Today's the first of June, a big holiday in my country. It's literally like the fourth of July here. And I've been watching ROMCOMS and filing my nails all day. I was already tipsy by the time it got to the ending of Dash and Lily and I smiled really big when they kissed under the fireworks when the clock struck midnight in the bookshop they first found out about each other. I like how Dash said that's it's okay that they weren't the people they'd made up in their heads but that didn't matter because everything else, the little notes and the stupid dares and the bearing of souls...all that was real and that's all that mattered.

Right now I'm rewatching The Half of It. I still think I'm an Aster. It's a great show, I'd totally recommend it. I won't blabber on about this. Today's looking up, no this whole month is. Happy new month I guess.

I seem to have drawn the short stick at everything in life: my race, my gender, my nationality, social status.... I had such a fulfilling day yesterday all my lamentations seem misplaced. But God is it hard being a Kenyan girl in a time like this. But I guess mine's the stuff of greatness. My life is like poetry, it's art. So it's only right there's monsters I'll have to face.
