Over The Rainbow:

Oh the joys of new toys...Rusty the cat was literally over the rainbow for his new toy.  Yes, cat nip can really make a cat feel over the rainbow (hahaha)...Yea I know, that was kind of corny, but so worth it.  So what are some of your cat/dogs or animal pet animal for that matter favorite new or old toy??

Cat Photograpaher:

So has anyone else experienced animal fur on bed sheets, or on their clothes?? Yes it can be a real big nuisance, but very much worth it when you have very cute animals to photograph.  

I may enjoy photographing a lot of different things such as flowers, sunsets, nature, etc...but currently my love of photography is taking picture of my cat Rusty.  He just seems to have a personality all his own.  Yes I am sure you can see it in his eyes.

It’s Finally Spring Time:

Spring is in the Air:

I do have to say that I love flowers, but spring time isn't my favorite season.  Those darn allergies!! What are some of your favorite flowers?  Spring is always the best time for many different kinds of flowers and trees just starting to bloom.  These beautiful flowers just happen to be in my front yard, so it was just that easy to walk outside of my house and take a snap photo/s of these colorful beauties.

JUST ME

So how many of you are camera shy?  Well I happen to be one of those people.  It can be hard to image that a photographer is camera shy, but a lot of the time I am actually behind the lens and not in front of it.  Since I am a photographer, I have been asked to put up a few selfie photos of me on my social media platforms, so here we go.  Here is my first selfie blog post on my website.

I have been told on many occasion that this photograph looks like a painting...I am not too sure if I agree with that, but I am glad to know that some of my photographs are compared to paintings.  This photograph was taking by me 2 years ago during my annual Thanksgiving mini vacation weekend trip down to Monterey, CA.  This city is a really awesome place to just go, take photographs, and escape the reality of everyday life.  I could spend hours at this beach with my toes in the sand.

Happy Winter Solstice everyone...

I am not much of a winter person. I tend to get really cold during the winter time, but taking photos of naked trees is really a work of art. Winter time is really fun to just sit outside your front yard, or take a short walk around your neighborhood and just snap nature photos. But if you enjoy taking nature photos during the winter...don't forget to bundle up when going outside, it sure does get c-c-cold. Who else can relate?

FOSTER GARDEN

The Great Ansel Adams

In my last post I had mentioned that one of my all time favorite photographers is Ansel Adams. Here is just a very simple and beautiful photograph by the great Adams. In his own words "You don't take a photograph, you make it." So with that said...You can always take a photo of something so simple and then turn it into a masterpiece.   This photo is of a tree's roots growing out from under the ground onto the service in Foster Garden which is located in Hawaii on the island of Oahu.   So the next time you plan on taking a vacation to Hawaii, make sure that you go check out this beautiful tree in the Foster Garden. Being a photographer it can be hard to come up with some of your favorite shots from your own personal camera. Well I do have to say that this is one of my favorite black & white photos. I am actually more of a black & White photographer than I am a colored. Do y'all have a favorite black & white photographer or even photo print? I actually have a tie for who is my favorite. I love Ansel Adams, and I also really love the work of a local artist named Michael Johnson.   So do y'all prefer colored photography or black & White. You can't go wrong with both.

Tis the season y'all...It’s that time of year again.  This photo was taken about 2 years ago.  I am such a big decorator for Christmas, and as I was putting out my decorations...my cat Rusty, decided that he wanted to greet Santa and make sure he wasn’t on the naughty list this year.  This has to be one of my favorite holiday photos.

Since Northern California (Bay Area) doesn’t get any Holiday winter snow, I have been asked what is my favorite part of the Fall/Autumn to Winter transition...and this is it! Northern California is known for all of their tall maple trees, as well as their redwood trees (Not Pictured).  This is such a lovely transition from orange/red full blown leaves to this.  So how many of you have a special time of year?? Would y'all prefer snow or no snow??

The last photo pictured is when my maple tree is in full blown fall bloom.  Just fantastic!!
