Melanie Brown has been in the spotlight since 1996 when she achieved global fame as “Scary Spice” from the Spice Girls, the best-selling female group of all time. Since then she has embarked on solo music projects, had success as a television presenter and has now published her new autobiography Brutally Honest. She talks to Jenni about her breathtakingly candid account of drug and alcohol abuse and relationships. The Spice Girls reunion tour was the worst kept secret known to man, thanks to loud-mouth Mel B, and now Scary Spice has gone and made another huge announcement against her band mates’ wishes on The Jonathan Ross Show.
You may have heard the 43-year-old I Want U Back hitmaker has reunited with Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri Horner to perform in stadiums up and down the country in 2019, but that’s not the end of it.
Yup, our pals across the pond will get to enjoy the full Spice Girls experience too as the ladies will be spicing up the lives of their American fans too.
When Jonathan asked if the troupe would be taking the tour across the world, before the others could whip their carefully planned, media trained answer together, Mel screamed: ‘It’ll be all over the world.’
Geri, stepped in to correct her. ‘The thing is, it’ll be one step at a time,’ she chipped in. ‘We’ve got families and we want to do it for the fans.
‘We’re going to do Britain, it’s our home, it’s where we started and Britain means the world to us. We care about our fans, we want to celebrate, let’s see what happens.’
Emma added: ‘Let’s see where it goes.’

Mel B has revealed that the Spice Girls are releasing a new album.
Speaking on today's Heart London Breakast Show, the mum-of-three teased that fans can look forward to new material when the girls hit the road in 2019.
When quizzed by Jamie Theakston, who presents the show with Emma Bunton, Scary Spice teased that fans will have even more to look forward to than a medley of favourites and greatest hits.
She said: "Yes we are recording an album."
However, she was quickly shot down by Sporty Spice Mel C, who interjected: "She’s fibbing!"
Today's Girl Power takeover saw the Spice Girls bring their own brand of Girl Power to the Heart London Breakfast Show.
As well as causing mayhem in the studio, Mel B teased that Victoria Beckham would be making a surprise appearance on the tour - joining the girls at their Wembley show.
Presenter Emma Bunton is joined by Mel B, Mel C and Geri Horner on this morning’s show - and they’ll be unleashing all sorts of Girl Power mayhem all over the airwaves.
On Monday it was announced that the band is hitting the road for a nation-wide tour in 2019.
Overcome with excitement, Emma couldn't help but let the cat out of the bag on that morning's Breakfast Show.
She told co-host Jamie Theakston: "I'm so excited!"
Yesterday she also struggled to keep a lid on her excitement, adding that she couldn't wait to look to her left and right and see Sporty, Scary and Ginger.
Tickets for next year's tour go on sale this Saturday November 10th.
