*The Foxian woman gives him a soft smile.* “It’s been quite a while since I last saw you!”

*Amethyst laughs softly at the other’s words, covering her mouth with her hand for a brief moment.*

“Oh, I’m your favourite? Is that so…” *She highly doubts her fellow Stoneheart is being honest, not because she would necessarily be of the sort to peg Aventurine as an untrustworthy man— although that he is to many— but because these are but the opening notes in a familiar piece of music.*

*A familiar game, one could call it— a precariously balanced yet almost sturdy relationship between the IPC’s most elite. The Stonehearts frequently exchange pleasantries with each other, sharing a laugh or an interesting fact… but that’s where the line is often drawn.*

*Anything personal? Never. In this line of work, having deeper attachments than the world of business allows can be quite a dangerous quality indeed.*

*So, in the game of a thousand faces, even if what Aventurine is saying is truthful… this 'Amethyst' he so favours is but a persona, and thus the words can only ring true to a certain extent.*

“You must say that to everybody, Mr. Aventurine… I’m certain I am no exception.”

*Amethyst’s smile remains serene, and she observes the man with a somewhat curious gaze, as if trying to decipher his true intention.* “Mmm, well… you know how things are in public relations~ recently I’ve dodged our way out of a lawsuit and I’ve been out on a few rendezvous on the Luofu to organize advertising.”

“It’s nice to be home, no matter how short that time may be~”

*The executive takes a sip from her coffee cup, swirling the last dregs of liquid around languidly.* “And what about yourself? Supposedly you’re to leave for the planet of dreams in a few days— or so I’ve heard.”

what does public relations mean? Is your job putting the IPC in a good light?

Mm, sort of!

You see, dear, public relations is often an umbrella title for a whole matter of things~

But, that’s a very astute way to condense it! 

We’re in charge of keeping agreements between the IPC and other organizations amicable and profitable. Anything in the customer service department also falls under my jurisdiction, as well as publicity of any kind!

The core of public relations is simply that— the beneficial connection between the IPC and our patrons and consumers, whether it be directly or through advertisement~

*The Foxian inclines her head slightly, the soft smile not leaving her lips.*

“You’ll have to excuse me~ I can get comfortable around others quite quickly.

And you in particular happen to have quite the calm aura. It’s comforting!”

“Oh, wonderful!” *The Stoneheart laughs softly.* 

“I’m Amethyst of Alliance, one of the IPC’s Ten Stonehearts~ I manage the Public Relations Department.” *She extends her hand in a calm gesture for the doctor to shake if he should wish.*

“I’ve heard so much about you! And I must say, the description is not far off at all… ‘sculpted like a statue of a Greek god but far more handsome’ does seem to fit quite well, among other things~”

Hey there, darling~!

*A young woman dressed in a violet pantsuit held by a lace corset around the waist walks towards Veritas with a warm smile. Her long black hair is pulled into a neat bun, but a few strands still escape, layering around her face. Fox ears of the same colour sit on her head, a proud indicator of her origins.*

You must be Doctor Veritas Ratio, correct?

*Veritas looks the woman up and down, analyzing her looks and behavior. She seems nice enough to be worthy of some of his time.*

They decided to open it regardless..} {The beginning of the letter seemed to read; "An IPC executive.. better to meet you personally before they set a meeting up for us for business purposes~”} {The middle of the letter seemed to be an invitation to dinner.. with Miss Robin herself!} {The note continued to read, "This is a special coupon, it also reserves you a spot in the VIP section, and you get to talk to me in person~! I’d rather get to meet the real you before faced with the business side of things~"}

{Their reservation for dinner seemed to be at 5 30 pm, next Thursday.} {"Sighed, -@intergalactic-singer"} {So, what will you do with it? Will you take her offer, or shoot her a letter back with a decline?}

*The Foxian Stoneheart reads the letter with wide eyes, quite intrigued at a particularly unusual offer to dine with one of Penacony’s most renowned stars-- an emissary of The Family, no less.*

*Accepting would be a fine opportunity to forge some bonds between Penacony and the IPC, even if a certain coworker of hers has already been sent to smooth things over with the head of The Family, Mr. Sunday himself.*

*And the way the message has been written seems to imply that the dinner will simply be an enjoyable evening, not closely related to business whatsoever. It seems that this 'Miss Robin' wants to know Amethyst on a personal level before any form of arrangement.*

*Could this letter really be destined to her? There are nine other Stonehearts, after all, and plenty of lower-ranking exectuives as well... but something about picturing such a lovely message written with herself in mind is too touching to forgo considering.*

*A soft smile on her face, Amethyst sits down at her desk and begins drafting a response.*

Dearest Miss Robin of The Family,

It is with greatest pleasure that I announce to you both my availability and my eagerness! I would be absolutely thrilled to join you for a meal. Your generosity does not go unappreciated-- I will cover all dining costs personally.

Your willingness for the two of us to spend some time getting to know each other before being forced by business purposes is quite unique in those who share similar positions of power, and I believe you're making quite the right choice.

I've heard you're quite the sensation in Penacony and throughout the cosmos, and for good reason! You quite literally have the voice of an angel. Sometimes your songs play in my office from time to time! I have quite the record collection~

I wonder what in the world about somebody like me could have caught the eye of someone so beautiful, especially without business in consideration~ I do hope I don't disappoint the image you must have made for me in your head.

The message from Miss Robin specifies the lack of such suffocating formality, so maybe it isn't too far of a stretch?*

*Before Amethyst can change her mind, she folds the letter neatly, melting the end of a stick of shimmering violet wax over a nearby candle flame before dripping a few drops onto the middle of the paper folds, stamping a gem-shaped seal into the cooling wax.*

*Brushing the materials aside, she summons a Cycrane to her window and hands the finished letter towards its beak, sending it to be shipped to the ports in Aurum Alley and delivered to Penacony.*
