Tumblr executives are being like "Oh, Tumblr is a strip club. So, it means a dance club! Yeah! We love dance clubs! How can we get more people into this commonly normal dance club Tumblr and make it as profitable as other fun dance clubs in the area?"
We're screaming: "No! This is a strip club! Strippers!"
Tumblr exes: "No, no strippers. We don't like any strippers here. We don't go to strip clubs, we don't understand who would even want to go there. But dancing! We need more regular folks here to dance with drinks! This needs to be a hip and cool place!"
We: "What part of the strip club you don't understand?"
New people: "Umh, we don't want to go to dance to a strip club... It's too weird and looks shady. We already have other dance clubs we like and go to dance to."
Tumblr exes: "Oh but you will love Tumblr Strip Club That Is Just a Normal Dance Club for Everyone! Look, we tore down some stages, more room for you to dance and evicted some Tumblr strip club folk so there's more space for you!"
We Tumblr: "You took away stripping stages?! We need them, we love them, we come here exactly because this is a strip club!"
New people: "But it's still a strip club..."
Tumblr exes: "No, it isn't :) Ignore the naked women you see as soon as you enter the door, whether you want it or not. It's Strip Live and it's not about strippers or naked women. Just normal people chatting and having fun!"

not proshipper not anti but a secret third thing (person who has a career in the media and, through covering legislative politics, has watched "associating with problematic fiction or entertainment is an indicator of moral degeneracy" rapidly become a mainstream GOP position that they are encoding in legislation to target the queer community under the guise of protecting children, thus coming to the conclusion that positioning the "can people enjoy things that would be immoral IRL in their fiction" debate as a proship v anti fandom debate is akin to pretending that "should we have the death penalty" is a discussion that only matters in Death Note discourse — the extent and manner to which fiction affects reality is an issue that is immediately relevant to today's US politics, and to summarize my opinions on the matter in fandom terms would be to diminish the ways this debate is affecting america Right The Fuck Now. and i have stopped taking "this person is bad for shipping the wrong anime thing and being horny about it" in any sort of good faith ever since I saw it literally used as part of a GOP smear campaign against a transgender state legislator in an attempt to defend the right from backlash after they used their supermajority in the Montana house to prevent her from speaking on the floor. Anyway I think everyone on this site, especially Americans, could benefit from ceasing to think in proship v anti vocabulary and instead developing coherent political positions on the nature of fiction that do not directly align with current fascist political tactics)

sorry but i simply cannot take anyone seriously with this argument. being horny is not a crime. acting inappropriately toward another person is a different thing from simply perceiving them in a way that scratches your brain. but you cannot make sexual thought crimes (thot crimes) a thing without it leading down an EXTREMELY homophobic, transphobic path of "the WRONG type of person PERCEIVED ME and I DID NOT CONSENT TO IT." sometimes you will be perceived by people you personally are not attracted to, and i'm sorry, but that alone is not a problem. you do not need consent to find another person attractive. being horny is fine, actually. get over it.

are you a high school student about to take the apush exam? boy do i have some good news for you
for some reason when i took the apush test in 2018 i decided to make my study guide in the form of a shitpost. im talking bullet points. pop culture references. gen z lingo. its 102 pages long. i ended up getting a 5 on the test and this is literally all the studying i did. i am also now a history major.
but since i remember things better in shitpost form, it worked really well then memorizing dense text. and i know the test hasn't changed that much, so, i thought i would offer it to anyone who needs it.
it spans everything i learned in US 1 and US 2 and goes in chronological order. i haven't read through it in a hot minute but i think that everything in there should make sense. i essentially clown on the us for 100 pages in shitpost form.
so for all of you stressing about the exam on thursday, don't. read a shitpost instead. it will help you.

(for the purposes of this poll, there is no monkey's paw situation: the chore you pick stays the same level of difficulty/grossness/etc. as it normally is for you, and you only have to do it as often as you want to. the chores you don't pick are magically done for you exactly the way you'd want them to be, just with zero effort on your part.)

i should NOT have to download a fucking mobile app to connect to the online, previously browser-accessible staff portal and fill out forms on the portal.
but even if we accept the basic fucking premise of a mobile app to access a website: the app should let staff log in before they're emailed about having to do so.

children existing in public spaces is genuinely like. necessary for the continuation of society. it doesnt have to be your kids you dont have to volunteer at a daycare or whatever but you need to be able to tolerate the presence of someone who is learning how to exist as a human and interact with people

image text: #of course it is #how does this character deal with intimacy and vulnerability? #what's their sexuality? who do they like? *what* do they like? how comfortable are they with physical touch? how's their hygiene? #do they lie in bed? do they put on an act? are they a stammering mess? how experienced are they? what does that say about their backstory? #what's their dynamic with the other person involved? is this their first time or their thousandth time? where is it happening and when ? #and what does that mean for the characters and the story they're in ? #sex scenes are character development moments #*gets dragged offstage by security*
yeah bro it's a character study. the 2 thousand words of blowjob is vital to the study of the character

I don’t think it’s true at all that the reason most people dress boring is that they want to fit in sometimes you just need to accept that not everyone is obsessed with finding a unique style some people just wear clothes to avoid public indecency
