in the early mornings, when he, his partner, Mercedes and Melchior are all cuddle up together, that's when he feels the most peaceful.

he'd go so far as to say that they come close to the evening strolls he takes through the garden with them, when the moonlight makes their eyes shine in a way the richest jewels could not replicate.

maybe they even beat out the way his partner always seems so focus on that thing they love doing. their lips in a soft, nearly unnoticeable pout, the concentrated expression on their face.

in both of these cases, he'd feel the need to loudly announce his own charme and boast about his abilities, but the early mornings i mentioned before..

he's quiet. for once, he's entirely still and he wonders;

'every mistake i made, every atrocity i've commited, and they still find joy in my company. what a beautifully strange love i have.'
