God bless the myNoise app. Some sounds are really comforting to me and it helps calm me down when my anxiety is staring to act up. A lot of them are intentionally designed to block out sounds like conversations or traffic or anything else that’s putting you on edge.

Anyways, I’m just really happy with it right now…

the funniest dynamc between my boyfriend and i is the chef/baker divide runs so deep. experimentally my boyfriend is a genius with figuring out what flavor profiles will not just taste good together but also will be enjoyed by the specific audience he is cooking for. a recipe is not a guidebook so much as a suggestion and he will frankenstein ideas together to get exactly what he wants to happen. he also didnt know that sugar will not work properly if you dont mix it with the wet ingredients in banana bread and when i asked 'why didnt you do it in the order of the recipe' he said 'i didnt really think it mattered'. autistically i exploded his head in my mind

#it does matter! you cream that butter and sugar! #whip it with the eggs until it’s fluffy! #maybe the baked goods will still come out ok #if you add the ingredients out of order #but it’s won’t be a great result #also if you add sugar directly to the eggs it’ll burn the eggs #and nobody wants that

Why are the only options more than 1 shower per day or basically never?? #I shower every other day #if you shower more than once every day for reasons other than getting dirty and sweaty #I guess it’s not performative…but it might be messing with your skin? #sometimes showering less will actually make you less oily

For me I have a lot of health issues and can’t work because of it, and family issues as well, but if it was a perfect world, I would choose two kids. That way they have each other.

#sang in a choir for almost ten years…then three years of voice lessons #let’s see. I’ve sung in… #Latin. Italian. German. Russian #French. (Creole French). Bulgarian. Spaniah #Hebrew. An African language? maybe Swahili? It’s been 12 years so I don’t remember exactly #and of all of the French is the WORST language to sing in #they just use whatever vowels sounds they’re feeling at that moment #Russian was fun to sing in #Latin and German are the staple languages…so many famous composers were some form of German #ah…and 24 Italian Songs and Arias….the legend

other people being able to have the same last name as you without you being related is so scary. what if I run into one of them and we have to start a law firm

#the only people with the same last name as me in the US are my relatives #except the funny thing is….my dad married someone with the same first name as me #(she goes by a shortened version of the name that I don’t) #so now me and my stepmom have the exact same first and last names #except I was here first!!!!

You can spend $30+ on a puzzle toy for your cat, or you could put a couple treats in an empty coke bottle. Which occupies him for much longer than any fancy puzzle toy.

#one of my many genius inventions #the 2L bottle is too hard for him though #recommend using just a regular plastic one #if you need to make it harder then block off a bit of the opening

#sit in the shade and have a fan blowing on you #in my brain 21°F comes with weather that’s not fun in and of itself #like. neither one is great. #but when you sit your body cools down from not moving #which is less comfortable when it’s below freezing #in summer you should have lush greenery and intensely blue skies and maybe even thunderstorms to watch #the important thing is. just keep moving air on you.
