Hello everybody.

I decided to do something I've been thinking about for a long time, inspired by friends. I got my art on and I am really happy with how it turned out 鈾ワ笍

My Vanda bangcock sunrise is doing something very strange with its leaves. The last 3 have grown straight up. Super odd and I have a sneaking suspicion it had to do with the heat this summer.

Still blooming and fragrant as the day it bloomed this thing is going strong and filling the room with a fruity and cinnamon smell.

This is one of only 2 nepenthese I got out of about 10 that survived the heat dome and heatwave.
Needless to say I was thrilled when it opened and for such a small pitcher to have such a detailed lip, I am expecting great things 馃挅

Spent over an hour gently separating some pingicula from a gigantic clump with tweezers and got 5 great sized pingicula plants from it! Really excited to watch them grow!!
Then did it again on a drosera that I had bought 3 of that grew together and had spawned a 4th.
This project was meant to be a quick replanting. Nope, 4 hours and a sore back later but I am so thrilled!
Edit: here's another shot after I cleaned it up a bit with the LED's on.

I've had this idea for over a year, put all the carnivorous plants in similar easy stacking pots and put them in a tray for easy watering.
Tonight I finally did it with an old serving platter as the tray!
The fresh peat moss did leak out so I got water but that can be easily fixed but I am super happy with it.
Bonus points if you peeped my gravity defying rock on the right front of the tray to balance out the un level floor.

Having an indoor garden is great, but sometimes I wish I could just let all the dead leaves fall down, rake it into a big pile and set it on fire, buuuut... People would get mad if I did that inside

Had some free time and some energy tonight, an increasingly rare combination lol. But, I did manage to tackle all the dead and dying plants that needed to be tackled. Most of these succumb to the heat wave after the heat dome in the summer and just were never able to bounce back 馃槶. I really want the north american pitcher plant again! So look forward to seeing a baby one in the future!!
