She still messed with her sleeves in an anxious manner, but her movements seemed to be a little bit more stiff now. "And once again, life just loves me. I truly never expected the famous lines "we need to talk" to be used upon the filth that I am... ever."

"But fuck it. There's stuff that... needs to be said, I guess, and it would be best to deal with it now-" Another awkward shift came from the thin girl before she continued to speak. "I mean... that's what people who don't avoid their issues like I do would normally say, right-?"

When she had manage to feel the mystery novelist's lips upon her temple, Hikaru's face had flushed a deeper red, if that was even possible at that point. The tears she had shed were short-lived, fading away almost as quick as they appeared, and that just left the NEET resting her head on Shiori's shoulder.

What a gay disaster.

"I really... don't deserve someone like you-" She let out a brief sniffle, only to then notice that the echoing sound of footsteps had finally left.

This.. was real.

And she was more than okay with that.

Oh dear. As soon as she managed to hear the slight change of pitch within Shiori’s voice at the mention of what she had saw, the NEET anxiously bit her lip. Hikaru was quick to stop herself from info dumping, fully aware that it would make things in the situation worse. She swallowed hard, and she attempted to form the most steady voice she would. (Which truly wasn’t very steady at all)

As soon as she felt Shiori’s arms wrap around her skinny form, her cheeks immediately grew a darker red that could’ve almost matched the mystery novelist’s hair. Hikaru awkwardly stood there for a few moments, being extremely clueless with what to do next, until she attempted to mimic what Shiori had done. 

Lord help this girl. 

“What.. I’m seeing..?” Hikaru winced a little at the sudden mention of the awful sight that she saw and the sound that she was still hearing. Still, nonetheless, she trusted Shiori enough to let her touch her.. so there wouldn’t be a problem with telling her, right? “It...u-uhm...sorta involved you in a way, Yodogawa-”
