time to ramble bout my nerevarine. because i can do what i want on tumblr dot com.

rildras will never forgive himself for killing dagoth ur. he would do again. if you offered him a chance to walk back into time and offered him the opportunity to save dagoth ur instead of killing him, he would go back just to kill him again. he would kill him again, and again, and again, as many times as he has to--because his hands should be the ones to end dagoth ur's life, and nobody else's.

he knows there is no saving dagoth ur. voryn is dead, voryn is long since gone, just like nerevar is. dagoth ur is just voryn's shadow and rildras is nerevar's. they are two halves of the same whole, but the pieces are jaggedly broken and don't fit right anymore. they can never be made complete again.

he will never forgive himself but he would do it again. he held dagoth ur in his arms as he died and wept into his chest, the same chest he stabbed through only moments prior. he burned his body in the fires of red mountain. he took the mask from his corpse and a pouch of ashes to always remember him by.

he loved him. it wasn't enough. he loves him still. he will die hating himself for what he's done, he will die loving dagoth ur, he will die mourning voryn, and he will die willing to do it all over again.
