DO NOT POST YOUR ADDRESS ONLINE TO MEET OTHER THERIANS
I have seen kids ages ranging from 9-13 ish post their ages, faces, and addresses in the hopes of meeting other therians. DO NOT DO THIS!!! Please for the love of everything don't do this, don't post anything publicly, no one should know anything personal about you.
"Well I want irl therian friends!"
You can make irl friends differently, try drawing the delta on your hand or wearing a delta necklace. I know it's not easy to find other therians, but don't post anything about you.
You could be hurt, assaulted, robbed, ect. Bad things can and WILL happen. Be safe online please!
EDIT: please reblog! I don't like forcing people to reblog stuff with a guilt trippy tag, but when it comes to internet safety reblogging is important!
If you don't reblog it's less likely for someone who needs this to see it!
Not forcing anyone of course! But please reblog!

For therians researching their identity! (and anyone looking up animals.)
There is a site, animalia.bio, that lets you not only check out animals you already know names of, but also search by habitat, genus etc.
It lists behavior, appearence, biomes in which the animal lives, shows distribution, climate zones and even lists characteristic traits (which you can click and find even more animals!!) like if the animal is nocturnal, nomadic, a predator, territorial, social or a migrant. You can also find diet, lifestyle habits and mating habits information.
Hope this'll help someone

The story of Admirable
Marie-Etter Pellegrin’s horse, Admirable, has quite an interesting lifestory. This horse beat all the odds to come back to showjumping’s highest level after very serious health issues.
Pellegrin met with the reporters from Equestrian to tell Admirable’s story. « No horse can come back at this level after what he had ».
Tumblr media
She met this gigantic horse through her stepfather, and fell in love with him after the first ride. Not a lot of people believed in this horse, but Pellegrin knew she had a crack. She took her time to build an international level athlete ; together, they were reservist for the 2012 WEG in Lexington.
Tumblr media
Admirable’s health issues started after a little operation for a problem on a foreleg. During his resting period, despite all precautions, he had an obstruction of the esophagus and had to undergo another surgery.
Two weeks later, he had an infection. His heart couldn’t handle all the sedatives and stopped. « At this moment, the vet looks at my husband and says “Well…”. And then I think my husband imagined his life with me, having lost the horse, and thought “no, that’s not possible”. And so he jumped with both knees on the horse’s thoracic cavity, and the heart restarted ».
Tumblr media
After this near-death experience, the horse was still in critical condition. Pellegrin and her groom took turn to keep watch on Admirable all day long. « He was hearing me coming, and really it was horrible, he was settling his head on me, he was dying, scrawny… It’s a very painful memory ».
Tumblr media
« It was really long to get him back into action, but we really took our time. We did everything humanly possible, with the vets, the treatments… But it takes forever ».
Thanks to this constant attention and care, Admirable was miraculously able to come back to the top level. He even ended 3rd in the Grand Prix at Calgary, and 8th in the World Cup leg in Lyon.
Tumblr media
« I feel like he’s giving me back everything I did for him, and it’s an incredible feeling ».
Tumblr media
Now, Pellegrin says Admirable does lots of trottings, gets out a lot but « doesn’t work much ». The pair only competes once a month. Admirable had a two months vacations after Geneva, where this interview happened.
Tumblr media
« It’s very rare to ride a horse with such quality, such intelligence. […] It’s an honor to ride a horse like him ».

•Therian Convergence Official Event Announcement!!•
Tumblr media
•Greetings! In summer of 2024, a new online gathering of therian identifying individuals will be happening! The purpose of this event is to bring the therian community together in a positive, safe space to connect with each other, talk about their experiences, and ask for support and advice! Featured at this event will be movie nights, presentations by members of the community, special art streams, and many channels where individuals can connect with others and share their experiences! If you want to receive regular updates on the upcoming event and connect with the individuals creating and joining the event, feel free to join the off season discord server for the event, sanctuary beyond the mists! It is a safe, non-judgemental space where therian gatekeeping is not allowed. If you are interested in attending the event or signing up as a staff member to help out with event planning and moderating, fill out one of the two forms below! If you want to host a panel or event stream at the gathering come next summer, please send a direct message to @luunaathh with your idea. If you want to sign up as an artist for the event so you can advertise your commissions, art projects, and social media sites, please also send a direct message to @luunaathh! We thank you for reading and we hope to see you at the convergence! If you have any other inquiries about the event, send an ask or a direct message to this blog.
<•>
•Disclaimer-Therian gatekeeping is absolutely not allowed at this event. Our definition of gatekeeping includes perpetuating the myth that therians can only be earthen animals, telling others they cannot use the term “therian” for whatever reason, and grilling others on their identity. This event is also not for those who claim to be zoo therians”. Anyone who is found to be engaging in elitist, inappropriate, or otherwise unacceptable behavior will be banned from the event. We will not negotiate on this rule to ensure the safety of our attendees and our community.

Equidae is the first ever Equine Therianthropic forum encompassing all there is to the equine Alterhuman experience.
"Equidae (sometimes known as the horse family) is the taxonomic family of horses and related animals, including the extant horses, asses, and zebras, and many other species known only from fossils. All extant species are in the genus Equus, which originated in North America. Equidae belongs to the order Perissodactyla, which includes the extant tapirs and rhinoceros, and several extinct families. The term equid refers to any member of this family, including any equine."
It was established in February 2023. It aims to curate a taxonomy-focused community that strives toward providing an Alterhuman platform for those on the equid or equid-like spectrum. A website created by horses, for horses.

My Gender is [NOT] Human Zine is Now Accepting Submissions!
Xenogender: A gender that cannot be contained by human understandings of gender; more concerned with crafting other methods of gender categorization and hierarchy such as those relating to animals, plants, or other creatures/things.
This zine will be a collection of artwork, writing and more created by alterhumans and nonhumans to express both their species identity, gender, and how they intersect. While this zine will have an xenogender slant, everyone who has something to share about how their species and gender overlap are encouraged to submit pieces! Similarly, if you are currently questioning, you are still welcome to participate. Anonymous submissions are accepted.
What Can I Submit?
Both fiction and nonfiction pieces are accepted. As long as what you have in mind fits the theme, it’ll probably be a-ok.
Off the top of our head, we’re thinking of:
Essays of your personal experiences
Short stories
Poetry
Advice columns
Artwork
Fictional advertisements
Comics
Mock interviews
This is far from an exhaustive list, we welcome you to think outside the box!
How to Participate
Please email your completed submission to ruffledgryphon(@)gmail(.)com and title the email “My Gender is Not Human Zine Submission.” Also make sure to include the following information in your email:
A name you would like the piece attributed to
Title of your submission
Any content warnings that you feel are necessary for the piece
Any social media handle or personal website you’d like listed in the contributor section
A logo or icon for the contributor section
**If you would like to stay anonymous please let us know
Members of systems are welcome to submit individually or collectively. Please let us know your preference when it comes to attribution.
Once the deadline has passed, the submissions will be crafted together into a single zine and it will be posted on our itch.io as a free PDF.
Submissions are due by May 1, 2024.
Our itch.io: https://ruffledgryphon.itch.io/
Submission Guidelines
Each individual may submit up to 3 works to be featured in My Gender is [NOT] Human. Comics and multi-image works count as one piece. Individuals within a system may each submit up to 3 works. All work must be your own! Anyone caught plagiarizing or submitting AI-generated work will be barred from entering My Gender is [NOT] Human and any future zines from us.
Written submissions should not exceed 30 pages and multi-part art entries should not exceed 10 pages. Please keep in mind the zine’s pages will be 8.5x11 and entries will be scaled accordingly to fit that size. We request all art submissions to be sent in either .jpg or .png file formats.
For stories that use multiple different fonts, we will do our best to preserve the general “feel” of your piece but cannot guarantee we will be able to use the exact fonts or sizes due to restrictions in what fonts we have access to, readability and overarching zine style.
Submissions must fit the thematic criteria of
About the intersection of gender and species identities
If you’re not sure if you count, feel free to reach out to us. However, we will be leaning on the side of “Yes! We’d love to hear from you!”
FAQ
Q: Where will the zine be hosted? What will it cost? A: The zine will be hosted digitally on our itch.io and will be free to download. Our itch.io can be found here: https://ruffledgryphon.itch.io/
Q: Is there a cap on submissions? A: There is none, as long as the file doesn’t start getting too big for our computer we’ll do our best! If there are an unprecedented amount of submissions, we may have to delay the release. In the event that happens, we would communicate that through updates on our tumblr.
Q: Can I update my application after it’s been submitted? A: Yes you may, as long as that is communicated to us before the submission deadline.
Q: Can I rescind my submission? A: Yes you may, as long as that is communicated to us before the submission deadline. This is because once we begin work on the zine, having to remove content mid-way through would throw off the formatting of everything else after. Please take this into account before submitting.
Q: Will this zine allow NSFW entries? A: No, nothing 18+ will be accepted.
Q: What is your timeline for the project? A: Our submission deadline is May 1, 2024. We are then planning to spend the next month compiling all of the entries. Our goal is to have the zine live by June 1, 2024. If something unforeseen happens and we are unable to make that deadline, we will post an update about it on our tumblr.
Q: I have another question! A: Feel free to reach out to us at our email ruffledgryphon(@)gmail(.)com or here on tumblr  with any other questions you have about the zine.
