To be honest, while Jake's character has been more developed as the seasons progressed, Devon and Lexy have not received the same treatment. Lexy was initially introduced as a bully who later became Jake's friend. She has now been reduced to just being an attractive face with little to contribute to the plot. Her only reason for sticking around is that she and Jake have a common enemy in Chucky, and she is trying to find Caroline. Devon, on the other hand, was initially a sassy but supportive person. He has now become nothing more than Jake's love interest. Interestingly, Grant has only been around for one season, and he has more character depth than either Devon or Lexy

I’ll admit, I’m actually not a fan of Jake’s development. Him being too overconfident and almost arrogant about Chucky in season 3 despite falling for his tricks in season 2 is getting on my nerves. I’m more interested in Devon and Lexy having development rather than Jake. They, but especially Devon, deserve better. I gotta do more research on Grant (cause my ass refuses to watch the show but all the clips I find on social media is with him and Lexy and the ship is bleh) but I’m already liking him more than Jake

S3 Finale Theory

(Spoilers for 3x 07 of Chucky ahead)

Okay so I know I’m probably really crazy for thinking this and I’ll probably end up being completely wrong but whatever let me dream. So in the ending of this week’s episode we learn that Jake is entering the spirit realm for the finale and personally I think it would be cool if he bumped into Junior while he’s there. By the rules the series has given us the only way they could really interact is if Junior had unfinished business and I have a strong idea of what that could possibly be. As we see in season one it becomes more and more obvious that that Junior isn’t being himself and is essentially being used as a way for Logan to relive his youth. So what if Junior’s unfinished business is that needs to be open and accepting of who he truly is so he can move on. I feel like that’s something Jake could really help Junior with if he did show up in the S3 finale. Plus I just want an excuse to see Teo.
