genuinely it ticks me off so bad when people say that hot vampires are a modern contrivance. no you fool. you cretin. you fake vampire fan. read carmilla. read the vampyre. read the giaour. actually maybe don't read the giaour on account of all the unchecked orientalism. arguably, read christabel. read varney the vampire and then give up almost immediately when you realize it's over 650k words. also remember that dracula is not the only vampire in dracula. I fight for sexy vampire rights every day of my life.
