Stamping polish is designed to be extra pigmented, you can use regular polish that has good pigment payoff. You may need to test the polishes over light and dark bases to see how they look.
Do you have to use stamping polish to use stampers and plates?

So I wanted a mini spa day for myself
But I ended up being too rough with the pumice stone and now one side of my foot has a gash and it bled 😭.
Why am I so careless?!

I'll be honest, this was a pain in the ass to do. I couldn't find a good black nail polish that would work with both the stamp plate and the stamper. I forgot to put latex around the nail because I'm used to using small designs that do not cover beyond the nail bed and plate, and I did not test my favorite top coat for compatibility with the black stamping polish, therefore I smeared the design on one nail due to my bad habit of dragging the brush, so I ended up gliding it after to avoid any more smears. Which is not as easy as it sounds. Not to mention my base color was so milky it took several coats to make it opaque. Why didn't I start over with a more opaque color? Because I'm a stubborn bitch that's why xD. Also my top coat (running low and therefore cloudy due to always using it) no longer applied smoothly so I had to buy a new one, no problem really since I always have a backup ready. It still took forever to dry due to the unholy amount of coats of the base color I used, which resulted in smudges and tears. I had to fix them and it took 3 days total to do this whole mani, something that would usually take me between 1-2 hrs on average. I tried taking a pic with the stamping plate but it kept showing my reflection and light and it was too big to be able to hold it without it being awkward. So yeah, I'll still list what I used but I suggest you do not do what I did to avoid this frustration. Base coat: L.A. Colors MEGAGROW base coat Nail polishes: L.A.
