If Vince hadn't done the atrocities he did and he and Roody became a couple, do you think they would work out or not?

If I’m honest? Probably not.

Wait wait wait, do have a reason- from the beginning, we’re shown that Rody’s quite dependent on Manon for his happiness (she’s the whole reason he even gets the job in the first place), and his love borders on obsessive. I could talk about the themes of obsession in Dead Plate for a million years, but I won’t to save your time (haha).

Vincent seems to be, at the most, mildly interested in Rody, and Rody’s (presumably) constant need for validation and love from a partner just wouldn’t suit him very well. Sure, they might be fine for a few months or so, but inevitably they’d separate, even if it were simply because of differences in how they view romantic relationships.

So yeah, I don’t think they’d work- it’s a ship with a whole bunch of potential and I love it, but even if Vincent hadn’t killed Manon, they just wouldn’t have worked out in the end.
