the most insane richonne lore relating to production is that both andrew lincoln and danai gurira have casually mentioned in interviews that there's an extended cut that will "never see the light of day" of the van scene in the 'say yes' where they both claim to have got "carried away" and the director just "kept rolling", but the director himself has gone on record to say the footage is "kept under lock and key" and all three just giggle and blush about it whenever it's brought up and we're just all meant to accept the....... uh Implications™ (affectionate) of that and go on with our days sjsjsjajaj

No shade but no ship in twd universe is ever beating Richonne. No ship captains are ever beating Dandy. They really gave us a spin off with Richonners always in the forefront of their minds. They said this series was for us and they meant it. We didn’t have to guess, piece nothing together or even take any so called off screen stuff as canon. They gave us everything and I love them for that. Thanks to the wonderful job of Andy, Danai and Gimple. Gimple saw the chemistry and Dandy made the rest history

Knowing what we know now, makes this little scene all the more special. The way his finger latched onto hers, like he didn't want to break that brief contact. How he went out there intent on finding her that toothpaste. How he was going to give her the entire crate. How he let her borrow all of his until it was gone.

Knowing what we know now makes this scene all the more endearing. How he waited on the couch for her to come to him and talk. How he asked to hear about her day. How he looked confused and kind of annoyed when she said she found a guy, too.

Knowing what we know now makes this moment all the more exhilarating. The utter joy on Rick's face. The way he needed to breathe Michonne in, but pull back to look at her.

Rick was in love with Michonne the whole time and didn't know what to do about it? He was in love with her the whole time. It makes me think about all of the other times. We could see there was attraction there, but love?
