The draugr or draugen, also called “again-walker” is an undead creature from Norse mythology. Drauger are noted for having numerous magical abilities resembling those of living witches and wizards such as shape-shifting, controlling the weather and seeing into the future Drauger live in their graves, often guarding treasure buried with them in their burial mound. They are animated corpses - unlike ghosts they have a corporeal body with similar physical abilities as in life. Wikipedia

This particular draug has, with its tree eyes, the ability to see into Asgard, the Upper world where the gods live. Midgard, the middle world and world of humans. And Niflheim, the underworld. His body is created of fox and deer remains, tied with ropes and pieces of old fabric.

53cm (20 inches) tall. Head is a resin replica of a fox skull made by Skullery, eyes are glass (the biggest eye is created by glassblower Marcel Rensmaag), horns are cast in resin (and glow in the dark), hands are sculpted of Free Form epoxy and Sculpey polymer clay mix. His body has high quality ball socket armature inside, so you don’t have to worry that the armature will snap or break. This doll is well balanced, can stand on its own (leaning on it’s tail for better support), fully posable, head and hands can be rotated. Decorations are made of real animal/bird bones and teeth (that I collected on the beach or bought from a taxidermist), crystals and assorted wooden beads, cloth is faux leather, dreads are dyed sheep yarn (all other fur on the doll including the one on forearms is faux). The body is bound in home dyed linen cloth and hemp cords.

Each one of my dolls comes with a wooden tag signed and dated proofing that this is an original doll made by Remjie.
