And she is absolutely right about that! My mom runs a cosmetic company my grandma founded, so I've been hearing about the importance of sunscreen my entire life, maybe a little too often. No sunscreen offers 100% protection, though, so getting that tan is pretty much inevitable for me during heatwaves like this one, or during the summer in general. And I can't say I hate it. But you're definitely right that actually lying down fully exposed to the sun with the sole purpose of tanning is not a good idea, and certainly not without a good amount of SPF.
But enough about sunscreen science! How are you and Marley doing? And how's the wedding planning going?
Awesome!
Is tan really healthy these days though? Marls keeps telling me to use some sunscreen...

I couldn't have said it better myself! The machine is working its magic right now as we speak, so I'll keep you updated. And I'll make sure to send that raven your way, with or without the iced tea.
So, did you and Banner survive the heatwave? You must be happy it was over right before the end of your summer break. Are you working on anything for Glee yet, like weekly themes or setlists?
That's the spirit! After all, Do, or do not... there is no try, right??? Keepin' my fingers crossed that it does taste good. Hey, even if it doesn't, you're always welcome to send a raven my way.

I would feel the exact same way, so we are absolutely not doing that. You know what? Let's just agree to disagree on this one and be happy that we both found our perfect match when it comes to kissing.
I will never forget that party, though. Or the aftermath, which was also wild. I’m pretty sure that was my first time spending time with all of you, and it was definitely a night to remember.
I’m not sure we could find a reliable third party to judge, and even if we could, I have little desire to see my wife kissing anyone but me even if it is for science and well deserved acclaim.
Though if you’re throwing down the gauntlet with that last claim, I might reconsider just to set the records straight.

I'm good, thanks! Same here, actually, with my Filipino roots. And I got a nice tan out of it, so I'm not complaining.
blainexanderson:
@theoneryderlynn thanks broskI!
@blaineanderson You’re welcome, man! How are you? Did you survive the heatwave?
Somehow my Cuban roots have helped to survive! I guess I’m immune to sun. How are you, buddy?

Sixty days actually still sounds quite far away. Kurt and I are already brainstorming about costumes, though, so we are slowly getting into the Halloween spirit too Do you have any ideas yet?
HAPPY SEPTEMBER 1st, All y'all.
And you know what that means, right?
Only Sixty days left until Halloween!

Like I said, Fabray, I backed off over a decade ago. One hundred percent gay.
Good to know that, because she is mine Anderson. Back off!

I couldn't have said it better myself.
Oh, so we're turning this into a competition now, huh? Now, I wouldn't know about that, as I've never kissed Quinn, but I do like to think that my kissing skills have improved since then. I've had lots of practice with the Kurt Hummel, world's greatest kisser, after all.
The kiss was nice, and Blaine is a wonderful person who I am fortunate enough to count among my best friends, but friends is all either of us want or need to be.
And not to slander Blaine in anyway, but Quinn’s kisses are better.

Baby steps, am I right? Give it another decade and you might be down to one quilt. You'll get there. That sounds really adorable, and I'm totally picturing it right now. Have you learned to appreciate any winter activities, such as ice skating and drinking hot cocoa? Or do you just dislike anything that has to do with cold weather?
blainexanderson:
Good! I was about to get worried about you for having to go without your Sweet Tea for so long.
You know what, that’s valid. I’ve spent my winters ice skating and making snowmen my entire life (and I even ran away on my ice skates once as a kid, which was very dramatic) but I agree with you that sixty is the moment to break out those extra layers. I do wonder how you survive your winters here in New York, though.
And I appreciate it.
For the first couple of years, I was either tucked away in my dorm under a few dozen quilts, or wrapped up in so many layers that I looked like the Stay-Puft marshmallow man. I have adjusted a little since; I reckon I’m down to only eight quilts now on average.

True or false: You had a crush on Rachel?
(true/false game)
Oh wow, it's been a while since anyone has brought that up. I'm going to have to say false. I thought I had a crush on Rachel. Our spin-the-bottle kiss felt nice and I enjoyed her company. But when she kissed me again when we were both sober, I realised my feelings for her were strictly platonic, and that I'm definitely one hundred percent gay.

True or false: You've never used a dating app?
(true/false game)
False. I gave Tinder and Grindr a try when I moved back to Ohio — briefly, before Dave and I got together. It wasn't really much of a success, though.

Oh, I can imagine. Your schedule is always full enough as it is, without any heatwaves getting in the way of your plans.
It's a shame that early mornings weren't an option for you guys! They really helped us. I'm so glad to hear that she's feeling happier now that it's all over and she can enjoy going out again, though!
You know I will always be there front row centre for you! I can't wait. And perfect, please do. You know I'm only one phone call away.
blainexanderson:
I agree!
I hope you’ve been able to catch up on all your projects now that the weather is a little less extreme. Is there anything I can help you with? Those limited hours outside were quite the challenge, huh? Especially for the kids. We went outside really early every day, just so we could still enjoy some time outside before it got too hot, and I tried to plan as many fun indoor activities during the day as I could. I’m glad that the worst heat is over now, though, because I was kind of starting to run out of ideas… I hope Moriah didn’t get too upset about it and that she’s feeling much happier now that she can go outside more again!
.
I have, though some of it has been a bit hectic to make up for lost time. I’m just glad the heat wave hit when it did and not closer to my (first) opening night of the year.
And early morning would have been a perfect compromise if Moriah wasn’t in a sleep-in phase right now.But yes, she is much happier now that she gets to both sleep in and go out more (and so am I).
And I don’t think there’s anything you can do at the moment beyond be there front row centre when the time comes, but if I think of anything I’ll let you know.
